when people become isolated they try to find a sense of belonging to certain organisation or religion, on their own they are unable to face the world and also to hide their wrong doings they wish to be called a muslim, a christian or a Jew so that he or she is not seen as an individual. Why are there so many false concepts concerning the teachings of the Most Honored Elijah Muhammad.
First, the Shahada in Islam states " There is No God but Allah, Muhammad is his Messenger" in the Holy Quran there is made a difference between a "Nabi" and a "Rasool"; a "Nabi" is a Prophet/messenger who receives scripture and a Messenger is just that; a messenger who delivers devine revelation. The shahada says "Muhammad Rasool Allah" it does not say "Muhammad ibn Abdulla is Rasool Allah" We the followers of Elijah Muhammad bear witness that Muhammad ibn Abdulla is the last "Nabi" but certainly not the last "Rasool". The Holy Quraan says that Allah sent (past participle) a Messenger to every nation and raises a messenger from among the people he desires to warn, guide, etc... The western Hemisphere has not been givin a messenger until Allah raised up the Honorable Elijah Muhammad from among the so-called Negro of America. The Holy Quraan says that Adam was created of "BLACK MUD" fashioned into shape, the very word "HUMAN" comes from a Latin word Humanus which means man of the "Humus" and Humus is defined as the vegetation of the earth or that which makes the soil "BLACK". If we did not live in a world that denigrated BLACKNESS and uplifted WHITENESS and treated people w/contempt because of the color of their skin, namely BLACK skin there would be no reason to declare that the BLACK man is the Original Man and reveal the Truth of how races came into existence. The Holy Quran does not mention computers but we know that computers are a reality, the Quraan does not mention atomic and nuclear bombs but that doesn't mean they are not real and do exist so just because the Quraan doesn't say outright that the Blackman is the Original Man and White people came into existence through a system of birthing called "Grafting" doesn't mean that it isn't truth or that it did not happen. The honorable Elijah Muhammad also taught us that every individual has the right to Freedom, Justice, and Equality regardless to race, religious belief, or being Muslim or non-Muslim. Just as the Sun shines freely on the righteous and un-righteous so do We the Muslims treat everyone w/respect. That is the behavior of the righteous, only speaking what we know and verifying what we read or hear to ascertain the truth. It is a very foolish practice of the Eastern Muslim world to decide who is a Muslim and who practices Islam. I always wonder would they consider Abraham a Muslim considering the fact that he and his son Ishmael built the Kaba and named us Muslims, he certainly bore witness that there is no god but Allah but he couldn't say Muhammad is his messenger because there was no Muhammad then. The Holy Quraan says every Prophet of Allah taught Islam(Submission of one's will to ALLah's WIll) Jesus taught a different Islam than Muhammad ibn Abdulla but Islam nontheless so why are we begrudged of Islam simple because we don't follow the Scholarship of a Muslim world that is off the "Right Path". Why don't the Sunni's or Shi'its disband their "sect" since Muhammad ibn Abdulla established THE "NATION OF ISLAM" having no sects or divisions, he himself was just a "Muslim", not sunni or shi'it or any other "sect". Abraham did not pray in the manner that is prescribed in the Quraan but he Prayed nevertheless, neither did Jesus pray in the manner that is in the Quraan but he was always in prayer. The Muslim world should be on their feet in praise to Allah for turning our Faces toward the Kaba, and throwing off of ourselves many of the vices that western world is filled with. We observe many Muslims that migrate hear and amalgamate with Western culture's practices like cigarett smoking, drinking liquors, selling pork and treating non-arabs and black people w/a superior type of attitude typical of a White supremacy indoctrination which the Prophet Muhammad warned his community before he departed. We are so thankful to Allah for coming to us in The Person of Master FARD Muhammad to Be our MADHI to the straight path of ALLAH that we be successful in the house of the Infidel where once Islam was outlawed. The 22nd Sura 54th Verse states that Allah will be the "GUIDE" to those who believe to the straight path. We are grateful to Allah that he did not leave our guidance to a Muslim World that is in submission to the Western World's military power. The prime minister of Malaysia Mohamed Mathir's speech at the World Islamic Conference summed up the state of affairs of the Muslim World with extreme accuracy which does not reflect a world with a right understanding of Allah's Message via the Holy Quraan. Keep watching this budding Nation in the West called "Nation of Islam" for Allah has many wonders to perform, he intends to bring all of Humanity into submission(Islam) to his Active Will which is FREEDOM, JUSTICE, EQUALITY, and PEACE. There are so many people from every country and continent. Not just black, but white, arabians, chinese, indonesians, nigerians, indians and so many others. And here Elijah Muhammed was talking about blacks being the supreme race. Ha! We are all the same in front of the eyes of Allah. In front of Him we are not judged for being black, white, orange, or pink but for being Muslims. So this talk of 'blue-eyed devils' is complete rubbish! Nation of Islam is rubbish! And that Sarfarrazz El-Shabazz needs to stop going on about 'white supremacy' because that's just racist in my opinion. Can't he just say that all this was work of Satan? U have probably not even studied the religion and just speak to extremes. I think it is riskier to speak as any authority on the religion speaking against Islam with such limited uneducated and extreme speculations about it. The Quran says Heaven lies under the feet of the mother. Bro mothers are actually women you know. Alcohol is not an absolute. When it was initially stopped it was said to cut down, knowing how humans functioned and then after time a ban came. Anything that harms yourself is thought of badly. As long as you have people around you that you care about how can you afford to be sloshed, anything happens and you will be helpless, we as ourselves in our natural forms should be enough to enjoy ourselves. I know who i am and i am complete as i am, i dont need any outside influences to enjoy myself. I dont feel i lack anything and im confident enough without them. I can still stand tall when they arnt around. Most Muslims unlike you dont feel like anything is missing, we live happy lives, financially succeed, just like other people when we try, have families love and care for the people around us, have a blast and love life and are thankful for what we have. whether Micheal did become a muslim or not its none of peoples business. he might truly be convicted for some certain court cases but this does not make him an alien he is a normal human being who is perfectly capable of making his own choices of what he wants to believe. well he has tried his best to find the right way of living but in this life and its surroundings it can be a pretty hard job to do. to be a muslim you dont need to be black or white you just need to make sure that you are ready to commit urself to the new set of beliefs.

