April 8, 2008Spike Lee on Obama and Hillary ClintonSpike Lee is a funny man (not that this is news): Posted by jsmooth995 at April 8, 2008 2:41 AM Comments
Spike is right about those old black politicians. They have never moved on, they want to be the black ruling class, and maybe they were for a minute, but those days are over. Charlie Rangel, Andrew Young, and a host of others, need to step aside or at least shut up. To support Hillary now, after all of her race baiting tactics, is to show you are morally bankrupt. The Clinton's have probably done deals with them in the past to buy their loyalty, but why should that matter once they have applied very dirty and malicous tactics to slander Obama, after a Hillary win was all but mathematically impossible? Hillary sucks but Obama is no visionary. He's a mainstream politician, with mainstream policies. Politically, he'll be business as usual, but i would appreciate having a president who understands what it means to be black in America. Other than that, I think he'll do what every other president has done: Fuck the working class. And I'd expect no less of him, its in the job description. Posted by: Kai at April 8, 2008 2:44 PM ah, so if you support Hillary, and you're Black, you're a sellout! Posted by: Hashim Warren at April 8, 2008 10:02 PM And the Obama campaign has the chutzpah to say that others play the race card, and that he and his supporters are looking for UNITY in AMERICA??? Between being told by respected Obama Surrogates on TV that if Obama doesn't get the nomination there will be rioting in the streets to rival any in the past, Black superdelegates being heavily pressured to leave Hillary and the rampant intimidation that actualy goes to death threats from time to time if African American citizens indicate that they are committed to the Clinton message, I am beginning to believe that the only Hope being taken away from Obama's inspiring messages is the hope that the acceptance and practice of Farrakahannian and Wright messages of an anti-American, anti-white America may me closer than most Americans who are buying the "Great Chameleon,s" rhetoric are ready to believe. "People ain’t feelin’ that stuff. It’s like a tide, and the people who get in the way are just gonna get swept out into the ocean. Posted by: Olivia at June 2, 2008 12:53 AM Could someone please tell me why it is that Spike Lee - a grown man for all intents and purposes - dresses up in what appear to be costumes? Does this man ever wear the same thing twice? Not that this tendency to pay too much attention to his asinine appearance is the only thing that discredits Mr. Lee (his movies; racist comments; general stupidity; bitter anger and perpetual victimhood, etc. far outweigh his costumes/masquerades) but the constant clothing changes are seriously cringe inducing evidence of a deep commitment to wimpiness. Anyone? Help. Posted by: Daisy at June 20, 2008 5:04 PM |
