She is truly a sad case. I do feel bad about her childhood and everything, but come on you have to play the cards you are dealt. I grew up in a drug infested environment, things weren't always great at home, and I stiil manage to keep my clothes on and my tongue in my mouth. She had and still has self esteem issues. It's just a shame that she continues to dedicate this book to her son when clearly she is out to make a buck just like she always has done. The beginning of the book she goes on to say she hopes one day her son reads this book, I hope the hell not for his sake and sanity he doesn't think to pick this book up! Karrine is not the only one to blame for this behavior, these men are gross. They have no moral or ethical values. Some of these people are married, which leaves me to beleive that Miss Steffans is putting their business out there like that because she is mad because no one wants her because she is used the hell up. They didn't want her then and they don't want her ass now! Karrine and her multiple sex partners are all pretty sad. I do feel bad for her son though, but she doesn't even care about him. Anytime you can leave your baby with a nanny you can't afford for months at a time and tell about it in a book, you are a piss poor MOMMY!

I heard the interview on hot97 and i think it was bad on her part to come out and talk about her so called baby's daddy on the air but it was reallyphucked up when ma barker came out and started mentioning other people that had nothing to do with the conversation. I think she should have just kept it at being a conversation if any between her kool g rap and karrine. The world is a crazy place and it is full of pubilicity. and you also have to look at it from her ponit of veiw if everything in the book she said was true from begining you have to understand the hurt and pain that she has encountered thru life. true enough she dose have some major issuse that she needs to deal with and she should have also watched what she said to people that she thought where her friends but that still gave ma barker no reason to blast everyone like that. she may be a bad guy but if you read the book and everyone's name was camoflauged then she waws trying to a least have the decentsy not to expose anyone upfront. so personally i think the reason everything is all out of wack is because of ma barker and kool g rap.they were just as wrong as her and they came down to her level when they blabbed thier mouths too. Don't get me wrong I would not have done any of the things that she did because i was raped, abused, molested ect. but i just didn't let that get to me but everyone is not the same some people are stronger than other people and she may have been a weak person at the time by not controling her mind and letting the money make her instead of making the money.there are two sides to every story and i am pretty sure everyone is going to deny it but . people need to learn that is life and life goes on and if what you choose to do or be in life is what you really want nothing else matter. I think we need more people to be real with themselves and stop faking the funk.

When I started reading her book, I felt for her. I thought maybe she was a product of her upbringing and didn't know any better. As I continued through the entire thing and to the end; where she would say she wanted to change and needed God, and in the same paragraph talk of another man she phucked, I realized that she was still the same money hungry, self-pittying hoe she was in the beginning of the book. I feel sorry not for her, but for her son. The kid was left behind, tossed around; and, in a way, abused, while she ran around phucking,sucking, and leeching off big name celebrities. She is not trying to protect no one but PAPA!!! she names names and give out intimate secrets, dates and locations. I read the entire book from beginning to end. I really don�t feel she did anything wrong by putting it out there. Deep inside people wonder what really goes on behind the scenes of lavish Hollywood. She was just bold enough to un leash the secrets. Both the men and herself got even exchanges. I�m not saying I agree to what she did. However, everyone has a past. The question is did you learn from it? eventually her son was bound to find out. At least he heard it straight from the horses mouth. There wasn�t a way she could of written it taste full. They are sandals to begin with. But it goes down to the good old saying � If a women sleeps around she�s a whore, but if a man does it�s ok�. She isn�t more guilty than the men.

I enjoyed the book start to finish. I don't disapprove of anything she has done, she made a living the best way she knew how. Who are we to try to judge her for what she has done. The only person she would have to answer to is the man upstair. We all have done things in our own lifes that society have disapproved but still we have managed to move on and do better.

In a funny way as far a pop culture goes her book helps hip hop as a whole. Every music genre has there groupie hoes (look at the RAY charles movie with Jamie Foxx)... Hip Hop is a business and in this country you need publicity (negative or positive) to help market a business.