I guess you could say I am a convert to Islam: I was born a Muslim Shi'a Iranian, but my family doesnt practice and so I didnt either. But 2 years ago, I got enlightened, and now I am fully Muslim. (i am mostly Sunni now actually, but I mean..islam is ONE religion)

I see that my post got a few individuals upset, I also see that as usual Truth was the first casualty. We the so-called american Negros who have accepted our nature which is Islam and have attempted to be ourselves which is a righteous Muslim have a very unique history here in the Western Hemisphere since we have been completely cut off from our historical identity, nevertheless as divine providence would have it we had to go through what we went through in order to render the mighty service Allah would have us render to Humanity. Islam is the most beautiful community that has existed for the past 14 centuries and the Quraan is the most excellent Book one could ever read, it also is a book wherein there is NO DOUBT in it. It is Mathematically perfect and it's composition deals with every human condition and every human motive which causes people to think and act as they do. We the followers of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad are patient in going over facts and truth over and over again, we will continue to grow in our ability to explain the truth with as much detail as is available. The end of race consciousness and nationality cannot be removed from one's thoughts except there be Truth spoken in regards to race and nationality. Again I'll say; If we did not live in a world of racism and White Supremacy Indoctrination there would be no reason to discuss race or the origins of race. To discuss how races came into existence is not racism. To state that all races came from Black people is not racism, it is truth! Just because that is stated does not imply superiority of black but it certainly lifts them from an inferiority complex because of there black identity. Racism is all over the World some acknowledge it but most don't. We the follower's of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad do not teach racism which is the teachings that we are a victim of but we do teach racial respect and love of black self since we have endured centuries of being fed a hatred of blackness which inturn have caused many problems within our own culture, this is something that may be difficult for those who have not experienced it to fully understand but that's okay becuase everything is not for you to understand. It just saddens me that everytime you hear Eastern Muslims' attack on the NOI it is always based on half-truths and outright falsehoods, it it always based on a teaching that is taking out of context and it is not dealt with facts and truth. The cry is always "they're not practicing Real Islam"; what is "REAL ISLAM" and "TRUE ISLAM" please tell me where REAL ISLAM is practiced so that I may observe their Submission to ALLAH's Will. I've read much literature from so-called Scholars on the religion of Islam as well as the Quraan itself, also some hadith supposely the words spoken by the Prophet himself and there doesn't seem to be a complete consensus within the scholarship of Islam, if there were there wouldn't be "sects" i.e., Sunni, shii'a. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad followed the Sunna of the Prophet if you truly studied his Sunna and not get caught up in the differences in time frame such as brushing your teeth with a mishwak to the toothbrush of today or riding a camel and riding in a car today. The honorable Elijah Muhammad's methodology in bringing us Islam followed in the tradition of how Islam was introduced to the Arabs 14 centuries earlier along with dealing with the realities of the time w/truth but since the Muslim world is so far off the Right path as Prophet Muhammad predicted that it would be it's no wonder the Right Path seems like it's not "True Islam". You know it is unfortunate that we are even engaging in something so trivial since Islam is a religion of Unity and Respect for Humanity (all of Humanity)just as all of Humanity lives in the Universe and benefit from the Greatest signs of Islam; The SUN, MOON, and STARS. All benefit from Rain and that which the earth produces. In oder to reach that which Islam advocates and demonstrates during Hajj Truth must be spoken to the obstacles in the way of such a reality. I believe that "there is NO god but ALLAH, and Muhammad is his Messenger" okay, but what does that mean. to believe in a messenger of Allah is to believe in Allah. you can't disbelive in the Messenger and believe in Allah for the messenger relays Allah's message which contains revelation(that which we knew not and guidance) Allah's messenger also bring w/him knowledge of the time which dictates which actions are in accord w/Allah's will for the period of time the messenger is raised in, this is Divine Mercy from Allah that he raises up a Messenger to deliver his message especially if the people have deviated from Messages prevoiusly givin. If the Muslim world had stayed firm on the DEEN that The Prophet put them on the world that we presently know would not have been able to come into existence. Slavery, colonialization, Nationalism, Sexism, Materialism subjugation of Women would not have been able to blossom had the Muslim World stayed firm on that path, However that is not the case. We the so-called american Negro did not come into Islam to follow the understanding that is prevailing but to submit our will to do the will of Allah which is to obey the messenger who brings the message that will bring us back to the Right Path, the path of those whom Allah has bestowed his blessings. When the Honorable Elijah Muhammad first began teaching Islam in America it grew and alot of things that was prcticed then is not practiced now, so let us continue to grow in our understanding of what Allah revealed to us for the benefit of Humanity, The Holy Quran teaches that Allah sent his messenger w/the True Religion that he may make it prevail over all other religions so I believe that process of Prevailing began w/a MAN named Fard Muhammad the GUIDE, who raised up the Honorable Elijah Muhammad;the first begotten of the so-called Negro(DEAD) to expose the Son of perdition, the man of Sin and to make a straight path in a very crooked world. I just wanted to respond to Wamiq, I know brother there is so much mis-understanding concerning just what the Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught concerning "the Blue Eyed-Devils", that is a statement in the Holy Quraan; that Allah would gather the guilty blue-eyes. That may have allegorical meaning in the Arabic etymology, I'll study that! Concerning Malcolm X, he did not discover White Muslims when he made his pilgrimage, He always knew there were white Muslims. Something to ponder: Malcolm X was Elijah Muhammad's spokesman for 11 years, and he was out of the Nation for 11 months. The greatness of that Man was as a result of the 11 years teaching the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Now, he never taught that ONLY Blacks can be Muslims, He did teach that the Black Nation are Muslims by Nature, Islam is the Nature in which Allah created him but you can see that he can be other than himself and submit his will to do Satan's will which brings out of himself Devil. On the other end White people were brought into existence through a type of birth control system called grafting, during this grafting process Lying and Murdering was the method that brought them into being, Please listen; this is not racism! It's revelation; let me try to explain it this way, In biology you learn about dominant and recessive genes and how individuals obtain Blue eyes and Green eyes. These are recessive traits that can only be manifested if a recessive gene matches a recessive gene. This is not theory like the ape thoery taught in schools, White people are the manifest truth of this. The original White person is Blonde hair, Blue eyes and any White person that has black hair or brown eyes etc. have at one time in their history been tainted w/black or men of color's blood. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad did make pilgrimage in 1959 and he saw the Universality of Islam, and the beauty in the Mosaic of Humanity all serving one ALLAH, but that is a sign of the HereAfter, however when they go back to their countries of origin ofttimes they go back to business as usual. If we attempt to make the reality of Hajj real all over the world then you'll find yourself coming up against an Ideology that is non-conducive to Unity and Peace. We the so-called Negroes were reared in the House of the Infidels and we have witnessed much of the tactics that are being practiced on Muslims and non-Muslim, Blacks in particular but all races in general to keep division among them and keep them under the yoke of deception. A few points about the Micheal Jackson story...

