How Low Can You Go?
I guess I'm just naive, but it truly shocks me that right-wingers are shameless enough (as documented by atrios) to make an issue of the fact that Howard Dean's wife and kids are Jewish.

Big ups to Dean for marrying a Jewish woman. It's about time Jews and Christians start getting together and making babies... ooh I forgot... Jesus was a celibate Jew... or was he???? I'm a celibate Christian who loves Jews... does that make me a Jesus?
Here is the orginal not-so-offensive-article (acutally quite interesting)...

I tried to read all the comments on the link before posting a comment of my own on here, but being that I am Jewish it made me sick to my stomach. I can't believe that we (not only Jews, but we as a human race) in 2004 still have to deal with this kind of hatred and ignorance. It is absolutely pathetic!!!
flygirl... are you upset because Cal Thomas is questioning the religion of Judaism? or is it because he appears anti-Jewish? He certainly has problems with Judaism, but I don't see any derogatory remarks against Jewish people.
If anything, it seems Cal is criticizing Congregationalists more than any other group. And it might be worth noting that Congregationalists often welcome these sorts of debates. I once asked my Congregationalist minister if god exists. "I don't know," was his reply. I never went to church again.
Eric,
To be honest, I didn't see the link for the article so I haven't read it. My being upset really has nothing to do with Cal Thomas questioning the Jewish religion. I am upset because the message board that I found on the link posted by Jay Smooth is filled with people spewing their hatred for jews.