I dig her encouragement of writing this book. She told it like it is. Also, who without sin cast the first stone. Everybody has a down fall rather you did it already or haven't but nobody is perfect. I read the book, it was what it is. Hate it or love it, the s--t was pure her life story and if you involved your self in what was going on in her world obviously you cared to know. judgeing some one at face value is not real. I loved her book,and I could not put it down. It sparked my interest because it dealt with something we as human beings rarely deal with..REALITY!! I needed to read something real..and she did that!! I think everybody makes mistakes and we as humans are not in any kind of position to judge anybody but ourselves. I read the book and what can you say? Karrine is about money and power and the sad part is her life wasn't worth it? I think the book has some good qualities such as helping these young girls see that that lifestyle doesn't mean anything. You are used, abused, and thrown to the side. Like she said, when she was phucking and sucking them; they would give her money and anything else. When her and her son was on the street and had nowhere to go; they were nowhere to be found. In life, you either play the game or ignore it. Only the strong survive but nobody is strong enough to survive without wounds. At the end of the day, Karrine sits by herself with her son not knowing who she can trust and who she can't. And that is truly sad..............

I just finished reading Karrine book. As a mother, aunt, friend, and teacher; I see many "Karrines" as early as 3rd grade wanting to be a glamorous "video girl" where they equate worth with materialistic riches and a nice body rather than inner wealth. Karrine was abused over and over again, but everyone who wants to judge her fails to acknowledge that. To me, she shut down and survived the best way she could. The apple didn't fall far from the tree. She may have actually been a gifted child. After being taken from the loving and supportive environment that her grandmother provided, her gifts and lifestyle was destructive to herself and later her son. Karrine, you need to make a movie because those young girls who need to hear about your life are more prone not to read. To the many "non-sinners" who are quick to criticize and ostacize, I have a thought for you. If you are not being proactive helping to eliminate the numerous problems that exist in the black community such as AIDs, "accepted" statutory rape (old men and women messing with young, immature minds), disrespect and destruction of our children and elderly, and our numerous children in foster care; sweep around your own front door before sweeping around Karrine's. Stay strong "Ms. Stephens", because God didn't look down on the women with the issue of blood and he is not looking down on you either! He won't put more on you than you can handle; and even when biblically instructed to lay your burdens down, move on, and forget; mankind will continually make you remember and regret. Thanks for giving me a book to share with other young girls and my sons (because boys also need to get an example of how not to treat women when they "arrive"). People attend church to testify all the time and your book is your testimony. It, however, will touch generations for many decades.

I just read the book and immediately went online to see how others feel about her tell all. I personally couldn't put the book down. I'm still not sure if she's sincere or not in her plight to change her life but one thing is for sure...given any opportunity for us to sleep with a celebrity, I think most of us would jump at the chance, money or not.
It's easy to judge her but many of us don't realize that these celebrities have a star quality about them and many are star struck just being their presence. I can't say that I agree with her decisions but I don't fault her either. I just pray for her safety and her future success. I hope that young ladies take the positive message out of this book and not the negative. Treat your body like a temple and love God first.

I listened to the audio version of the book and I thought it was really interesting. I also read the comments from the other people above. The "I would nevers, and the I could nevers," you people need to get off your high horses and stop judging her. We all have done stuff that we are not particularly proud of. She just was smart enough to capitalize off of it. In her book, she doesn't glamorize or downplay what she went through. It's just that "what she went through." And how she still came out better and stronger. As far as critizing her as a mother, she is still human. I can tell she loves her son, in my eyes, she dedicates the book to her son not for people to see her life as dirty, nasty or slutty, but to let people know that through her mistakes and experiences, her son was her motivation to get her life together. No matter if your living right or wrong and you have kids, they are your motivation. You want to get your shit together so you can show them something better. Another point that needs to be made is- Karrine did not force theses married men to fuck her either- what is everyone blaming her. I read the book last night and listened to the interview this morning and the bottom line is that she is just disgusting. I don't think she will be healed of her addiction to sex, drugs, men and money until she speaks to professionals who carry initials behind their names. MD, PHD, etc. Like any other addiction you have to get help to get past it. I can't take her seriously as a writer, because after reading this book, I realize she's NOT a professional. Not trying to hate on the girl but PLEASE. C'mon this was just a way to make money off of the public's insatiable need for gossip. Me included, we all want to know what life is like for the celebs. Unfortunately, she didn't paint a pretty picture. I feel sorry for them all. Quality of life sems scarce.The money is nice but selling your soul for the cause, that's just sad.

