Maybe they had just rented the Belly DVD
This review of Tuesday's Summer Jam concert has a tasty tidbit at the end:
Some low points during the evening were Nelly and the St. Lunatics being booed during their performance of "Dilemma" and a chorus of boos when Nas performed a verse from his Jay-Z diss record "Ether."
The first part is certainly understandable, but why was Nas booed for doing Ether? Has public opinion swayed back towards Jay Z's corner? Or maybe people are just generally tired of beef?

i was under the impression that people liked Nelly? maybe it is non-hiphop people, i mean like britney spears fans that mostly enjoy Nelly?

Dilemma is the song with Kelly Rowland right? They didn't boo because they don't like Nelly, they booed because that song is god awful.

LOL...Well ummm...yeah, Dilemna is not that great of a song (especially after you've heard it played a gazillion times), but I don't understand why they booed Nas either. Perhaps they were rabid Jay-Z fans. I don't know about being tired of beef...sounds too good to be true to me.

ACTUALLY.... I think the fans in the audience recognize Top 40 when they here it... (Nelly)
He is not part of the Hip Hop community... He is sorry as hell... He is a pop artist- not a Hip Hop emcee.... As for Nas? well... my theory would be people are sick of the top 40 beef between him and Jay Z... Their constant pathetic feud reflects both of their mainstream images.... It's stupid.... Plain and simple... They are both out of their element...

After I read the article about the "summer jam" that included Nelly and Nas.... I was very pleased to here both of the Top 40/Mainsteam pop artists were laughed at while they took the stage... Nelly is not a Hip Hop emcee... He is a pop artist joke... He should be performing along side JaRule and Brittney Spears....
As far as Nas goes... My theory would be Hip Hop fans across the country are recognizing redcord sale scheme when they here it... Both Nas and Jay Z need to go some where else with their pathetic little kid name callin bullshit-- They both have talent... To bad they had to sale out for the bling bling Top 40 mainstream!!!!
