July 17, 2004Jadakiss Spins His Bush QuoteOkay check out Jada's first explanation of his "Why did Bush knock down the towers?" lyric: As for the controversial line, the Yonkers, N.Y., rapper's view is unwavering. "I just felt [Bush] had something to do with that," Jadakiss says, referring to the events of Sept. 11. "That's why I put it in there like that. A lot of my people felt that he had something to do with it." And compare that to the latest one: Rapper Jadakiss blames Bush for Sept. 11 in new song Well, if he must backtrack, at least he's backtracking towards awareness. I just want to know why he was wearing that Ronald Reagan shirt on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Posted by jsmooth995 at July 17, 2004 3:25 AM | TrackBackComments
Are you sure he wasn't talking about a game of "Jenga"? That would be a better backpedal I think. And which Bush? Posted by: The Ghost of Eric Douglass at July 17, 2004 1:38 PM Smart Jada. When you want to get that paper, you have to compromise. I think he's being smart, very smart. He had to grind for so long, he doesn' t want to take the risk of having that "one line" stop his career. If the pple in radio who have the power to, decide that his single ain' t making it on the airwaves, D Block ain' never gotta take off. Posted by: n56 at July 17, 2004 6:19 PM I was wondering what the fuck was up with that Reagan t-shirt too... He said he was "repping his era" or something like that..???? Very surreal. Kinda like Martha Stewart wearing a Malcom X t-shirt. Posted by: Jesse at July 18, 2004 3:07 PM I don't see a big difference between the two explanations. Posted by: Thun at July 19, 2004 10:16 AM Respect to Jada for not being yet another whacked-out hip hop conspiracy theorist. Anyone who thinks Bush planned or executed or approved or intentionally ignored the attack are simply avoiding the hard work and research it takes to try and truly understand the political times we live in. Listening to Immortal Tecnique will never teach you about international diplomacy - read a book pick up the Times, and eventually you'll understand that the world is f'ed up in a manner deeper than your Illuminati worldview even hints at. Posted by: sleepnotwork at July 23, 2004 5:47 PM This is an outrage! I personally am neither a Democrat nor Republican but I possess the educational level to figure out that President Bush did not knock down any towers. What gives this pot-smoking gun-toting high school drop out a stronger voice than the educated minority? The fact that he is a rapper. A famous and rich one too but that is not the issue. Thousands of young adults are listening to his lyrics and taking it for fact without looking at the facts. 9/11 is fresh on the minds of Americans and Jadakiss thinks that he can capitalize on it by adding his perverted twist and marketing it. With lyrics like "Ima sell dope as long as the price is lovely" and "Boy kiss is thorough hit your girl" You can really tell that this guy is a positive role model. A real piece of work to show your friends. Ill try to put this in Jadakiss's terms. When you get arrested and put on trial how do your lawyers prove your innocence? They provide evidence! A video, a DNA Sample, a picture.... Something to prove that you didnt do it. Now Jada. Your are accusing the leader of the free world. The Commander in Chief of the United States of America. The sole executive decision maker of America of MURDERING thousands of innocent people. Where is your evidence for that you fool! Why dont you put your 6th grade education to the test and do some research Instead of blurting out idiocy? If Bush is such a tyrant and despot wouldnt he have you "silenced" for opposing him by now? If he has the power to knock down our beloved towers dont you think that he can silence an idiots like you or Michael Moore? It is the reason why our Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, and Sailors are dying in Iraq and around the world to protect our freedom. And you take it for granted and spit in their faces. It is because of them that you can say what you say without being killed for it. All I can say to you and all the people that believe the filth that comes out of your mouth is that I pity you and I fell sorry for you. You are no better the the terrorists overseas. Grow up and act like an American. Posted by: Kevin Johnson at July 26, 2004 8:18 PM that was good for jada to say especilly when its comin from him ,thought he did`nt give a shit about politics Posted by: arthur at July 28, 2004 9:15 AM Kevin Johnson is a fuckin idiot? PEACE Posted by: A TRUTHTELLER at July 30, 2004 4:25 PM The one thing Kevin Johnson missed out was "I'm not racist though...I've had 3 black people over my house" Posted by: ---Pete--- at July 31, 2004 12:53 PM Truthteller... You have to be the stupidest mufucker I've ever heard. Let me say before this that I am a black democrat in the armed forces. That being said... Micheal moore and Jada are as transparent as a window. Anyone who knows anything about Micheal Moore or Far.911 knows that A. Moore is FAMOUS for mixing fiction with fact. He's been succesfully sued for it twice. B. The movie legally had to be changed from a documentary for production terms. This was because the movie was, admittedly, not all fact. It was imbelished. Micheal Moore and Jada are playing the same cards for the same quick-to-jump dealers. Ppl like yourself are quick to attack the Bush administration because you cant stand the motherfucker. Bush is not exactly my favorite president either. But damn, have some fucking sense. It was Pac that said "I peeped the weakness in the rap game and sold it." That weakness was drama. Controversy. The fact that the more outrageous you are the more attention you get, and the more more attention means more spins, which means more green. Jada and Moore both succesfully played off this country's turmoil to gain some ends. Why does it always work? Because of ducks quick to jump. Our soldiers in Iraq are fighting for something you wouldnt understand. America is the only liberating country ever in history, it's what we do. Spreading freedom is and always will be the best way to protect our freedom. Come on, do you think the majority of terrorist come from country's where the ppl have a say? Do you think thats a coincidence? "We're fighting to make the rich richer". My dick. I stay in Shreveport LA. My ass aint got more than anyone else. But I still know those soldiers are dying for us. And if I get called out, I would be proud as fuck to actually die for something good. Truthteller... you ain't got enough wisdom to know the truth yet. Stick saying shit like "peace" and "holla". STUPID BITCH AND KEEP JADA'S NAME OUT YO MOUTH -MATTA OF FACT DON'T EVEN OPEN YO MOUTH SINCE YOU AGAINST PEOPLE VOICING THEIR OPINONS,WHICH THE ARE INTITLED TO RIGHT? SINCE YOU FIGTHING FOR FREEDUMB!