Now Hip-Hop Violinists Are Beefing?
Apparently Miri Ben-Ari is out to shut down other hip-hop violinists? If you search in Google for hip-hop violin, the top video results have been removed by Miri Ben Ari's lawyers.
Does Miri Ben-Ari hate musicians and Hip Hop? It's beginning to seem that way.
This week, Ms. Ben-Ari and her legal team have unleashed a war on instrumentalists -- specifically violinists -- within the Hip Hop world. I personally have received two threatening “Cease and Desist” letters via email (one of which I have blogged about in an earlier post), and it seems other violinists experimenting with Hip Hop music are getting attacked as well... continued here
Maybe I should trademark "Hip-Hop Videoblogger" and stop everyone else from talking about hip-hop on Youtube. (If Ms. Ben-Ari or her people read this, I'd love to post your side of the story if you want to clarify what's going on here.)

Peace...this is Fiidla...once known as "the Fiddler"...I am the violinist on "Hip hop for respect",Common's "Sun God",Santana's "After Supernatural" on the Shaman Album,Talib Kweli's "For Women" on Reflections Eternal....and many other HIP HOP cuts. Its good business to buy any title thats available..because you never know when someone will come along and claim a title that is what you've been doing all the time...lol.By the way....does the fact that you have hip hop people on stage with Classical musicians..make them HIP-Hop?The journey from Jazz violinist to hip hop violinist was not about a title change but a playing style change...Unfortunately Hip hop audiences are not always as discriminating about the rhythmical skills and tonal color of instrumentalist as they are of Rappers. The motto should be beware of those calling themselves "Hip Hop","Jazz",or anything else..."Charlie Parker did not call himself the God-father of Jazz saxophone"..."the bebop king"....ect..HE JUST WAS!!