Third, whatever spiritual direction Michael Jackson chooses is his personal choice. Period. Like it or lump it!

Fourth, most black folx in AmeriKKKa (christian and muslim) are not bent out of shape about Mike having good relations with the Nation of Islam because the nation (despite being demonized by demons) has been around trying to do good in the Black communites for what 70 years now while their critics have not much of anything to show for themselves!

His brother Jermain is Muslim since 1989 and he�s a member of the NOI (unfortunately). So is it really sooo unrealistic that MJ becomes Muslim ,too?? Michael is a very thoughtful person how you can see in his songs. He often sings about god and help and peace, equality and love etc. Besides he tries to help many people. Look, we all are searching for the meaning of our life. And the most people i asked about why he/she converted to Islam said that they found their meaning of life in this religion and in no other religion. Many of them were christians before. So why not? I can imagin MJ as a Muslim :) But nevertheless i pray to God, that he really became/becomes Muslim. And if not, then i�ll pray for him to find his meaning of life very quickly. No supposed "true" Muslim should condemn Nation of Islam brothers and sisters. You must study the history in America and be greatful for Fard Muhammad's and Elijah Muhammad's role in establishing Islam in America.. many of you are either to young or ignorant to know that you stand a top their physical trials and sacrifices for Islam to be as popular in America as it is today.

There is no "true" Islam or Sunni Islam or Shia Islam.. there is only Islam (submission to Allah). Tradition and culture does not = Islam.

No Sunni muslim, I do not reject you but I that premise. You can not compare the brothers and sisters of Nation of Islam to the consumption of poison intoxicants because such poisons lead to death and destruction of human life and spirit.

You judge a tree by its fruit and there is absolutely no argument to refute the fact that Nation of Islam has led to the opposite of death and destruction among those it reached but has led to cleaning up, disciplining and reforming countless people to lead more upright and moral lives according to the laws of Islam as revealed to Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings (submission to Allah). Allah (God) created nothing without an aim and a purpose and blessed is the man or woman who discovers his or her reason for being. Each of you in this very powerful and revolutionary hip hop community may have only wanted to make a good song and make a great impact, but maybe you are not aware that you have been chosen to lead.

I am a spiritual man, so I have to speak to you from the Books (Bible and Qur�an). You may not think that I am too hip, but when you hear from the Books who you are, why you are called and what your mission is that you have just begun to see, then you will know that the Prophets of Allah (God) who saw all the way to the Judgment and to the end of the present world had to have seen hip hop. You will not find the words "hip hop" necessarily in the Bible or in the Qur�an, but you are there in a very big way.

In the Book of John, it says, "In the beginning was the word. And the word was God and the word was with God and the word became flesh and the flesh dwelled among men. And the light shined in the darkness but the darkness, comprehended it not." I do not think it is an accident that music and culture have moved to this time and that the spoken word has become that which is affecting youth throughout the entire planet. In countries where governments do not like western music or western civilization, people are sneaking around listening to the word and moving to the beat of the hip hop generation. If in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God, then God here means Force and Power. The Word has Force. The Word has Power; Force and Power to move men to think new thoughts and to do new things.

There are a lot of people my age that talk about the lyrics of rap artists. They are upset that the rap artists speak of killing, using drugs, the misuse of our women, ripping off people and killing police, but these lyrics do not come from apples that have fallen from some other tree. The society says it wants the rappers to clean up their lyrics, but the society does not want to clean itself up.

So, what have you done, young people? You have brought out of the closet people�s realities. The youth have manifested the wickedness of their parents, their teachers, the judges, the politicians and the rulers. When you talk about gangster lyrics, you are literally showing aspects of a government that tells you that you should kill a leader that they disagree with�assassinate him, destabilize his government, cause hundreds of thousands, even millions of people to die, because you do not like their form of government. What is that but gangsterism in the name of government?

When you talk about killing, when you talk about shooting, you have got to clean that up. You talk about smoking weed and snorting coke, but that is something that went on in the White House and it goes on behind the doors in the best of society. What society would like to do with the young people is break the mirror, rather than look in the mirror and clean themselves up. If your lyrics reflect what is in the society, and society cleaned itself up, then you would have to talk about something else.

In China, in Japan, in Europe, in Africa, in the Caribbean, in Central America and South America, the youth are following you. You are already the leaders of the world, and it is frightening folks in power and they are asking themselves, "How do we get our children back?" Then they determine, "Let�s get Puffy. Let�s create problems in the hip hop community. We have already put guns among them, drugs among them, fostered gang life among them, now let us put them against each other so they will never come to realize their power potential. Let�s make them fight and kill one another."

Every time you use your rap song against another rapper and the magazines publish your words, the people that love you then turn on the people that you have spoken against. Then, the one you spoke against speaks back against you and his group becomes inflamed against you. When you are a rapper and you understand your leadership role, you must understand that, with leadership comes responsibility. You did not ask for it. It is imposed on you, but you now have to accept responsibility that you have never accepted.

Your potential to change reality is so great that, if you learned the skill of words and how to use words; if you learned how to say what it is you want to say, but say it in a way that gains universal respect, then the rap would evolve to an art form that will never be replaced. It will evolve to be that form that will set the stage for the next phase of its evolution.

The freedom of speech is one thing, but freedom is not license. That�s what is wrong in American society. You can say anything you want to without care for how it affects anything. That is not freedom. That is license. You say, "I�ll do anything I want to do. I�ll say anything I want to say because I�m grown. Don�t nobody tell me what to do." That attitude is revolutionary, it is really shaking up the parents and it is probably the right attitude to break from the old, but it is not the right attitude to come into the new. The elders are rejecting the youth because the youth are not listening to them and the youth are doing something that the elders do not quite understand. Let me help the elders to understand what is going on here.

When Allah (God) took the Children of Israel out of Egypt, He let the old wander in the wilderness for 40 years until all of them died out. He took nothing over 20 years of age into the new land but Joshua and Caleb, because the people were wholly rebellious. So, it is the youth that inhabited the Promise Land.

What is that a sign of for you today? You are the most courageous generation that we have ever had. You are the strongest generation that we have ever had. You are the most fearless generation that we have ever had, but your courage and your fearlessness are being used by the enemy so that you will destroy each other. When you pull the gun out, it makes you feel powerful, but the gun did not get you a following in China. The gun did not get you followers in Iran, Egypt, Ghana, and South Africa. It was the word. You do not need the gun to empower you, because the gun in the hand of an underdeveloped mind becomes an instrument of self-destruction. You have become now tools of a satanic mind that will use you to destroy your future.

