October 18, 2007Man Who Discovered DNA Loses His Mind
Jay, you want to take this one? Posted by dcharnas at October 18, 2007 7:13 PMComments
I had the pleasure of seeing this splashed across the front page of the newspaper while sitting in a cafe here in London. What irritates me more than this racist old coot is that the news gave it the title "Black people 'less intelligent' scientist claims" instead of something like "Renowned Scientist makes Racially Inflammatory Comments" Because if you look at the front page, you don't know which way the article is going -- the way it's written, you could just as well think the "scientist's claims" are valid. And some people won't read past the headline. And some racist people will add that headline to their mental checklist of racist 'facts'. Posted by: Kai at October 19, 2007 1:24 AM www.hadub.com has the best beats that I've heard in a long time. I just bought 3 of the shirts since they come with a FREE copy of their album "Affiliation". I can't stop playin' the mix as soon as you open the page though. All of those beats are sick! Finally good talent out of San Diego. Posted by: Deezy at October 19, 2007 12:17 PM Again -- naw. You know what? I'm not even gonna start. -Black People Posted by: Black People at October 19, 2007 3:44 PM Damn shame. I aint heard nothing about this. Posted by: JohnnyUnitus at October 19, 2007 9:15 PM Silly nonsense. he neglected to mention that genetically white people are more mutant than African people. With the original ydna and mtdna strands originating in Africa and all people related to one another. The genetic mutations in Europe are farthest away (more mutations) from the original human beings in Africa. Now, I do not think that has any correlation to intelligence. However, it is a scientific fact that the R1b Ydna strand (most popular among European men) is far more mutant (about 9 mutations if not more) than the E3b (North and East African) and E3a (West and South African) (The Es differs by two mutations) strands of Africa. There... I said it. White people are more mutant than black people, scientifically speaking. Hence, the scientist is a mutant!! Posted by: Deidra at October 20, 2007 8:06 PM Good mornin' Yo, alls I got to say is today FIVE ELEMENT NINJA was re-released and restored by Celestial Pictures. This is the first time any of us will see it this way. Today is a good day. Here's a clip from the old version we've been watcing for the last two decades. http://youtube.com/watch?v=npgmwndLQhs -Black People Here's where you can try and get a copy. Posted by: Black People at October 23, 2007 6:00 PM I'm glad to see this article posted and discussed. Sad and vile that Watson would think and express such things. By the way, James Watson is not "the man who discovered DNA." Watson and colleague Francis Crick elucidated the structure of the DNA molecule in 1953. Friedrich Miescher, a Swiss biologist, had isolated DNA some years earlier; his signal paper on the subject appeared in 1871. Among molecular biologists and biochemists, it is Miescher who is credited with the actual discovery of DNA. Returning to Watson: disgusting; I would have thought him above this, but I was wrong.
