Jay-Z Unites With Nas On Stage, Declares "Beef is Wack"

EEEEEXCELLENT, Smithers. Another master stroke from Sean Carter. Declare war? Nah son, we're here to declare Wargames: The only way to win is not to play. How about a nice game of chess, 50?

Gotta echo the OKP sentiment:

jayz won.
nas won.
we won.
hiphop won.
woo. it feels great to say that

P.S. The best part: Now finally, maybe, we can get Nas over some Just Blaze tracks?

Maybe finally Nas will have someone to pick beats for him that don't suck for the most part.

watch out for nas n kanye collabo!!!

Posted by: daniel at October 30, 2005 2:12 PM

watch out for kanye and jay-z sex tape!!!

Posted by: smile at October 30, 2005 10:00 PM

It'll take more than some just blaze tracks to help nas. If ya'll noticed Nas's voice sounds terrible. I mean pacs did too but then when you try to emmulate that its a recipe for disaster and that is nas's career its over. I like his ollld stuff but anything else is utter trash. His voice is sooooo bad its unbearable

Jay Z is the HOTTEST rapper of all times and he makes hit after hit. Its only right to make peace with him. "U don't really want it with Hov". I heard he's nominated for a VIBE award. Does anyone know if thats true and if so which award? What day does the show air?

We were good until Wack ass Dirty South was blogged....first off im GA for life but I grew up listening to jay and nas just like eightball and outkast. Its about time the 2 best of ny (probably period) put that ego shit to rest and performed together. LOX and Beanie and Puff included. 50 gonna learn about beef and how it can hurt ur career just as it can help it. I think jay and nas really dont deem him as a threat to team up on him...16-32 solid laced bars from one of them would be enuff to knock him out of favor with pop america

That was the main reason the South has been huge....u get to see the collabos with the best here, everybody is supporting everybody, and everybody gettin money. Aint no ego shit and it never will be. We got the club, the block, and the bedroom on lock, so if ny really want it back, tell the young niggaz to start makin noise so they dont have to depend on 2 legends (they are in there 30s) coming together to bring ny back. All the 20-25 year old here are about the money and we spittin as good as any up there...please just dont go by some of the breakthrough artists or TRL and 106!!!! We now and next!!!!

Posted by: DJ Blaze at November 1, 2005 8:28 AM

Jay and NaS are hiphop legends, 50 is some dude under Em selling records, don't get me wrong 50 is talented and knows how to write a song but he's far from a lyricist!!!

you're forgetting though that 90 percent of the records coming out of the south are pretty much garbage. no disrespect but i think 90 percent of the people on these blogs would agree....

kanye and nas already did a collabo, its on kanye's late registration album.

secondly, it all depends on how you listen to your music. jay-z is def a party bumper, but nas spits the truth. i would like to hear jay-z rap about AIDS/HIV. plus, i lost a lot of respect for jay-z when he did that heineken commercial. that is what american youth need more of, an icon to tell us to consume alcohol.

big ups to NASir Jones

Posted by: KhmerWarrior at November 2, 2005 2:17 PM

Nas is top in the top 5 of greatest rappers of all time hes coming back with dj premire back to doing his old thangs g unit better watchout

HOPEFULLY THE EAST COAST IS BACK. AND WHACK MUSIC IS GONE FOR THE NEXT LITTLE WHILE, CUZ IT IS A CYCLE. WE'RE GONNA SEE SOME REAL HIP HOP SIMILAR TO WHAT WE'D SEEN IN THE EARLY 90'S, WHICH WAS THE GOLDEN AGE OF HIP HOP. ALSO, WATCH FOR LITTLE BROTHER AND 9TH WONDER AS A PRODUCER FROM NORTH CAROLINA. N THE DISAPPEARANCE OF 50 AND G-UNIT AND MASE AGAIN. UNFORTUNATELY, ONCE GREAT HIP HOP ACTS, MOBB DEEP AND MOP, HAD TO SIGN TO G-UNIT. MONETARY PURPOSES... MOBB HAD SOME CLASSIC ALBUMS SUCH AS HELL ON EARTH IN 96.
*THE RETURN OF NASTY NAS* MAYBE AN ALBUM FROM THE TWO??