I believe you can change the reality of American life and the racism that exists that has defiled, corrupted and destroyed American society. I believe that they cannot fight a war if the youth are enlightened and become instruments of peace and justice in the world. You can force government to change policies. I believe that 18 to 30 is the age group in America that is not registered and do not care about voting. So, the politicians court the "gray power" because old folks have united. They court the gay power because gays have united, but they have no program for you because the youth, which is the most potentially powerful group in the country, have not organized.

If the youth were organized, politicized and highly enlightened, then the two-year-olds that learn your rap can learn more than ABC�s, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse, because they are listening to you more than they are listening to their parents and teachers. Will you accept your responsibility as a leader?

This will take some courage, but you have got that. It is also going to take some study. You have to digest newspapers because current events are what rap artists have got to rap about, but put your own spin on it.

Let me tell you some current events that are happening that I believe you should be a part of. Did you know about Kwame Nkrumah or Gamel Abdul Nasser? These are people that have passed on, but Gamel Abdul Nasser was an Egyptian Arab and Kwame Nkrumah was an African leader educated in America. Together they came up with the thought of the United States of Africa. That was a dream deferred, but now Africa has come of age and her leaders have said Africa will never be able to deal in a global economy if they are 55 separate states. They have determined to become the United States of Africa. They want to set up a central bank and one currency. They are working out the problems that would keep them divided by ethnicity, tribal and language division.

Look at what is happening with the Palestinians and the Israelis, human beings so bereft of the spirit of life that they would strap a bomb on themselves because they have nothing to lose. Israeli children dying from bombs. Palestinian children dying from bullets. What do you have to say about it? Can you be a peacemaker? The scripture says, "Blessed are the peacemakers. They shall be called the children of God."

What about the Brown and Black condition in America? The Hispanic community is growing fast and the enemy wants to put the Black and the Hispanic community against each other, like we are natural enemies, when we are natural allies. What do you, as the leaders, have to say about that? Can you rap in a way that a Mexican youth, a Dominican youth or a Hispanic youth can say, "I�m not for that no more. We�ve got to come on down with some peace."

What do you have to say about the Department of Children and Family Services snatching Black children, Brown children and orphaning them off into strange environments? What do you have to say about the drugs that come into America, and America has these powerful satellites that can spot a grapefruit on the ground and tell you what the label is on the grapefruit, but cannot find the drugs that are coming in? What do you have to say about the gun manufacturers?

What do you have to say about the abuse of women, the pedophiles that are going around? You are the teacher. Can you teach the young that, "Where there are no decent women, there are no decent men, for the woman is the mother of civilization"? Can you teach young people to admire women and not abuse women, to respect and honor women and not defile women? Can you teach like that?

This is the challenge of responsible leadership that is chosen to lead, and I believe that leadership to be you.

This doesn't matter WHAT faith you are.
In every religion you will find people who claim to be a divine representation on earth.

The MAJORITY of so-called "true" Chrsitians, Muslims and Jews are hypocrites who lie and bullshit to trick the masses of the people to follow their lies and bullshit in the name of "divine represtation".

Why is the NOI's apparent difference in interpreting Islam such a flashpoint of dissention? Shia Islam, the Ahmadiyya's and many Sufis' can be considered "drastic" deviations from pure "orthodox" Islam and when they are discussed ,there is not the same venom coming from the sunnis? It seems to me that when Black people begin to interpret Islam in their own particular cultural viewpoint and not from an Arab or an Arab minded muslim there is a big problem. Sunni Muslims need to understand as well as the world at large that Black people have a right to profess what a "Muslim" is and what it is'nt.

The scholar of the 13th century Al Jahiz wrote a book called"The superiority of the Black over the White" in which he purports to say that Muhammad the prophet was a Black man. His Grandfather Al Talib was "as Black as night and Magnificent". He was also a Ethiopian.

Why are you a "Sunni" why not just muslim? Did Prophet Muhammad consider himself "Sunni"? Did Jesus (Isa), Ibrahim, or Mussa consider themselves "Sunni"?

Concerning Bilal, I beg you pardon! Bilal was NOT THE FIRST BLACK MUSLIM! And I dare you to back this up with your Quran. Do you actually belive that ISLAM started just a little over 1400 years ago with the revalation of the Quran to Arabs? If so, how do you explain Abraham and all the other prophets? Islam has no beginning or ending.

That's real nice and sweet and while it is true that Islam "should" not be corrupted "coz of colur," as you say, the fact is that racism (and sexism) has affected the mentalities and way that many muslims interpret Islam and the way that many Arab muslims relate to and respect other muslims.

This is especially true in America.

Black muslims in America have had no choice but to use Islam as their inspiration to fight for human/civil rights and against white-supremacy, etc. Arabs muslims have absolutely no right to challenge this. Especially when many of them have fled to America from their own oppressive muslim governments.

First, Let's begin all things with Allahs' Illustrious name!!