Tyler Perry(Madea's family reunion)had a play where one of the characters daughters was on drugs and had a baby and she tried to sleep with her sister's husband and she was sexually abused by her father.(that was the one of the stories in the play)after the play Tyler explained all the different characters stories and he said when you see someone who's troubled like this ....don't give up on them because there's always a story behind their behavior.

Okay so I read the book in one day because I was curious to see what all the fuss was about...and who in the hell was this chick??!! In the beginning I felt sorry for her, being abused by her mother constantly and rape etc etc.... THEN....she goes from being abused by others to self-abuse....and finally saying that she has "learned" and she is in the process of self-recovery. However in the book....the last chapter she says that she still have her lovers and the fling with Usher was just last December!! I don't understand what exactly did she learn and if she is still getting around, how did she change? I don't know...I listened to two different interviews one with Chuck D which she explained how the book was to advise young girls that what they see on tv isn't what it's all cracked up to be. Then on Hot97 she was confronted about Kool G Rap and his wife about the details in the book and it was too much for her to handle so she tried to leave. She can't run from what she put out there. When you put your business out there....this is what you get. If she is denying her daughter...shame on her! And I cannot believe she had the nerve to put her son's picture in the book....what a disgrace!!! I don't feel sorry for her....I can't bring myself to feel sorry for her. She is doing everything for money...exposing herself for money....so instead of being a regular sleep around hoe....now she is a media whore. She's in a relationship with Bill Maher now and now she is in "love" or whatever. I still don't believe she has self love, so until then she will never be able to love ANYONE.

I read the book in 2 days. I do feel sorry for her upbringing. I am not surprised on how the industry handled her, but I am surprised how she would let one man hand her over to another man and accept it. Celebrities wives stay with these men regardless. I don't understand why, because you have to be with them to get the money. What confuses me is how Karrine says there was always a condom, but there were times she woke up naked from previous while night. If she couldn't remember, how could she remember if there was a condom each and every time. I am not to judge anyone, because that is what God is there for. I just pray that she doesn't fall into a slump again and resort to that lifestyle again.

I didn't read the book and I probably won't. I have to admit to being a bit curious. However based on the comments of some of the ignorant men, I think its trash and I won't pick it up.

I am very concerned with the derogatory comments made about Ms. Stephens and the men she has been with in the Idustry. NO ONE has once mentioned the possibility of these people possibly contracting something that penicillin can't cure. I am very dissapointed in the lack of good judgement from all parties involved. Please understand your money will not buy your way out of the grave you are digging for your selves. As a race we need to wake up and understand the seriousness of these DANGEROUS practices. Kudos to Karrine.I thought the book was long over-do. It's about time someone stepped up to the plate and let everyone see what goes on in this world that our children idolize & want to be a part of. I don't understand why people are hatin & said she broke the "code". We need to stop sugar-coating reality & speak the truth. Some of these celebrity wives need to write a book about how they are being abused. Some of us got mad at Bill Cosby too, didn't we?

when i started reading the book, i felt kind of sad about her being raped and abused at such a young age. than after i started to get really into the book, i started to get really disgusted with how she handled every situation. being a person of only sixteen, i have more respect and control for myself than she every had. she states how she cares about her son, but she mades it clear that she didn't give a rat butt about him every time she left him behind for the nanny to basically raise him. I give her credit for leaving her abusive husband in a attempt to save her son, but why go back and let your son stay with his abusive father, after he stated that he was jealous of your son. He may be the boys father, but remember he did abuse you. I personally think that she brought all this on herself. she had a good thing at her dad's house, but she had to just get away, what a idiot. And after receiving all that money from pleasing all those famous people, i would be putting some away for my son, and not thinking about who am going screw next. I really hope those people she talked about in the book has something to say, i bet when they do say something about the book, i bet she'll shut her big mouth. I thought her mother told her not to tell people's business, i guess she hasn't learned her lesson. like someone once told me, "some people just have to learn it the hard way"

