Gerald Levert, RIP

One of the last true old-school R&B singers.. always thought he was the one we'd have around to show our grandkids how it used to be done. All our love to Eddie, and all other fam and loved ones..

(pardon the bad sound, but worth turning up for one of his best performances)

This man represent more than just music. When I "Think Bout It" he was a "Cassanova" and "Funny".Death can be a beautiful and terrible thing. I say to the family just "Hold On" Gerald has "Made my day" plenty of times and a lot of other women too. This man, superb in love and logic, this man shall be remembered. Oh, not with statues' rhetoric,
not with legends and poems and lyrics alone,
but with the lives grown out of his life, all those baby making songs(smile) It make "No Sense " I still feel that Geral is here with me becasue there were so many memories around me that remind me of him. He was just a "Mr. Too Damn Good"

Mr. & Mrs Levert & Family....

This is all too surreal. My heart goes out to you all. You and your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers. While one can never be ready to accept the loss of a loved one, we must remember that those who are truly blessed make the journey first. As such, it is our place to help him to live on in all of us. I am so glad I was able to meet him. It was my pleasure...

He will be forever remembered and eternally loved,

Family,
I haven't been where you are at this time, But I can only know how you feel. It seems as though I lost a love one. I use to say that the only two people music wise was Jesus and Gerald. God now has him and lets hope he's still singing with the heavenly choir. Blessing to parents, siblings, children, and fans. Your son will be missed.

Corrections from my last entry I meant to to say that the only music I played in my car was gospel and Gerald. Again my heart goes out to the family and remember God is a comforter in time of need.

Gerald Levert is truly miss. I wish that he got to do a Christmas Album with his Father and Brother Sean. I list to his music everyday. To Mr. and Mrs. Levert, from his music I listen to
you all raise a wonderful son. He's up their in

As a mother, my heart goes out to the parents of Gerald, and the entire family. I am a grandmother and I loved his music, and I saw him and his father Eddie in concert together. The O'Jays and Eddie Levert, family reunion is my all time favorite. To Eddie, keep singing Stairway to Heaven and Family Reunion, and one day you will be united with your son again. To you and his mother, everyone could tell that he was raised from a Christian family. The love that you showed your son, you are going to be truly blessed. Your job has been done, now Gerald is sitting at God's feet getting his reward. May you know that everyday I play the song Wind beneath my wings, and I am in constant prayer for your whole family. God Bless you, and Thank you for Gerald. The Middlebrooks Family