Okay MUSLIMS, lets not turn this beautiful topic into an insulting exchange of words which does not solve issues. Alot of what I'm reading from the participants in this dialog says to me that alot of you are not reading well what others are saying and trying to say. Whenever one reads the beautiful message of the Quran they should then take a good look at how things are in the present moment of reality and really try hard to correct erroneous thinking first within themselves then outside of themselves, The Holy Quran says that "had we wish to take a pasttime from among ourselves we would have, nay We(the Righteous) hurl Truth at falsehood til it knocks out it's brains" Hurling Truth at falsehood is what we try to do, but Truth is "Living" and it must be discovered from moment to moment, Truth is never the same but each time you discover it, it is the same. Some truths that were true yesturday can prove untrue today, so we must always seek truth if we are truly the "righteous". We the Muslims know that Islam is for everyone regardless of color, class, sex, station in life, have or have not, etc.... We the Muslims know that in Islam all are "Equally" before the LAW, but the Quran also teaches that Allah has exalted some above others and HE has chosen Some to excel in excellence over others, He also states in His Quran that whenever HE exalts you or raise you up in degrees over others it serves as a trail for you and others and if you stay firm and perserver under trial you will have your reward from Him. But if you fall back, Allah says He is Self-Sufficient having no need of you so He can chose other than you for his Glory. As I stated before and I'll state again, If it had not been for White-Supremacy Idealogy or Euro-centric Domination or Colonialism or Slavery or the Exaltation of the color "WHITE" and the demonization of "BLACK" in the world that we presently know, especially here in America, there never would have been a "NEED" to state "ACTUAL FACTS" concerning the origin of Color and Races. It is truly amazing that while the educational system was feeding people of color a distorted and false view of history about themselves their never was such a furor coming from the muslim world about "Islam not recognizing race differences and theres no color issues in Islam". Had the Muslim world did what they were commanded to do perhaps Colonialism and Slavery would not have happened, a case in point about Slavery; the kind of Slavery that I am referring to is the kind that strips one from their Humanity, robing them of the Nature that Allah created them in, causing them to hate themselves and hate what Allah created them to be, the kind of Slavery that forces one who's enslaved to set up rivals to Allah by looking at thier owners as Lord and Master. The Holy Quran says setting up rivals to ALLAH is the greatest sin and Allah says he forgives everything other than that. So how angry must ALLAH be that we The so-called American Negro were forced to call the White Slave makers "Master" and were forced to Hate our color and nation which was based on Lies and Falsehoods. We had to endure that onslaught for four centuries and continue to endure the result of such lies. Now that we are setting the record straight by the Grace of ALLah we must endure the resistance of a mind corrupted by racism; another case in point; racism is when to subdue another race in order to uplift your own usally based on lies and pre-judgements(perjudices) The Honorable Elijah Muhammad told the truth about White people and the origin of races not to denigrate or subdue the White race or any other race but to break-up that mind set built on falsehood. There are some Black folks that are so happy to here the truth about races that they run out there and make fun and insult other races which is not the right thing to do but hey, when you've been injesting a false doctrine for so many centuries and when truth comes and that truth is in your favor it can make you proud and if your not careful arrogant, but the balancing force of Islam if they practice it will cause them to grow beyond color conscience and racial importance into ALLAH where all are ONE. When the Nation of Islam hosted the Islamic Conference the Muslims who traveled here learnt that. In the teachings of Paul in the Bible(NEW Testament) he says in Christ there is no Male, no Female, no Bond, no Free, ALL are One in CHRIST. Oneness doesn't mean that you don't recongize the differences in the Human Family or that you don't see Color, it means you recognize that all are One in ALLAH that to HIM is the Return. Slavery as we know it today and Colonilism was not a reality in Muhammad ibn Abdullah's time, Africa was not subdued and conquered and the West was not founded by Europeans and Aficans were not chattel in his time. Racism among the Arabs was just beginning to show it's ugly head but certainly we did not have a whole world created as a result of White dominance and Supremacy. Please lets discuss this with truth and be amicable towards each other and Please lets deal with what a person in writing; many of you are in such a rush to respond from emotion that you go off the issue that is being discussed and this makes the dialog appear like foolish talk among fools and I do not want to engage in that kind of a fools game. The Great Light of Islam is to capture the hearts and minds of the Western Hemisphere by the Muslims unity and the "WORK" that they do from their Unity. But I must hasten to tell you that ALLAH has chosen and raised the DEAD(NEGRO) to life that we may lead the Righteouse back to the straight path of ALLAH and restore all things unto HIM. We would like the Help of the Muslims who migrated here and the Muslim World to accomplish our goal, we are are also soliciting the Help of all the Righteous regardless to what they call themselves to accomplish this great endeavor, but if no one helps us due to envy or believing what our open enemy says or does remember ALLAH is sufficient for ALL our needs. But why shouldn't the Muslims help us since ALLAH brought them out of great Ignorance and Polytheism and Idolatry into a Great Nation that advanced Mathematics, Science, Medicine, Astronomy, Acedemics, and so many other advances. The Western world with all it's techonology is detroying the world and raping the planet of is life in the face of a mighty nation that was suppose to Guard against evil and enjoin Good. Evil prospers so long as Good does nothing. Let this be a Year 2004 when we the Righteous show our resolve for ALLAh's Good Pleasure and stop this unnecessary critizism over an Ideology that is necessary in this time period we are living in.

The NOI has as much to do with Islam as the KKK has to do with Christinaty: the abuse of religion to obtain political goals at the expense of 'enemy'groups. The founding of Christianity and Islam by Christ and Mohamed is the opposite of these kind of organisations. It is the ultimate possibilty for all human beings to worship Our Creator: God or Allah.

When people should stop to judge other people on their race, sex or creed, life would be much more worthwile and we would see the divine core of every person.

In all the divine scriptures, the Bible and the Quran which are from the same source: God through his archangel Gabriel, the essence is on worshipping God and on a dignified life for every person on earth. An organisation like NOI is based on non-scriptural revelations and I can not believe that anyone who is serious about religion believe the lies that this organisation is spreading now for many decades.

Therefore, I can not believe that Michael Jackson really can choose for a organisation like NOI, which seems the exact opposite of everything Michael stood for in his life.

