Mos Def actually came from the theater community before he was a rapper... I agree that the "stick a rapper in every movie" trend is getting old - imagine if that were popular during the '80s hair metal days. But Mos Def doesn't qualify. Ok I admit Ford Prefect is supposed to be one cool a$$ kinda dude. Hence Mos Def could be an interested adaptation of the character... But the only thing that seems "off" about this is.. I always imagined him as white with brown hair... Is it simply because I assumed so? or do the books describe him physically and I just can't recall exactly what was written... (It has been a few years since I last read them)

I recall being annoyed when the original TV series portrayed Trillian as a blonde when she was most certainly supposed to be a brunnette. So am I any more of an ass for just wanting the characters to be what I imagained them to be when I read the books?
