November 19, 2003Update on Rumors of New Jay-Z MaterialSuper-producer and frequent Jay-Z collaborator Just Blaze got in touch with me last week (I'm about 95% sure it was really him), and wanted to clarify that all the rumors swirling around about Jay-Z's future projects are fictional, especially the supposed new tracks mentioned by "DJ Dubb" in the replies to my earlier post. If you look around in there you will notice Just Blaze himself also commented in the thread a couple of times.. Posted by jsmooth995 at November 19, 2003 02:05 PMComments
YO, PEEP IT...WHETHER YOUR 95% PERCENT SURE OR 110% SURE IT WAS JUST BLAZE..THE MAN HOLLA'D AT ME IN L.A. AND SAID ALL THE SHIT I STATED. I STAND BY WHAT I WAS TOLD. NOW, IF MAYBE, JAY AND THE ROC A FELLA STAFF DOESNT WANT THAT INFO PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE, THEY MAY BE TRYING TO COVER JUST BLAZE'S MOUTH FOR HIM...IM HEARING MAD RUMORS OUT HERE...OF COURSE, THE ALL COULD BE RUMORS..BUT I KNOW BLAZE HIMSELF ACKNOWLEDGED JAY HAD MAD MATERIAL AND WOULD PROABABLY BE PUTTING IT OUT, INCLUDING A JOINT WITH DOC DRE.. Posted by: DJ DUBB at November 19, 2003 03:11 PM maybe Just Blaze can tell us whether Jay-Z has skills or not. Posted by: eric at November 19, 2003 06:02 PM this is the last time i will address this. as most of you can imagine i really dont have time to go back and forth about this but when jay hit me n said that dubb was stikin to his story i had to respond. again, i dont drink and rarely do i party. i have NEVER been to the goodbar EVER. so right there your story falls off track at the jump. Secondly, being that Jay is my man and i dont even know you, why would i put his business out there to a stranger? Like really dog, cmon now. NEXT the Dre issue, Jay waited till the last possible minute to get a joint from Dre but when it came down to it and he didnt get anything, he recorded "moment of clarity" which he had in the stash for a while but wasnt moving on yet. being that dre and em have similar sounds and he only had one open slot he wanted it to be a dre joint but he didnt come thru so there you have that. I actually fought Jay on doing bonus trax coz i had 2 other beats i wanted him to do but he wasnt having it. One beat was the PSA, which he took another skit off the album for and the other... maybe we'll see it on freeways album. Anyway the point is, I know you tryin 2 save face dog and stick by your story but you'd be better off comin clean or just not posting anymore coz u are really playing yourself right now. I don't know you, have never met you, and at this point have no interest IN meeting you. maybe next time you'll think before you type. and PLEASE dont try to use the excuse that it was someone posing as me because A) anyone who pays attention to their hip hop has an idea of what i look ike and B) u claim to have met me with the Roc taff (HA!) so u tellin m that the ppl that work at roc are running with an impostor and dont know its not me? Posted by: Just Blaze at November 19, 2003 08:07 PM fradulence!!! your a fraud!!! ha ha!! im lovin how dudes be frontin'...look, for real... this now..you sayin "he had one open slot, so he took em, instead of dre" okay, jackass...one, he planned on using both eminem and dr.dre, that is verified due to the fact jay z ran a print ad for the black album listing dr. dre and eminem as producers..so you already showing loop holes. dr. dre recently said he gave jay z 4 or 5 tracks to choose from for the black album..loophole #2..you have never been to goodbar..funny, cuz you were there for cam'ron's party in 2002.if you are who you say you are..this would add up..it doesnt..your story has more holes than mesh fabric.. Posted by: djdubb at November 19, 2003 08:48 PM okay, genius..got more for you.(damn it feels good to end this drama). answer a few questions for me?? Posted by: dj dubb at November 19, 2003 09:41 PM okay, you right. im crazy.im so hood..thanks dog. you think your just blaze?? look, homie, "just don't"..your weak in your attempts..you read lots and lots of xxl and think you got enough info to pretend to be just blaze..look, i could really care less about it. hold up...let me play too.."yo dog, this dj quik, and when me and jay was in the studio working on "justify my thug", i actually was gonna give him another joint, but i ended up selling it to xzibit, so we made "justify..." up on the spot. i was already working on tracks for roc a fella artist allen anthony, so jay came thru and we vibed for a lil bit..and like magic, we came up with it, and got my homegirl to flip the madonna chorus"...man, get the fuck out of here with that bullshit..im pullin your card and you know it..anybody can pose as someone else..unlike your bitch ass, i am from the hood..and i dont sit around playin on the internet. recently, i started talkin online about hip hop, cuz i am a hip hop fan and just commented on some shit someone else posted!!! thats all..i get hit with the dramatic storyline from "just blaze himself". i feel so honored that someone as prestigious as yourself would respond to me..being that your so busy, why would you waste your time if it was a rumor or a lie..you get that all the time in your line of work, dont you?? no, you dont, cuz your not who you say you are. you are an impostor who will continue to claim to be just blaze because 1) you dont wanna look stupid and 2)you have nothing better to do..so i will end this like the muthafucka i am...kanye west is hotter anyway!!! biitch!!! (lol) shoutouts to the real just blaze!!! wherever you are!!! See, we even those silicone and platic DJs are showin' love. Kanye was on the Wake Up Show last week... and he KILLED it. It was like some Common type connect-the-dot rhymes, just non-stop freestyle with no pauses. we may have the radio shows, but..... Posted by: eric at November 22, 2003 04:01 AM Coastal rivalry? Never that. The plastic n silicone is in reference 2 the women out thr. Lotta 'alterations' goin on out thr. "Don't have a nice body? Well come on down n buy one!" I always get love in l.a. N its much appreciated... Sumtimes more than in ny 2 be honest. Anyway dubb's safe, only thing hurt will be his pride. Not into violence. That shit is pointless. Posted by: DJ DUBB at November 24, 2003 12:47 PM I'm not gonna really step in here with too much, just a couple comments. I guess that this little back n forth nonsense was cool for a minute, but for real, the zorro mask is off, and the only one who doesn't notice is this fake ass just Blaze. Your ass is out dickhead. Are fools supposed to believe that Just has got nothing better to do than play hide n seek with some dude online for like a week straight. What the fuck kinda pocket protector wearing bird r u man? I've told this Dubb fellow for the umpteenth time that i have a legitimate right to deem myself Just Blaze, since I am indeed him, moron. Now listen here nigger... Don't piss me off. Just like you, I don't drink or smoke (it def. fucks with my beat skills) myself, but I'm wondering, do you get nervous when you show other people besides your clients your beats? I mean, me, I do. But its weird why, they're like "damn dude, that shit is crazy hot" (they don't nessiarily say just that) but I rarely get a negative response on my beats and I for some reason get really nervous by people telling me my shit is dope. I mean you can check it out if you want, but I'm more comming to you from a same producers point of view. My friend Sean said its probably because thats my version of preforming. Anyway, Thank You, Posted by: Balsam Etheridge at June 20, 2004 11:21 PM Ok...ok... okay!!! I'm a Chicago Independent producer working on a CD for a group by the name of POS "Product of the Street". We hit the streets early this summer with a single titled "I'm feeling Bubbly". It's definitly Chicago and the sound is unheard of!!! What we need to do next is shop it aorund and get some seriuos professional feedback. Two... Me being a producer, I'm looking for a one or two place to send my beats to be appraised and sold.