Please tell me or illustrate to me the lies that the Nation of Islam teaches. Also, Please illustrate to me how the Nation of Islam's teaching causes individuals to Cover themselves w/sheets and terrorize Whites, or any other race. In the 74 year History of the Nation of Islam can you find any history of provocation to violence or to harm anyone based on their skin color. When you make assertions you should back them up w/truthful facts. We can illustrate the violence perpetuated by the KKK against Blacks and Jews and the error in thier thinking which causes them to HATE non-whites, thier thinking is the thinking of IBLIS who thought himself better(Superior) because of some physical characteristic. That is based on falsehood. You say the essence of the scriptures is on worshipping God and living a dignified life. Have you observed the FOI or the MGT-GCC or any of the Conventions of the Nation of Islam, surely you'll observe Men and Women who are dignified, clean externally and internally. The great Transformation of Human life wrought by the Teachings of Islam as taught by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and his Ministers is so well documented that it shocks me that anyone in this modern age of the internet where information is so readily available to anyone seeking truth could fall victim to deceit and lies.
Let's go step by step over the Teachings that you believe are lies and evil.if you read the Bible and Understand the Coming of the Son of Man you'll have to bear witness that the Book of Isaiah says that He comes with a Government on his shoulders, this implies Politics which is the supplying of the needs of the people, The Holy Quran also is a Book instructing how to conduct a Nation which also is Political. Just because the way that the Devil conducts Politics is Evil doesn't mean Politics in and of itself is Evil, if you have righteous individuals conducting the affairs of a Nation you will have righteous Politics. Jesus also taught that Thy Kingdom come on EARTH as it is in HEAVEN. Go to the dictionary and study the word HEAVEN, read specifically the Christian Science definition where it states that HEAVEN is where Divine Mind is manifest. That means that if Human beings will allow themselves to be purified and transform thier minds and align thier Mind w/ALLAHs' good pleasures you will see Heaven on Earth. This has always been the Teaching of the Nation of Islam,the core teachings and it's Ultimate goal and pursuit. The only area of controversy and misunderstanding is the Teaching on the origin of Races and how White people came into existence and why they were brought into existence and how that purpose has come to an end and the Time and what must be done, Also on the Nature of God and his relationship to MAN(Wo-MAN), also on the Wheel, its function and reality. Also, on the Messengership of Elijah Muhammad and if he actually Met with God face to face as he claims. We who are his students believe that what he taught is Truth and nothing but the Truth and it is incumbent upon us to defend the Truth that he taught with what you have with you namely the Bible, Quran, Dictionary, the very Cells in your body, Mathematics, Science, Chemistry, Biology, Theology, the Very material of Matter. Even archeology, anthropology, Astronomy and Testimonies of individuals who have gone out to verify these truths. If you believe these teachings to be false what are you going by? Extract some of the teachings and lets disect them to expose whether or not they are rooted in truth or falsehood. I hope I'm welcome to post to this site. I have read some very interesting comments here and appreciate reading the different view points.
I'm a American,white,female Christian,( blonde haired green eyed, of German heritage.) Great grandfather and grandmother were from Frankfort.
My husband is Chinese. A non practicing Buddhist from a family of devout Buddhists.
I have four second cousins that are a mixture of black and white.
I love people of all races and religions. I just always thought the skin color and other racial differences in humans were from Gods handiwork and very wonderfully created.When I see children from other countries my heart pretty much melts.
Of course with what's going on Iraq we see plenty of footage of Iraqi children. My heart just melts when I see them. They are so beautiful.
I was told in 1982, just before my marriage, that I could have no children . I hope this isn't offensive to post my story but in 1977, when I was 19. I was kidnapped and beaten and raped. The man was black. He admitted to me afterwards that he had planned to kidnap a young white female that day and as as I was only 95 pounds (back then) and passed for 14, he said he thought I would not be able to put up much resistance to his 210 pounds. I was taken by force to an abandoned house and commanded to undress. I refused throughout beatings and death threats, so he had to do it himself. I refused not because I was predjudiced against his race, but because of my morals about having illicit sex. And I was very shy and modest. I would not help him. Unlike what people might think of American females, my father was very strict. I only had one chaperoned date at age 17 ( and that was after my father died, as my mom was more lenient then dad. Dad would not even have let me have that one date until I was 21, if he were still alive. Even my sister who was 21 and lived at home was under strict control. She had rules to obey also, and I can actually remember my father punishing her. Spanking her at age 21, for sneaking out of the house to meet a man. On my one date at age 17. I went to a movie and restaurant and was home by midnight. I received one small quick kiss goodnight at my door,and that was all.
I actually tried to shake my dates hand goodnight. I wasn't
even going to kiss him goodnight but he grabbed it and pulled me forward for a kiss. He actually wanted to date me again. I thought he would not want to see me again since he now knew that all he would get on dates from me was a handshake or quick kiss. But I was just very shy and I didn't date again of my own choosing until I was almost 19. Because back then I was VERY naive and shy. I refused to do what the rapist demanded sexually of me even under the threat of death ( I was being strangled on and off, almost to the point of unconscionsness for my refusal to do as he asked). I was raped and beaten because I refused to do what he wanted. He wanted to kill me afterwards so there would be no witnesses as he said he didn't want to go to prison, but I talked him out of it. I might add that I prayed earnestly to God to deliver me from his hands and suddenly his violent nature begin to soften and he later actually apologized for what he did to me and released me and said to not go to the police. I never hated black men for what he did though. But he did give me a bad disease and the doctors said also I was terribly damged inside. I had to have major surgery and have my right ovary and fallopian tube removed. The left tube and ovary was badly damged by infection although I was treated right away with penicillans.. Before that I was extremely heatlhy.
Then My stepfather who was racist.( He belonged to the KKK) dispised me because I refused to take the morning after pill that would abort any pregnancy that might have resulted from the rape. He called me "white trash" and "rubbish" there after, and he always used disinfectant spray when I came out of the bathroom.
I sometimes wished for death and sometimes I did think of suicide.
I was very sad all the time. I hardly ate due to depression and was down to 86 pounds.
I was sick and in pain all the time. Later I met my soon to be husband. A Chinese from Vietnam. He was very kind to me and alarmed that anyone in America would be so thin. He said the day he first saw me, when I was applying for a job where he worked. He knew I would be his wife. He loves Children having had 14 brothers and sisters.(only eight survived). My husband to be, wanted lots of children but the doctor did tests and said I was totally sterile.
I released my husband from our engagement vows so he could marry someone who could give him children, but he did not want to be released. He insisted that somehow it would work out that I could have children or that we would adopt.
I prayed to God every day that if he gave me just one child that I would teach he or she morals and his ways.
Then over a year after being married I concieved. I lost two children and had two. A son and a daughter. I kept my promise to God and my children were raised with morals and to fear God. My daughter is 20 now and very beautiful. She looks Hawaiian. She doesn't dress provacatively at all. She has even been accused of dressing like an old lady. She never curses and doesn't drink, smoke or date and plans to remain a virgin until God finds her a lifetime mate. My 14 year old son is the same way. They love all races. If anyone says anything negatively about another race, like in a joke, they just stand there non smiling while others laugh. I have heard them reply to racist comments or jokes where others have laughed at it ."Well, how very amusing,- for YOU." .
They have witnessed racism also though. My son was at the park on the swing once and he said a black preteen-boy jumped on the swing next to him and said,"Hi, you ugly Mexican".
I have had white people refer to my children as "Mexicans", "Chinks" or Gooks".
Actually alot of the racist remarks towards my kids have come from black and white people.
I don't know why, but that's how it was in my case in our area.
On the other hand I have met quite a few Arabs here and they will often ask about my kids racial heritage but they do it out of curiosity and never seemed judgemental towards us.
The Muslim family from Iran that owns the gas station near our house are very friendly to us and they like my husband alot. They know he's very honest and they often try and give him credit for things. Telling him he can pay later as they trust him. But, he always insists on paying right away.
They do seemed surprised that my husband and I were married 21( going on 22 years.) I think due to television many people have the impression that American girls can't wait to get sexually active.
I have relatives that were married 50 years. My husbands parents were married 60 years. Unfortunately that might be the case soon about young people being so sexually active now days. Many American children aren't being raised to respect,fear or even beleive in God. And it's the worst mistake a parent could make.
God will reap what they have sown on their own heads. I am seeing this every day.
But, I also know parents who ARE raising thier kids to respect and fear God.
I don't hate black men because of what happened to me. I know there are millions of decent black men who would never do what that man did to me.
I was recently told that it will cost over $40.000 to do more repair on the extensive internal damage that was done to me 27 years ago, as I am having more complications. Sometimes I am in a lot of pain and I was told it might end my life a little early, if I don't have the surgery, which I do not have the money for, and have no health insurance, since they won't give me any due to my medical problems, but prayer helps me get through the pain.
God is ever merciful to me.
I don't hate any black person due to what happened to me or any Arab, or Muslim because of 9-11. Even if one should want to kill me ( like Bin Ladin or something.) I still wouldn't hate them.
I might be dead, but I wouldn't go to my death hating the hand that did it.
Even though I'd hope I wouldn't go to my death that way.
I was kind of hoping I could make it to be a little old lady that goes to sleep one night after saying her prayers and doesn't wake up. Only God knows if it will be that way.
I realized a long time ago that to hate a race is to hate the hand of God who created them. And I fear him too much to dare do that.
I admit though that sometimes little predjudices try to slip in now and then and I have to pray about it. I Do beleive Satan is behind the hatred of races. Satan hates ALL races because they are from God and he hates anything God created. He hates God period.