I would like to commend her for coming out with this book. It took real courage. I am quite sure that she is not alone in sleeping with all the celebrity men. As a mother myself, I found it astounding that it took her that long to change her behaviors. I really hope that she goes into therapy and deal with all the issues of her childhood and young adulthood. I am really sadddend that so many young women look at these videos and that's who they aspire to become. I am sure that if this girl had her education and could have fen for herself in more respectable manner she would have lived a better life, become a better mother and would not have to chase after these men. i read the book and i enjoyed it. i my opinion if all of these rappers didnt want their shyt to be put on blast then they should not have been acting and carrying on in the way that they did. especially if they r married and have children. i actually feel that she is a strong person bc she was able to write this book even though she knew she would get shyt for it. i am not sayin i think she is a good person for all the things she has done. but then again she is human and we do make mistakes. she did what had to to survive and im sure if many other people were in that same position they would do it too.

I think that Ms. Karrine is definately pulling a publicity stunt. Shes old now and washed away in the minds of most people that she surronds herself with. Butit is not too late for her to take a different route with her life. As I read the book I felt sorry for her and what she encountered in her life, for a moment I even empathized with her life but as I continued to read, I saw that she did not care about herself or her son. The things she did where stupid and very insane. It seems that she continued to hit rock bottom over and over again and then when she was finally back on her feet she went back into her same crazy ways. Karrine needs special psychological help. Sure I feel sorry for her childhood but that should have been her motivation to make something better of herself. If that wasn't enough you would think her son would have been enough to change her ignorant ways.She is not the first or the last child to be raised in a dysfunctional family. Now she has passed to torch of a trouble past on to her son because now he will have a story just like she has. I just finished her book and i think it was good. All the people who are callin her all sorts of hoes and sluts need to stop judgin her and judge tour self first. The only person in the world her has the right to judege someone is GOD!!

Hey, I must say, the book was very good. It was a good read because everyone she screwed was a celeb and we knew them. I couldn't put the book down to see who was next. Damn, nasty itch. The good thing about reading someone's life story is that the ending is what make's it sweet. It's still salty. You can't put the book down and cry and say WOW,she wen't through a lot and now she's changed her ways. I don't see what lesson she's trying to teach young ladies. It seems like she's still has plenty of lessons to learn herself. She never mentioned that she was now drug free, _ick free, etc. She seems to be some snake looking for scandal, well she chose the right way, because it's all gonna catch up with her. The book was okay but there was a lot she wasn't saying which led me to believe if this book is supposed to be "tell all" why were so many things so vague. She would begin explaining one issue and leave it alone to jump to another point. The book was not well written but it had good points. I think that she is still very confused. She says the books was to show young girls you don't have to live like this but in her Epilogue she says that she is still involved in the business and celebrities. I think the sole purpose for this book was attention that she was sekking because she is not the hot item she says she once was.

Through her eyes, her memories, her story....everyone has one that can sound awfully familiar! She said it though-you cannot empower someone-self discovery is just that-self, personal, not to be taught but learned through living, mistakes and all. I hope Karrine has finally learned and obtained true love.

Though not well written due to inconsistent timeframes, the book holds your interest due to the celebrities named. Karrine empowered herself by breaking the rules of engagement, what we do here, what we see here what we say here stays here when we leave here and giving the public what they want, the 'dirt' on someone...She is now in the spotlight, a celebrity of sorts, paid! Smart move!

Her son is entitled to know the family history or herstory! He had to live to it too. I hope writing this book helped to heal her spirit as well as line her pockets for both their sakes.

Hey, video vixens come and go and she was getting a little too old to stay on that scene much longer. In the future, I suggest the male artists rethink how they treat the women they choose to surround themselves with.. though all the men mentioned could stand a dose of publicity-after all-it keeps them in the spotlight a bit longer too!

