I thought the best part was when Oprah gets beamed into Dave's house with the 'special' message. I kept waiting for a Godfather horse head to turn up. lol.

I guess anything is possible. The timeline is definitely solid. I hope that Dave continues to give them the business because he is definitely a comedic genius!!

I know some of the story sounds incredible but it's not impossible.
I had heard that Rosie was upset wit Chappelle about the joke and I have known her for years since the 80s. I do know for a fact she would complain about something like that for weeks and if she ran into Oprah she would bring it up.
Also Cosby has a bunch of interesiting things in his background and I would not put any of this past him either.
Forget about Sharpton. Take a look at the Village Voicr articles on his corrupt ass.

I am really glad that you can criticise this story as easily as you can, hell I don’t know if it is true or not, but there are a few things that I do know. Being an academic that I am, and being someone who picks up a book once in a while I have learned a few things: There are a lot of controversies surrounding the deaths of both prominent African American figures Malcolm X and the Notorious BIG. Without getting into too many details Malcolm X was assassinated by a black man wearing a formal dress suit while he was giving a speech to a black group of supporters. Prior to the shooting Malcolm X he was threatened by men who had were believed to be connected to the Nation of Islam i.e. Louis Farrakhan and Elijah Muhammad. Notorious BIG was assassinated by a man wearing a bow-tie and a formal suit as identified by key eye witness Lil' Cease of the Junoir MAFIA rap group that Biggie established. To further your education on these topics without reading find Malcolm X done by Spike Lee and the CBC documentary on Notorious BIG or the VH1 special or figure out why his mother is suing the LAPD.

The whole story may be funny because people can’t understand multi-millionaires such as Bill Cosby and Oprah Winfrey investing time and money into shutting down the Dave Chapelle show, but its not beneficial to think of these famous people its important to think of the people mentioned behind the scenes. There were a couple refrences to a group more powerful then what can be imagined. Think about what a billion dollars can do today, is it not fair to assume that Oprah Winfrey and BET owner Robert L. Johnson have an influence we as minority labourers (mostly you) can’t comprehend?

Hey, Jay Smooth et al., I've read this discalimer and I posit that it serves as proof-positive that the dark crusaders are behind the lose of the chapelle show. Why would something as hollow and weak of an attempt as that disclaimer is be put on the wesite in question if the theory of the author WASN'T true. You guys have been victims of a very good story. i will tell you why. the story is a fake due to the supposed "dark crusaders".

The thing is. some of the people do not have a relationship with each other. thats a fact. Did anyone see the Inside the Actors Studio with Dave? He spoke about Martin Lawrance and his "Alleged" mental break down... He spoke about him being labled crazy when that happened he said (this is from memory) no one knows what its like in hollywood, why would any grown man be running in heat with wool on? Does anyone else remember when he said that? It kinda does fit, martin had a sterotypical show on TV and was doing pretty well, then all this happened and the "crazy" word was thrown around... guess what? His career plumitted. correct?

There's a reason its called a theory! You can believe it or you can't! Sure, there's a chance that you're 100% right! Theres also a chance that some kid had a nightmare containing that whole story and decided to write it as a theory. That's where this fake identity comes in.

Also, if dave and some of his friends and family can attest to some of the happenings in the theory, then why doesnt he come forward with the pictures? What about the broken windows? When the media grabs a hold of things before they spiral out of control (very rare) its very hard for corruption to take place.

the SHELL of this story is very plausible and may even be the complete truth. However, there are too many specific events, quotes, etc that it would be impossible for this person to know. It was a very interesting read, but several of these events are just too far-fetched.
