In what some may consider an unexpected move, rap artist “Snoop Dogg” has reportedly converted to Mormonism after nearly a year of study with the fast-growing, Utah-based faith.
Snoop Dogg says he “can’t get enough of the Book of Mormon.”
In a statement, a spokeswoman for Snoop Dogg — whose real name is Calvin Broadus — said he considers himself extremely fortunate to have discovered such a deep sense of spiritual fulfillment as a Mormon at this stage in his life...
...Though Snoop Dogg has been hesitant to publicly discuss his recent spiritual journey, he commented on the experience of attending his first “Family Home Evening” in a recent interview with People Magazine.
“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”
...Snoop Dogg dismisses critics who claim his conversion is intended to placate a Salt Lake County judge, before whom he is appealing an alleged probation violation.
“Listen, the haters will say what they will,” Snoop Dogg said. “I can only do what I feel is right.”

oh yes its of course because he wants more wives, because mormons actually do practice that! get your facts straight. The lds religion has not practiced that since two centuries ago. Some people really need to do their research before jumping to conclusions.

I grew up LDS and have found comfort in many other religions and lifestyles. Snoop Dogg has been a hero for me as I broke away from the church. The "Straight and Narrow" is bull shit. I apologize for being harsh, but it is something I am passionate about. "Heaven," if that's what you want to call it is open to every living thing. There are many many ways to reach the state of mind. Snoop Dogg has seen the light and is on the right path. This does not mean Mormonism is his path. April Fools, faggots.

I dont know If he did join or not but its not a bad thing if he did. I have been a member of the church all my life and its great has great values and is about families. please check out your information before stating it. there is an official website you can look at to find out about our beliefs. www.mormon.org or www.lds.org check it out you nevr know....

SOOO many people are SOOOO gullable. If you look at the original articles, they have a statement at the very bottom next to the copyright info saying something to the effect of "snoop dogg is not mormon" and "april fools." How come nobody looks at the fine print? And I just saw it tonight.

Who knows if it is real?... I dont think his religion (whatever it may be?) is any of our business... everyones spiritual life should be keep sacred and out of the spot light... so I hope we can all respect that thanks

I pray to God that he didn't convert. I live in Utah and was raised Mormon. That religion is bullshit. It's full of weird beliefs. I am so happy being a normal Christian.
