Ti, Diddy, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Kanye West On Stage Together Last Night

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

At last night's Screamfest. A great moment in hip-hop? If you haven't seen it go here and here. Contrary to Ian's assertion, I can't say that missing this makes me want to Sean Kingston myself, but it's damn sure refreshing to see.

I love the smile on 50's face. As much as he always talks like it's all about the money, and as much as I might loathe half the stuff he puts out, you can't tell me 50 Cent doesn't love hip-hop. I wish he felt more comfortable with expressing that and showing it in his work.

Smooth,
No offense. I sincerly mean that. But yo, these dudes don't like Hip Hop.

They like money.

All of them dudes is pop guys.

And they sold and continue to sell us into slavery.

Now, you got me hype.

I'm goin' to get the Keef Murray/Beef Curry album. A Rap Murr Phobia.

I hope it's on vinyl.

ah, nose bleeds. they sure do look happy. i guess it doesn't matter why. they also look like they spend a LOT of time in front of the mirror being impressed and trying to make up for some personality issues. good luck to 'em.

live show wak is always better than the same on video.

I gotta disagree BP.. I mean obviously 50 puts his love for money first and foremost, and obviously his art suffers for it, and obviously that mindset is one of the main things that's f**king up hip-hop in general..

But when I hear him throwing Rakim tributes in his rhymes knowing full well his core audience won't get it, when I see how much he looked like a giddy schoolkid sitting next to KRS-One on 106th and Park, there's no way you can convince me that 50, or at least a part of 50, doesn't love hip-hop.

Guys,

I was there and I'm telling you that the good vibes and positivity coming off the stage from all these guys being on there together was genuine and amazing to see/feel. Even if it was for just one moment on one night, you could see how much bigger and better hip hop would be if these guys dropped the fake/petty beefs and came togther like this creatively & professionally more often.

I.

Presumably, the reason people care about these guys in the first place is the music they made/make. I say let them be judged by their music, not what they look like or how they behave.

i agree with eric.
but hip hop is better with out the random hate and beef.........

To The Gang Of Fellas On The Stage...I didn't attend the concert, but I hear that everyone one was suitably impressed. Which does not impress me, but I'm sure you "had it goin' on," relative to your perspective. The question a mature man asks is, where is it going. Truly it looked a mess to me, but however, if that's how you guys make money, "more power to you." I realize, that your wild antics cannot be curbed, but perhaps a modicum of restraint is in order. You should consider that there are impressionable "young" minds which can, and do, consider you to be examples of socially appropriate behavior. None of us responsible role models wants anyone to get into trouble consequent to our example. Gentlemen, "A Word To The Wise Is Sufficient," so hopefully you will moderate your activities according to a new and decent rule of order...Your Brother.....CHARLES THOMAS MITCHELL
