thanks for posting that! couldn't find it anywhere else. as much as i don't like seeing my candidate pushed around, it's refreshing in a way to see him get challenged. when england's politicians get interviewed they get blasted in the face just like this, and they prove they're stronger because of it. wish o'reilly was a liiiiiittle more respectful, but not much. Posted by: caleb at September 5, 2008 1:32 AM the way bill o reilly said "the rest of the interview will be seen on monday, tuesday & wednesday of next week.....and it is lively!" that means there was a BIG argument Posted by: Nasir at September 5, 2008 5:19 AM that means there was a BIG argument." No, that just means O'Reilly's main purpose in life is to sell advertising. Posted by: Greg F. at September 5, 2008 11:33 AM that means there was a BIG argument." His verbal, body language, and facial exressions towards Obama say I feel superior and I will put you on the spot, won't let you talk, and hopefully you'll loose popularity. He was not prepared for Obama's informed and experienced answers and it was clear his pompuos demeanor changed when he realized he could not bring the senator down!! Posted by: dede at September 6, 2008 2:52 AM Wow- this goes to show how extremely intelligent Obama is! If he can take the heat from Butt-heat-Bill, he can handle any tough World leader. He is amazing! I would like to see McCain try to take heat like this from a Liberal Talk Interviewer. He could hardly handle the questions from Ellen on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Posted by: Jen at September 6, 2008 11:28 PM It was a disaster. Obama looked threatened. What's with that uncomfortable sitting forward in the chair? Posted by: Divsivejones at September 24, 2008 6:01 PM comment3, Posted by: Fznnoega at October 10, 2008 12:08 PM You scream, I scream, they all scream socialism, but of course just cause you scream it, don’t necessarily make it so. Despite the omnipresent Nextel ads running alongside football games that seem to pine for a dictatorship of the proletariat, socialism does not appear to be included in any of the bailout packages. “Socialism is a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.” Community as a whole, don’t be expecting any free government issued shit like insurance, or no fee banking. There is ism on the rise, but not that kind. The rising will lead banks, insurance, and auto to be deemed to important to be run without government oversight and discretion. The permeable layer between government and industry shifts balance. I am he, as you are he, and we are all together. The story, centers exclusively on talk of the crash of 1929, and no further than the crash of ‘29. And yet, what about the treasury making special deposits to banks in trouble in 1801, 1818, and 1819… History is forced back into its cave. ‘For historians each event is unique. Economics, however, maintains that forces in society and nature behave in repetitive ways. History is particular; economics is general.’ And now the electorate is forced to see itself, in the shadow of the televised world. The viewer previosuly allowed to remain ignorant of one and still feeling knowledgeable about the other. As if economics and politics could ever exist in separate spheres. Meanwhile the electorate remains mostly blind, with a desperate hope in the expert caste... Posted by: Ill Minister of Finance at October 16, 2008 11:27 AM Many are negative concerning the implications of the markets recent downturn. As financial adviser, negativity stands in direct opposition to the first rule. The world is as you make it. Contrary to popular opinion, after the crash in ’29, there was no mass of suicide jumpers. Many remained positive, because the world is as you make it. Fast Eddie would say that the dumb people lost their money in ’29, the smart people in ’30, and the geniuses in ’31. Because the world is as you make it.