I read the book in a couple of hours....and I KNOW that most of the things in her book are true..atleast from a legal view. From reading the book we all know that home girl lives, breaths, and longs for MONEY...that Mighthy dollar. And from being the up and coming lawyer that I have soo earnestly work hard toward I can say that if anything in that book isn't the truth she can and undoubtly will get her ass sued off for all that she has earned!!! I'm postive that she and her legal counsel are both aware of that!! All in all she loves money tooo much for it all to get taken away over some bullshit. Fuck the drama and the he said she said...it all comes back to what....MONEY

If these are women commenting, I can't believe any of you. If these are men, I just want to say that you have no idea(for the most part), what it feels like to be sexually abused and then put in the situations she was put in. She was in a very vulnerable state and even when you know that what your going through is somewhat your fault its hard to break a way. After being sexually abused many may feel like they want or should be subjected to abuse and probably do have the drive to remove themselves from certain situations. People are so busy being insensitive that they rather attack her, yet these so called idols that we have put on a pedestal can continue to be demoralizing, grude, and just outright atrocious and disgusting. Not to say she was an angel, but get a grip. Do we need arrows to point out perpetrators, criminals, sexual abusers??? No, we just need open eyes, morals, and some god damned common sense.

I read Ms. Karrine's book and could not put it down! I was very disturbed by her bad childhood
experiences. I also FELT her pain from all of the
different relationships she encountered. My mouth
dropped every time she added the name of a celebrity to her list. All I know is there's two
sides to EVERY story, and if she is lying she
fooled me damn good.

I had to read this book twice. I felt bad for
Karrine, and my heart really hurt for her young son. None of us are spotless. I had two problems
with Karrine when I read her book:
(1) I didn't like the way she dropped her son off
before she left him to get things in order.
(2) I hated to hear about Ray J being one of her many lovers. The other guys sounded like dogs anyway, but Ray J seems special. I bet his mom had a fit! Come on.........not Ray J!!!

I've read the book, and at first, I do admit, I my heart went out to Karrine. Her childhood was void of any love, or nuturing from her mother. The only person who TRULY cared for her was her grandmother, and her mother took her away from the island. For the first few chapters, I could kind of understand why she made the poor choices that she did, but chapter, after chapter, after chapter, she continued to do the same thing....SLEEP WITH ALL OF THESE DAMN MEN!!! Okay, she loved EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM, let her tell it. She can't possibly be that nieve. Karrine is not stupid by far, she is just doing what she has to do to get paid. This book is going to do just that. She HAD to know none of those men cared for her. She basically said so herself that she do it all again, and that is sad. It's just really unfortunate that her son is gonna feel the wrath of this whole situation. What child would want people to refer to his/her mother as "Superhead", "whore", "slut", "tramp",
"bitch"?? That is depressing in itself. I don't think that she REALLY thought through what it was she is actually doing. Damn putting everyone's business out there, what about her damn son????? When she was talking about Jay-Z, she said he told her get in the car they left the video shoot, he put on a condom and pushed her head down. I read the book in a day. I think that there are some believable parts and some not so believable parts. I think that as a woman with a child that you should have a level of respect about the things that will ultimately affect your child. I do not think that being raped as a child dictates who u become. You should take that and turn it into a positive to make you stronger and wiser. I think she has no tack because she put everyone's business out there what she did is something that should have remained between them. But as usual we will do anything to make a buck. She says at the end of her book that she has changed but then turns around and says that she still parties and hangs out with these same people. It makes me think was it all about money because why would you still hang out with the people who help u become addicted to drugs and alcohol. She likes the excitement I think! That is what drives her and will continue to drive her until the end. I feel for her son though because he has a slut for a mother and know the whole world knows it. I wonder what the PTA is saying now!

The reason I purchased this book was because I was interested in knowing about celebrities and their wild escapades with the video chics. But Ms. Steffans book seems a lil too far fetched. Some of it made no sense at all. I agree with a previous reader, why would so many stars pay her to be with them. And why were most of them so interested in being with her. Without make-up she looked like any other female on the streets. And the whole abuse thing seemed a lil made up and added just to make others approve of her lifestyle and not judge her. If she just wanted to sleep around with stars then thats her choice but don't try to get others to agree or accept what she did. And from all this, it still seems she has not changed much in her life-so where was the message she claimed she was sending out to other young girls. This was just a "brag" book probably written for other video girls who she was in competition with just to rub it in their faces.

