Is TI Getting Off Too Easy?

What do y'all think? If he's gonna get off with 1+ year plus a bunch of community service they should at least make him go pick up some leaves or something..

T.I.’s unusual sentence ignites controversy—but can it save his soul?

...A week after the rapper T.I. pled guilty to federal weapons charges and cut a deal that shortened the amount of jail time he’d have to serve, many—including his own fans—were still arguing that the hip-hop superstar wasn’t being punished enough.

“I don’t care how much money a person has, they shouldn’t be able to get away with stuff that a person with less money couldn’t,” an observer called NYCutie posted on the site of Atlanta-based photographer Sandra Rose, echoing the sentiments of a large swath of commentators. “Justice was NOT served!”...

People with more should be allowed to get off. At least somebody will. NYCutie's an asshole.

maybe T.I. didn't get off as easy as we think. Maybe he's indebted to the feds when they need "favors"....

pleading out is the new snitching in '08??

I was saying when all this went down that the fed case didn't look as strong as the news made it seem. Also the fact that he was hit purchasing but not in the commission of another crime meant T.I. would have found some friends to help him i.e. the NRA.

This to me sounds like his lawyers went in saying we can fight this using the 2nd Amendment and maybe win or you can give us something good and he will take the time without appeal or trial. Paying lawyers is good, kiddies.

Belve,

You're talking like T.I. doesn't have multiple felonies though. Wasn't he still on probation from the stuff that went down when he dropped Trap Muzik?

I understand that T.I. is rich, but when you're carrying that many F's and you get caught red handed buying heavily artillery.... you should get some real time.

a 12 month sentence definitely made me raise an eyebrow.

Hopefully this stint inspire him to another Trap Muzik, no more TI Vs Tips.

"an observer called NYCutie posted"

The T.I. controversy aside, when did website commenters start becoming the go-to people for article quotes?