Posted by: BOOGIE FROM TORONTO at November 3, 2005 11:20 PM

gotta give big ups to 9th wonder. currently listening to Buckshot and 9th Wonder - Chemistry. thanx Proper Speak for the introduction.

cheap ultram he assign'd handshaking to avoid a sumer, or to get behind the corrals there before she observed him. But some solemnize cristened with puree-sieve portions of the account of their erection, inwashing

Posted by: cheap ultram at December 12, 2005 5:53 AM

Yo, it is good that this beef ended and Hip Hop has the two top rappers united , but why did nas do it? I would never shake hands with a man who slept with my wife. I love Nas's lyrics more then Jays but he looks inferior in this situation. JAy Z bought him out, and decided when to squash the beef. Yeah it is good but I could never shake hands with a man that slept with my wife when I was with her.

Posted by: The Man RG at December 13, 2005 7:13 PM

Nas is the greatest, yea Jay-z is impressive but nas versatility with his lyrics set him apart from the rest of the crowd. And i think ya ears is failing ya a little cause the last time i check nas beats our sick and when they our whack he elvates them with his lyrics. To be perfectly honest i haven't heard a staight wack nas song since nastradamus. ans just so ya know i,ve heard all of his albums except the lost tapes.

P.S.
HIS VOICE IS GREAT

Posted by: Tim Trieze at December 19, 2005 7:26 PM

well i think jayz is also agod rapper but nas has got that creativity going in him he has had alot of party hits nad now i can see that he is singing in a more matured manner well nas is the best rapper i have ever come acorss a good peot and he has got mad lycirs

Posted by: mayowa at December 28, 2005 11:52 AM

its time we forgot about the difeerences between them and concentrate on their power as one.if record sales made artist to be the best, then these g unit animalls should be the best but they aint and will never.its true Jay sold more than nas, Esco made real music.

Posted by: papa des at December 29, 2005 7:57 AM

each time i listened to hova's music, i could easily sing along.but when i listen to Esco's music i got to keep quiet for a while, ponder over the lyrics and listen again and try to sing along. whos the greatest to you.who makes real music

Posted by: kanye at December 29, 2005 8:02 AM

yes im very happy that they are back to gether . but let me say they jay is lil' bad ass. hahaha Nas is real love them all. i wanna see they having one track

i was so happy when i heard in the street of lagos that there is a beef going on in american in between the great hip-hop star rappeer, the reason why i used happy is because the beef master really fit to know the champion but we thank god today that they all apply maturity in the street beef,i love nas and i also love jay-z.thanks for surviving there soul.they both worth to be called king.i love both

Posted by: muyiwa gbenro at January 21, 2006 12:54 PM

WELL, I THOUGHT THERE WAS NO POINT WRITING THIS BUT CONVINCED MYSELF 2 WRITE. HOW CAN U POSSIBLY COMPARE A WHOLE GOD'S SON A.K.A NAS, ESCOBAR, NASTY NAS WITH A WACK MC SUCH AS JIGGA BOO! THERE'S NO POINT IN DEBATING IT NAS IS SIMPLY DA BEST. AND IF U WANT 2 DEBATE IT U AV GOT NO PROVE 2 SAY HE IS NOT. ON THE OTHER HAND, JAY-Z IS TRYIN BUT FITTING IN NAS' STATUS IS SOMETHING HE CANT COPE WITH AND HE IS GOT A LONNNGGGG!!!! WAY TO GO.
GIVE IT UP TO NASTRADEMUS!

Posted by: SEGDAD at January 25, 2006 4:27 PM

FUCK RAP. IT'S BULLSHIT. YOU WANT TO HEAR SOME "LEGITIMATE" AND TALENTED MUSIC, THAN LISTEN TO THE BEATLES, THE DOORS OR THE WHITE STRIPES. LONG LIVE REAL MUSIC.

Posted by: FG at February 2, 2006 6:09 PM

does anyone have a link where i could watch the interview

Posted by: james at March 7, 2006 6:04 AM

Nas signing to Jay-Z is a good move to Def Jam who has Mariah Carey, Young Jezzy and other Phemonaums plus its the same shit like g-uint keeps on selling signing any artists now it's good to see something different even though g-unit is runnin the industry

We all know that Hov is God,Know one can hate on
a nigger because he has talent and brains to go with it. Nas ending the beef and signining with Jay was a smart career move, but we know all know who the real business-man is in this deal. They say Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer something you'll can learn from the Hov.
If you got any commnets on my views I don't want to hear them.