At some point and time she should have relized this life is not stable for her son. When i read Karrine's book, of course I was amazed at all the things she had encountered, but the only thing that baffled me was near the end when she stated if she had a chance to relive her past she would do it again. Everyone has had their share of phucking up in life but I personally know that if I had the chance to make some of my mistakes over again, I wouldn't. Yes they did make me stronger and more mature but there are some things that time and wisdom should not even allow one to repeat over again. Overall the book was decent, an easy read, and I hope and pray that everyone who has taken the time to read her book learns something from it. One thing we as people fail to realize is just because it worked for one doesn't mean it will work out the same way for another. Karrine was blessed enough to live through her disturbing past, but whose to say the next person will. Use good judgment, but if you phuck up learn from it and move one because people will judge you if you are doing good things or bad things and though it probably didn't seem like it, I think that's what Karrine wants her reader's to know.

I read her book and I found it good but I feel like this. If the people she so called had sex with thought it was not true they would of been saying what she said was untrue and I haven't heard anything like that so far. I'm almost done reading the book. None of her actions are justified, but hopefully there is/was a lesson learned by someone, especially Karrine herself. What she did was pathetic. Well, first of all, the Fear of God is very different than the Fear of man. People always want God, but what are you doing to embrase his presence. The bible states that God's sheep knows his voice. Me personallly, I heard the interview on hot97 and I think ma Barker as well as Kool G Rap are full of it. First off, Ma Barker was on some other bullshit because the topic of the conversation at the time was child support, that had nothing to do with the true identity of Papa or anything else she was talking about, if that's what she came on to say she should have kept her mouth shut. Ma Barker kept saying how much of a lier Karrine is and how she put everybody business out in the streets, well her trying to make mention of Papa made her no different than Karrine. And as far as Kool g and the baby goes, first off I truely believe that Kool G is the father of the baby but nobody will know for sure unless there is a blood test and karrine is willing to do the blood test and he kept puttting it off and jumping to other stuff like what he did and didn't make her do. i read the book and to be honest i'm happy she wrote it. i'm not sure if everything written is 100 percent true, infact only God knows, but i highly doubt if everything was a lie so with that in mind if anything is to be learned we can truly learn more about the people that we are calling our role models. the young girls of today can get a better understanding of the industry and the men, maybe we'd have less video hoes maybe we'd stop wanting to locate and impress with hopes of marriage the ja rules and the puff daddies. i hope that we can learn that beauty and value isn't determined by how many rap stars want to sleep with you. In the book the most intellegent part was when she wrote about how when we were younger we wanted to be ballet dancers and actresses, then we got a little older and became products of our environment which led us to only feeling worthy enough to be in someones video butt naked. so once again i am very happy she wrote the book and i do believe that if not yet she will find her way to healing, because now whether she's believes it or not she is admitting that she is/was wrong and has/had a problem and that is the first step to being healed, so God bless her.

I read the book in one day. I just couldnt put it down I believe it was because I was just so damn nosey like everyone else who got the book. The book was pretty good. She told HER STORY and whether or not all of it is true is only something she and those discussed will know. She is getting hers regardless of the way she has to get and you can not hate her for that. One must always remeber that what you do in the dark will all ways come to light.
The only thing that bothered me about the book was the bullshit she took her son through. Regardless of age a child knows and remebers things. Many think while the child is young they can do whatever, kids are not studpid if you are not there they know and will remeber. I hope that she is a better parent. She has son and he needs to brought up in the right way because of the way our African American men are treated when they get older. I read Karrine Steffans book all in one wop. It was very enteresting. My mouth was wide open the whole time. This was sure enough a tell-ll book. I really felt bad for her son. I think most of you are not understanding "why" she wrote this book. Her point is, to let all the young girl out there know what's behind the life of a "Video Girl". It's not to let everybody know what she did, or who she did it with. It was the "situations" she went through. How the drugs, the abuse, how theses so called "IDOLS" of our children treat women, and what she went through just to make a buck. Who cares if she metioned these men names. I have recently read her book. I also heard the interview on hot97. First let me start by saying that we in no way should judge anyone on what we believe is wrong. Everyone has different morals and standards. It just so happens that karrine's morals and standards were very low. She saw a way to make money and tried to be in the lime light but she went about it all the wrong way. She was young when she had her son. And we all know how some young mothers do. I read the book and I loved it!!! I don't think that she was wrong for what she did at all. She did what she had to do but I don't think that she did it for her son like she claims she did. I have recently read her book. When I was finished with it i was really confused. I know she said that she wrote the book to warn our young ladies about the business. But as I read the book I not only read it through my eyes as a young woman but also that of a mother of a little girl and also tried to picture a young woman reading it. In all honesty if i was a teenage girl reading this It would not only confuse the hell out of me, but make me want to try it myself minus her dumb ass mistakes. after reading this book I looked her up and a lot of past interviews that she has done. I come to find her in her words a "power freak". I believe that all her past experinces with these men that she delt with she came up with the short end of the stick and the moments that she had with them was theirs leaving here with a broken heart and seven times in the book "crying uncontrolably". She felt like she had to make all those moments hers again and have the power, aka THE LAST LAUGH! By that she fed off of Americas Insatiable need for gossip in "pop culture" and made every one who bought this book her "hoes" I know ots hard to swallow even I was sucked in. The book is a good read. Also I listened to the interview with Karrine and Chuck D. I thought that she was well spoken and versed. The interview flowed properly and intellectually. Due to the fact that she wasnt in a hostile environment, where someone would have attacked her character. I commend her for her efforts. I only wish her contiuned blessings and success.

