October 27, 2005Jay-Z's "I Declare War" Concert Tonight
i don't know why your advisors ain't forewarn you.. So what's the consensus for tonight? Is Jay bringing out Nas to double team G-Unit? Or is he hurriedly revising his rhymes to work in a reference to "blue lamborghinis" or "shots in the arm"? Or will he finally be taking care of Sage Francis once and for all? Personally I'm finding it hard to care about a beef that seems more like a bun with no meat in it. A prepackaged feud that comes with fine print reading "enemy sold separately", and a slot that can fit whichever interchangeable action figure you choose. Reminds me too much of our foreign policy for the last 4 years.. like they're gonna have the crowd on some "wave your hands if you've always been at war with Eurasia!" Speaking of which, all I'm really hyped about right now is seeing who gets put on the Summer Jam Screen at tomorrow's "I Declare Indictments" extravaganza. EDIT: Turns out Jay thought the beef thing was corny too. Amen, brother. Posted by jsmooth995 at October 27, 2005 5:20 PMComments
"wave your hands if you've always been at war with Eurasia!" man, you are on fire this week! Colin Powell factor; now this... Of course, I'm stealing this. Posted by: janine at October 28, 2005 11:26 AM The concert was wack. We were back stage all night and none of that declaring war stuff even happened it was all hype as usual...... www.ivnet.tv If you want a show on our broadcast network let us know. Posted by: Ivnet.tv at October 30, 2005 9:05 PM Man, Jay and Nas are two Kats over thirty years in age. Them beefin' is korny. Jay z the man and all but I mean where has his music gone. He used to talk about husltin and all of that was hot then his music got korny the beats was korny the subject matter was koney. He got lazy then his flow changed then he started rappin like he was losin his breath and to me that was just wack. The black album was okay but nothin compared to the days when he kept makin all them singles (before defjam) and the first few joints he had on def jam. He made some decent joints for radio but he definitely changed. Nas lol forget about it. Jay z said it best. He had a spark when he started but now he just garbage. That goes to Nas and Jay. 50cent too, all them old heads still rappin is korny they'll make better business men. Posted by: one eyed willie at October 30, 2005 11:51 PM MAN I THINK THE CONCERT WAS THE BEST SHIT TO EVER HAPPEN WHO'D AH THOUGHT IN AH MILLION YEARS JAY AN NAS ON THE SAME STAGE RAPPING EACH OTHERS SONGS TOGETHER JAY-Z GONE ALWAYS HOLD IT DOWN FOR THE GREATEST RAPPER PERIOD WHY BECAUSE EVEYTHING HE DROPPED WENT ATLEAST 2 TIMES PLATINUM AINT NOBODY TOPPED THAT NOT FA 8 YEARS STRAIGHT, AN NAS WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST LYRICIST NO QUESTION ILLMATIC STILL RATES AS ONE OF THE GREATEST RAP LPS OF ALL TIME. IT WAS AH NIGHT TO REMEMBER A GOD AND AH KING ON STAGE AT THE SAME TIME NO BEEF NO HATING JUST CLASSIC SONGS AN OTHER BLAZIN HOT NEW ARTIST HA CAN YOU HATE THAT, I GIVE HOVA AN NAS MAD PROPS FA THE SHOW I JUST THINK NIGGAS NEED TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT NO ONE WILL OUT DO JAY OR NAS FOR A LONG TIME AN HA CAN I PUT IT BESIDE (YOU CAN HATE ME NOW) BUT DAMN (CAN I LIVE) Posted by: hiphopgenius at October 31, 2005 2:00 PM best thing to happen in hip hop history! 2 God MCs existing at the same space at the same time..tell me if that's not in conformity with the Natural laws!! hiphopgenius said it all..true elements!! Posted by: Black Jesus at November 1, 2005 12:00 AM I wanna see the concert, i am a huge fan of nas, does anybody know a way for me to see the concert anyhow? please mail me Posted by: ingmar at November 4, 2005 4:14 PM The new concert will be whack also. Listen guysyou all do not know me but I am on the inside of this industry that you all are talking about and I know exactly what is happening. Here is some scoop if you didn't already know. 50 is signing jadakiss and styles p along with d block sheek and them he is gonna sign them probably next week. Jay z is slowly losing his credit just because anyone who knows the streets knows that when you come up together the last thing you do is make a decision to leave what you started behind. So basically Dame Dash is the one who remained a friend of the streets and not Jay. Nobody can deny jay his talent but he is acting a little to CEO for his own good. That whole shit with puffy and jada well jada is a nigger from the ghetto and will ALWAYS remain with that mind state. Puffy is 100% right when he says that jada and styles dont even know their own contracts, THIS IS TRUE Listen I have smoked blunts with jada and styles and sheek and I know ALL of them well. They are happy with one off's and making some loot cash in hand up front. They know NOTHING about creating monthly residual and investing your money in real estate and clothing companies, buying soccer teams, signing artists from around the world lol ha ha ha this is what I am saying all these niggas know is they get 10 , 20 g's to show up at a spot and thats it!!!!. Real business is what 50 , jay z and puffy were taught by Russel Simmons anyway this is DJ Culture over and out oh and yo don't forget to checkout my live video remix show on ivnet.tv I hope niggas on this site don't get all bent because I plug my shit! C,MON I AM GIVING YOU CATS INSIDE SCOOP! WERE ALL MENTALLY WEALTHY BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by: Ivnet.tv at November 20, 2005 8:03 AM ohhh loookaameeee Posted by: calvin mui at December 19, 2005 4:26 AM look yaw everybody know hov, run the streets and nas a legend in his own time. Jay Z has dropped sum classic lps like THE BLACK ALBUM, THE BLUPRINT and REASONABLE DOUBT but overall Nas is the better lyricist!!! ILLMATIC is the greatest rap album of all time and STILLMATIC was almost flawless, plus his I AM and his recent classic Street's Diciple. AS far as i am concerned NAS, KANYE WEST,Game and Eminem are the best rappers ALIVE!!!