Concerning how the different races came to be.
I was with the understanding that when God created Eve, he put in her the ability to carry and pass on the seed and gene pool of all the races of mankind, to be passed down through her decendants.
That Satan had no hand in determining any outcome of any race, as Satan was created by God(as an angel of light until he rebelled and sinned and became the prince of darkness and evil) and God never gave him that power over ANY creation or evolution of different races through the genes.
Satan had no hand in ANY thing to do with races evolving throughout mankind. To give him ANY credit for having anything to do with racial outcomes in any way, shape or form would be to limit Gods almighty power and to put Satan on equal and competive standing and power with God. When there is no equal or competition to God.
Satan had no hand or decision, over who was what color or race. Only God did, therefore no race could have evolved or come to be that race through any evil association with Satan.
To beleive so would be to give Satan credit and power for what God has created.
Since I believe that God is responsible for the creation of all the races on earth. I cannot consider any race "Of the devil".
I do consider that anyone who doesn't fear and respect and obey God is probably in cahoots with the devil. Whether they realize it or not.
That is my belief.
I hope I didn't offend anyone with some of the more personal parts of my post or my beliefs on how the different races came to be but that's my opinion.

The people who say that the religion of islam has no discrimination are totally wrong and have never read the Quran.

In the Quran it is well precised that Muhammad had slaves, one of them was a black man. This means that the so-called prophet found it very good to have slaves working for him. What a shame!! Jesus of course had no slaves.

Moreover the quran says that " the runaway slaves are the most despised people by allah and that they are not worthy to draw allah's attention".

It is not something unusual if Mic. has joined Islam, because Islam is light, if it touches you, you see the righteousness. So it is nothing.

I've just been reading this info and it's very intriguing to me. A year ago this month, I was traveling Kenya alone and I found myself, a Catholic female, amonst many devouted Muslim men and women. I engaged in their practises, especially Holy Ramadahn as well as took active part in 'cleanliness' (hopefully you know what I;m referring to)...I felt so moved by the acts of frequent generosity and truthfulness...I came back home to Canada and quickly researched Islam. I'm not sure of NOI but I do think that perhaps I'm not educated enough in my own religion or Islam or any other to formulate the 'proper answer or choice'. My dad was 'worried for my salvation' when I discussed converting but then he said not too worry and just let the religion whatever it may be (Islam, Christianity, etc) find me. I find myseld stressing over 'right and wrong' in religion and my heart is losing faith and interest that the 'right one' exisits. Please pray for me that I will be enlightened.

Hi, im a 17yr old muslim girl from South Africa. Im not black, and Im not white either. But at the end of the day wot difference does it make? I have been a muslim for many years, and I proudly say that I'm not anymore. But wanted to discuss a few things. I would be happy if any of the Islam expert could answer what I couldnt resovle to myself when I was trying to convince myself as a Muslim.

1-Islam is a religion of torture, fear and violance. In the Koran, you can see tens of places that (soposedly) God easily saying: "Kill those who do not believe in God", and "Kill the enemies of God". Is this the right way of advertising an ideaology that is supposed to free the souls of the poeple and save their lives? Additionally, if you look at the history of Islam, most of the nations that are known to be isalamic are those defeated through a war, and the invading islamic nations imposed Isalm to them. This is true about Iran, Egept, Turkey, many African countries, Asian Muslim countries and so on.

2- There is no way that anyone can say there is meaning of equality in Islam. Men and women are not equal, muslims and non-muslims are not equal. There is no freedom. If you are a Muslim, and your mind changes and you choose to exit, you are puniched to die. If you are a non-muslim in an islamic nation, you need to pay special taxes because you are not a muslim (This is in the original Islam but not in practice now).

I'm no expert in Islam, but I'll try to respond to volcano's post. You have some grave misconceptions about Islam.

1. Life is sacred in Islam; it is a religion that promotes peace, not violence or torture.
"We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land- it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind."
Surah 5 Al Ma'idah. Verse 32
A hadith of the Prophet (PBUH) "The most hated persons to Allah are:... a person who seeks to shed somebodys blood without any right"

2. Equality in Islam:
"
Allah (S.W.T.) says in surat Al-Hujurat, (verse 13), what be translated as,
"O Mankind! We have created you from a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you in the sight of Allah is he who has most taqwa (Piety) among of you. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware."
With this verse, Islam declares equality among people, that is because Islam respect a human for being a human not for any other reason; Islam dose not distinguish between two races, or two groups of people, or between two colors, and the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) addressed the people signifying that concept during the last pilgrimage, saying: "O People! Your God is one; your father is one; no preference of an Arab neither over non-Arab nor of a non-Arab over an Arab or red over black or black over red except for the most righteous. Verily the most honored of you is the most righteous."

I just wanted to remind muslims that we should not fear to uncover falsehood and if we see someone going astray so it is our duty to correct them!
Only those who obey Allah (SWT) and His LAST prophet AND messenger Muhammed (SAW) will go Jannah (Paradise). And the example of the prophet is on the hadiths book (Al Bukharee, Muslim...) so if you don't rely on them and the Qu'ran so you should review your faith!
I really doubt that NOI members do!! And if so, they should realise that they fall under the name of SECT and not ISLAM!

