Audio: A Conversation with Boots Riley
This weekend we got a bonus Daylight Savings hour and took full advantage with 2 supersize sets from Monkone and 3D. We also had the honor of welcoming Boots Riley of The Coup, who sat down for one of the best interviews we've had in a minute.
Boots was joined by Miles Solay from Outernational, who joined Boots in rocking Southpaw last night (pictures coming soon), and is helping promote tomorrow's World Can't Wait protests.

Listening to Boots talk is captivating, but the best thing about Boots Riley is his music. One can feel and hear how his conviction is channeled. His lyrics are clean and tight, his voice is articulate, and the thrust of the music, the elegance in his skill and that of his band, is incredibly seductive.
