AUDIO: A Conversation With the Skullsnaps
Two weeks ago on the Underground Railroad DJ Monkone Monkone and I had the mindblowing honor of speaking to the Skullsnaps themselves, live in the studio. You can stream the entire two hour show right here:
The Underground Railroad - 9/24/05
Monkone also prefaced the interview with a mix of damn near every record that ever sampled "It's a New Day."

great radio show, but Monkwon was pretty wack to plug DooleyO in the Waxpoetics interview where he actually sais he could have cared less who the skullsnaps were when you have them coming in for an interview.

Hey Jeff
I was hardly 'plugging' Dooley O (If anything I was pluggin WaxPo!), but rather trying to give the listeners a lesser-known angle on the whole Skullsnaps Sampled thing. Since Dooley was the first hip hop cat to pick up on the drumbreak I thought it was relevant info. It's sorta like the fact that playing tunes that illegally used "It's a New Day" was not bigging up the felonious producers or dissing the 'snaps, it was giving context, ya dig?
Thanks for listening... still mad I couldn't find that Brother To Brother version in time for the show tho...