I haven't bought the book, but all I can go by to comment on are exerpts I've read and Miss Stephan's interviews. I remember specifically how she spoke of Jay Z in one exerpt and how he took her for a ride, had her suck him off and then he brought her back to the set. She tried to make it sound like they mutually decided not to have a relationship. I would wager that most men wouldn't want you for their woman if they could get you to suck them off the first time you met them with only a few words and a ride in their car.

I feel like I just can't support it..it's not meant to be a cautionary tale IMO because she still seems proud of it. She still seems in denial..she thinks that the first time she was dissed was when she was "down and out" and that the men that sexed her for years were not disrespecting her. Then I feel kind of like maybe she is putting her somn out there more that he had to be. Really, people may have known what she did in the industry..but it wasn't out there for the rest of us until she put it there. I personally never knew anything about her.

I saw her interview on Tyra Banks, actually, I watched it twice. It's amazing how she got so upset when she would make statements about things that went on and Tyra would disagree with her, and quote from her book the things that SHE said. However, her memory was getting kind of cloudy when she would say things that were different from what she put in the book! Now she's running around calling Tyra Banks ignorant, and a hypocrite because she got her card pulled on national tv! She supposedly has a "list" of people Tyra slept with, and says that if she doesn't watch out, she'll put it out there. Why is anyone that doesn't agree with her ignorant? Just because your dating Bill Maher, and "used to talking to Brit Hume and people like that does not change the reality of what you did. You are what you are, and being abused doesn't give you more right to do stupid stuff than any one else. And as for being ignorant, Ms Tyra got accepted to FIVE colleges BEFORE she was a Supermodel! I just finished reading the book. I actually read it in half a day, as I couldn�t put it down. I must be honest that one of the reasons that triggered my curiosity of wanting to know who she was about to reveal. Nonetheless, I believe that this a very inspiring book and not only for the so called �video whores� or aspiring ones, but for every single individual out there. I speak for my self here. I learned that even with the mistakes I have committed in life, it is never too late to get up and start afresh. Her message here is to NEVER GIVE UP! No matter how many times we might fall or stumble. Some claim that she never learned anything as she states that she would do it all over again. However, that is not exactly what she says. I quote �Would I do it again? Yes. If someone told me that I would have to relive my entire life in order to be fulfilled as I am now, then I would.� All Ms. Steffans is saying is that she feels blessed that her experiences have made her stronger as a person and had she not experienced what she encountered, she certainly wouldn�t be the strong person she is today. As a young black intelligent woman, I have been through a couple of things in my life and some how I wish I could rewind the clock. However, when I actually reflect, I wouldn�t be the person I am today and I wouldn�t have inspired the few that have felt touched by my life story. So let�s quit the judging and those whose lives have been exposed, well, this certainly should be a learning experience, as you have witnessed that the truth will always come out. No one is perfect and we are all always striving to be better. And as Ms. Steffans tells it all, I believe that she is still in a healing and growing process this never stops until we reach our telos.