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by: Jer'Lyric PHILLIPS at August 8, 2004 9:18 PM Yo Devin, one does not "spread freedom" by slaughtering people. Lead by example. It's like the Christians were "spreading the word of the Lord" when they went on that killing spree they called The Crusades, which set the example still being followed by pricks today. If we're so free, how come felons can't vote? How come rigged touch screen voting is threatening everything we supposedly stand for? Anywone with half a fuckin ounce of common sense knows who was behind the towers falling. Eleven months prior to Spet 11, Dick Cheney lead a neo con thinktank about "a new age of neo conservatism", and how to impliment all the laws and changes they needed to survive. "for us to acheive what we need to acheive," he said, and I quote, "we'd need another Pear Harbour." Thye got their Pearl harbour, dummy. You think they came up with all that shit in the so called patriot Act in the week it took them to push it though? Ah ha ha ha. Big up Jada for having the balls to say TO THE world what the rest of us can but share with our mates, motherfcukers. These are hte popele legally enslaving most of our kids. Fuck these punks, jesus. @! Posted by: aa at August 11, 2004 1:37 PM This is just crazy reading all of this. You people are fighting with each other. No matter what happened it's not gonna change a damn thing. People died and people are going to continue to die. I myself have mixed feelings about what happened on 9/11, and after some research I too believe that Bush may have had something to do with what happened. That really sucks though, seeing how I voted for him. The evidence that I saw was pretty overwhelming. Our own leaders are out to destroy this country. But the point is no matter what it's gonna happen. Between Bush and Kerry. No matter who wins we lose. Posted by: Beckie at August 16, 2004 11:53 AM Dear Jadakiss, So dear Jadakiss, i want to be your Servant,i want to be one of ur close guy, i wish to stay with you. I want you to bring me over to USA. I want you to help me along the journey to financial independent. If you ever do this favour to me, i will be very glad to u. It is not upto good things u have been doing to many people in the world. You reign all over the world.Reply for the next step. Thanks for ur consideration Posted by: stanley at August 16, 2004 9:33 PM Well I'm glad that pistol toting condoners of drug use are speaking up against the terrorism performed by our president. WAIT something's wrong here . . . Clinton had the chance to capture Bin Laden in 1993 when he bombed the trade center the FIRST time. We could have disbanded the Taliban then, but he didn't, now did he ? So how, may I ask, did Bush in his FIRST MONTH in the white house cause the towers to be knocked down ? I think it may very well go back a little further , to the lazy president preceding, who so happily cut funding to the FBI and CIA. HM next time uneducated overpaid drug addicts open their mouths I sincerely hope they have some facts to back it up. Posted by: Liz at August 17, 2004 12:17 PM I love that quote, they got $ but can't feed the poor. How often do you see these fucking celebrities handing food out to the poor. I also love how alot of these people just reply with caps lock saying fuck blah blah bitch fuck blah blah... really creative, sending out a good message there. Do yourself a favor and spell check too. And go Devin, I salute all the soldiers. When shots are fired toward our country, who stands in front of them, yet they never ask for anything in return. Why don't any of you pussy wannabe thugs who talk about shooting guns and shit try being a soldier for once... Oh that's right, because you have never own a gun, shot a gun, or been shot at. You just rap and talk about it. Go ahead, flame me. Posted by: brown at August 30, 2004 5:48 PM BIG UPS TO JADA, BUT NEXT TIME YOUR IN CONCERT IN THE MIDWEST SHOW SOME LOVE TO THE RUFF RYDERS WHO TRAVEL AS FAR AS YOU TO SUPPORT YOU AND THE OTHER DOUBLE Rs. Posted by: reo at September 1, 2004 2:14 AM The towers falling were indeed a direct result of terrorism and there is no evidence that Bush himself was part of planning or staging the attacks. However, the terrorists' actions, whether we as Americans believe them to be right or wrong, is a reaction to American foreign policy. So, while Bush may not have directly caused the towers to fall, his policies certainly played a direct role in moving terrorists to action and an indirect role in the towers' collapse. "Bush" is also the face of an America to which I do not feel connected. I am a New Yorker, and it saddens me greatly that "Bush" is the face of the U.S., that he is a symbol of what 'we' believe. As you may have seen, the people of NYC tend not to support conservative values ('blue' state) and marched in record numbers against his re-election. Yet, because of our large population and economic base, we will be a target; urban people paying the price both here and overseas for conservative policies that are really a reflection of white, small town values. In other words, "Bush" is the face of the people who support values which shape policies that aggrivate terrorists (again, whether their cause right or wrong). Thus, Bush knocked down those towers.