The color of one's skin has suddenly become relevant to religion. Muslim activists have been trying to convince African American citizens that Islam is the religion of the Black man, that Islam is African and that Mohammed was Black. Needless to say, Muslims only make these claims to Blacks; among Whites they take a different approach!

Knowing that these are well thought-out falsifications, intended only to draw Blacks towards Islam, I felt compelled to set the facts straight. Nothing in this article is meant to lend approval to this racial approach. If we are to accept or reject Islam, it should be based on Islam's own merits, rather than color or origin.

Africa was not the Cradle of Islam

Islam was born in the 7th century, in the Arabian Peninsula, which is part of the continent of Asia. Yellow Asia and Black Africa are separated by the Red Sea. Here, we are talking about two different continents and two different peoples.

Islam went to Africa relatively recently, and is not the predominant religion there. African Americans were most likely either Christians or Animists at the time they were brought to America.

Christianity has been present in Africa since the first half of the first century. St. Mark, the writer of the Gospel of Mark was a North African Jew who preached the Gospel to Egypt. From there, Christianity spread all over North Africa, and to the south of Egypt's borders. The Eastern church raised to the level of sainthood many Africans, St. Moses the Black from Egypt and St. Tekla Himanote the Ethiopian and others.

One of the teachers and prophets in the early church, Simeon, was an African from Niger in west Africa (Acts 13:1)

Eastern Africa was converted to Christianity through the ministry of a cabinet member of Queen Candace of Ethiopia who was baptized by St. Philip, one of the seven deacons in the early church (Acts 8:26 - 40).

Mohammed was not a Black Man

Mohammed was an Asian-Arab. You can't confuse an Asian-Arab with a Black- African. There are numerous evidences that Mohammed was actually white. The space limitation will allow us to mention only a few:

In Sahih Al Bukhary vol. 1 no. 63, we read "while we were sitting with the Prophet, a man came and said, 'who amongst you is Mohammed?' We replied, 'this white man reclining on his arm..."

In volume 2 Hadith no. 122 refers to Mohammed as a "white person" and in vol. 2 Hadith no. 141 we are told that when Mohammed raised his arms, "the whiteness of his armpits became visible."

Mohammed Owned Black Slaves

Mohammed owned several black slaves. Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya relies heavily on the prophet's biographies written by great ancient scholars. Therefore, he is regarded by Muslims as an authority, a primary source and a leader among the students of Islamic religion. This scholar tells us in his book, "Zad al-Ma'ad" (part 1, pp. 114-116), the following:

"These are the names of Muhammad's male slaves: Yakan Abu Sharh, Aflah, 'Ubayd, Dhakwan, Tahman, Mirwan, Hunayn, Sanad, Fadala Yamamin, Anjasha al-Hadi, Mad'am, Karkara, Abu Rafi', Thawban, Ab Kabsha, Salih, Rabah, Yara Nubyan, Fadila, Waqid, Mabur, Abu Waqid, Kasam, Abu' Ayb, Abu Muwayhiba, Zayd Ibn Haritha, and also a black slave called Mahran."

Even in modern times, in Saudi Arabia the homeland of Islam, the common word for "Black" is "Abd" meaning slave.

What was Mohammed's position on freeing the slaves?

In one instance , a man freed a slave that he kept as a sexual partner. When Mohammed heard what happened, he auctioned the boy and sold him for 800 derhams to Na-eem Ebn Abdullah Al- Nahham. (Sahih Moslem vol. 7, page 83)

According to Mohammed, the punishment for committing adultery is different between a free man, a free woman and a slave-woman. The man is to be flogged one-hundred stripes and be exiled for one year. The free woman must be stoned to death. But the slave-woman (since she has a monetary value) will not be exiled or killed, she is to be flogged one-hundred stripes. If the violation is repeated, the slave-woman is to be sold.(Sahih Al Bukhary vol. 8:821 & 822)

Islam Looked Down on Blacks

Islam is a religion, whose sacred Scriptures contain explicit denigrating remarks about Black people.

Mohammed referred to Blacks as "raisin heads". (Sahih Al Bukhary vol. 1, no. 662 and vol. 9, no. 256).

In another Hadith, Mohammed is quoted as saying that Blacks are, "pug-nosed slaves". (Sahih Moslem vol. 9 pages 46 and 47).

Islam is not the Haven of Freedom and Equality

Even if we wrongly assume that Islam started in Africa and that its Prophet was a black man, this still wouldn't in itself be a good reason for Blacks to adopt Islam. Nor would it be a good reason for Whites to adopt Islam just because Mohammed was white. We have to look at Islam itself.

I wouldn't want to be a Muslim because Islam is anti freedom, which is one issue so close to the hearts and minds of African Americans, considering the inequities they have suffered in their past.

One thing Islam does not believe in is freedom of religion. If Islam takes over America there wouldn't be a choice of religion. The Quran states: "If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; and in the hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost".(Surah 3:85)

Many of the teachings of Islam are incompatible with progress. Neither are they compatible with human rights, civil rights or constitutional rights.

Here are a few examples of the teachings of Islam:

Men are superior to women. (Surah 2:22
Women have half the rights of men:
In court witness. (Surah 2:282)
In inheritance. (Surah 4:11)
A man may beat his wife. (Surah 4:34)
A man may marry up to four wives at the same time (Surah 4:3)
Muslims must fight until their opponents submit to Islam. (Surah 9:29)
A Muslim must not take a Jew or a Christian for a friend.(Surah 5:51)
A Muslim apostate must be killed.(Surah 9:12)
Stealing is punished by the amputation of the hands. (Surah 5:3
Adultery is punished by public flogging. (Surah 24:2)
No separation between Church and State. (Surah 2:193)
No opposition party allowed. (Surah 4:59)

My fellow African-American:

Muslims don't care for your skin color, they are only using that to gain control over you. For if Muslims really care for Africans, why are African Muslims kidnapping their African Christian brothers these days in Sudan, butchering the weak and selling the healthy as slaves?

I only object to Muslims who try to convert African-Americans with false information, like that all Blacks were Muslims in Africa. Example: If in your work place, you have a guideline which tells you that you have to wear black, but then your boss realise that many of his employees wear dark brown. He, the boss, will change the rules and give you new rules to wear white!

It doesn't really matter what our ancestors were worshipping. YOU have free will, to obey or disobey Allah. So I don't really care that my parents or grand and great parent were christians... I have free will and I decided to obey Allah.