I JUST WANTED TO SAY I BELIEVE EVERYTHING SHE SAID ABOUT THE CELEBRITIES. im from brooklyn, and last saturday i went to a birthday party on top of a stripclub. the guys at the party were drug dealers. they are well known and have lots of money. there was a lot of hennesy and grey goose being passed around. they were also handing out ectasy pills like they were candy. me and my friends bought pills for $10 each. then later one of the guys came over and handed my homegirl a couple of "E- pills" on the house. while i was high on "E" i just sat backed and was observing the party.everyone at the party was high n "E". mostly all of the girls were stressing the drug dealers. some of the men were ugly. but that didnt matter as long as they had money and were popular, thats all that mattered to the ladys. you could see that all the girls wanted to leave with the guys with the money.the guys at the party were acting like they were the bomb and they knew that they could have any body at the party that they wanted just because they have alot of money.each of the drug dealers left with about 2 or 3 girls each. who knows what happened after they left to the guys house. i can only imagine. but if this happens with regular drug dealer guys, you know that these celebrities with all there money think they can do whatever they want.

Who are we to judge this woman? True she made a couple of bad decisions, but ya'll are acting like we haven't done some crazy things when you were young. She craved attention and it just so happens it was with the hip hop industry. In fact, the mountain top is not always what it seems. So I went back to school got another degree (MA) and I am doing what stars could only imagine. I change lives....not because of a video or $10,000 but I make stars each and everyday....and I make money doing it. I HAVE ALSO HEARD WHAT DIFFERENT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY. THE FUNNY THING IS HOW PEOPLE JUDGE HER FOR DOING THE SAME THINGS THESE RAPPERS DO ALL THE TIME. SHE SLEEP WITH THESE GUYS AND MADE MONEY BY TALKING ABOUT IT. RAPPERS DO IT ALL THE TIME AND PEOPLE BUY THIER CD'S AND DANCE IN THE CLUB TO IT. LIKE HOW IS SOMEONE GIVING YOU 10,000 DOLLARS ON A REGULAR BASIS AND U STILL MANAGE TO LIVE IN YOUR CAR.SHE ALSO TALKS ABOUT HOW HER MAMA TREATED HER BUT SHE LEFT HER SON OUT THERE,HOW U GONE PULL UP ON YOUR BABY DADDY AND JUST LEAVE YOUR SON OUT THERE LIKE DAT, AND SKIP TOWN, AND SHE SAY SHE WAS A GOOD MOM!ALSO EVERY MAN IN THE BOOK THAT SHE SLEPT WIT JUST SO HAPPENED APPROACHED HER(GIRL U AINT DAT DAMN BAD)!!!ALSO ABOUT THE VIDEOS ESPECIALLY MYSTIKAL VIDEO HOW SHE SAY SHE WAS THE STAR IN THAT VIDEO AND ALL THE GIRLS AND CAMERA CREW WAS LOOKING AT HER AND THE GIRLS WERE MAD, WELL I PULLED THE VIDEO UP ON THE INTERNET AND SHE WAS NOT THE MAIN ATTRACTION IN THE VIDEO. ACTUALLY I MAYBE SAW HER 3 TIMES OR SO, SHE WAS LINED UP ON THE WALL WIT EVERYONE ELSE!!ALSO, THE JAYZ VIDEO SHE TALKED ABOUT WIT NO TOP ON BY THE POOL AND SHE SAID THAT ALL EYES WERE ON HER, DATS A LIE BECAUSE I PULLED DAT VIDEO UP TOO AND THE CAMERA SHOT PAST HER, IF I WASNT LOOKING FOR HER I WOULD HAVE MISSED HER. THEY SHOWED HER ONCE AND IT LASTED MAYBE 1SECOND!!!!SHE STAES HOW SHE WANTED TO GET HER LIFE TOGETHER AND IN THE SAME BREATH ABOUT HOW SHE SLEPT WIT SOMEONE ELSE. SUPERHEAD DID THIS ALL FOR FAME AND NOW SHE LOOK STUPID.
