Cheney out, Fratello in.
At the very least, Isiah sure is making things interesting. I was assuming he'd take that job for himself next year, but scoring a big name like Fratello makes me wonder.
Whatever let's just get that Rasheed Wallace deal done (and no thanks on Darius Miles).
EDIT: Chaney out, Fratello out before he got in, Wilkens in. Knicks still suck.

Fratello came out this afternoon and said "I have no formal plans at this time to leave my current position" or something. Which Mike Francesa summed up correctly on WFAN as "I have no contract at this exact moment".
Fascinating, the way Chaney is getting slammed.

Oh he was a terrible coach, but by all accounts he's a nice guy and deserved to get treated with more respect than he got today.
He had to wake up in the morning and read on the cover of the newspaper that he was fired, but not getting any communication from his bosses.. so he had to come in to work and put his team through morning practice, look like a fool telling interviewers he hasn't heard anything and expects to be coaching tonite, then get escorted out of the building at 5pm.
Isiah should have had enough courtesy to take Don aside yesterday and tell him what's up. At least call him first thing in the morning.
