August 8, 2005Pro-Lifers Loving Nick CannonAfter reading this I came by another pro-life site, analyzing "Abortion and Rap Music." Who knew they were such fans? I wonder if they'll start picketing the Temple of Hip-Hop after stumbling upon KRS One's 'Build and Destroy' ("I give birth to emcees, and I also give abortions..") Abortion theme boosts rap video Also peep the Mark Anthony Neal cameo a little further down in there. Posted by jsmooth995 at August 8, 2005 1:52 AMComments
Jay... whats up with the spammers.. I think you may want to go back to the Turnkey login.. this is getting downright outta hand Posted by: Belve at August 8, 2005 10:25 AM I just want to say that I think the video is fine and beautiful even though Im pro-choice. The only problem is that it lacks the perspective of struggle. For example, a woman and her power to choose being destined by men is a struggle. The Common and Lauren Hill video also was for keeping the baby, but it dealt with deeper issues that most men in a man's world just dont get. Like the power of the father, and the power of love between lovers. Common and Lauren Hill argued for a power. In a world where people are generally powerless, certain people have to step back and use the power of trust by trusting people with the power to choose, drink clean water, and eat good food grown through love instead of being grown through money. In the mean time others who have power, be it economics, or love, or knowledge or through brute force, can focus on passing down these skills and privilages to the powerless, thus the answer ariving at its own pace. Instead of focusing so much on control over other people's quality of life experience. If you build a nest, the crane will come. In short, Common and Lauren argued for the baby, but also took into account the unity and other prerequisites for expanding humanity. Nick Cannon did not. But good try.
