What They Call Black People in Russia
At houstonsoreal we learned that Willie D of the Geto Boyz has been living part-time in Azerbaijan of all places. But when asked about visiting Russia, Willie had some some strong words:

Naw I ain’t going to that motherf**ker. They still call black people “n*gger” in Russia. It’s not even supposed to be a disrespectful term. They just took “n*gger” off of black Russians drivers licenses and s**t. But when the little kids got killed in the school in Russia by those Chechens, Putin, the president of Russia, said “We have x amount of Russian children killed and one n*gger.” The president! The f**king president said this s**t man! They have black Russians, not a lot, but some black Russians in Azerbaijan. Just a few. S**t the whole country don’t have but ten blacks and I brought three with me
Uh oh. I am of Russian ancestry on my mom's side, technically making me a Black Russian. Could it be that my people are really playing me out like that?? In order to get to the bottom of this I consulted with Vera, my contact in Moscow. Here's how she broke it down:
the Russian term "negr" = negro not nigger. it took me a while to understand that & not cringe when i heard that word, but it's true. black people (from Africa) here actually get offended if you call them black ("chernyye"). the term black is usually referred to people from the Caucuses (like Azerbaijan), Chechens are referred to as blacks as well. so the term "negr" for African black people is quite PC.
Ahh yes, that makes much more sense. Somebody pass this on to Willie!

Actually, I heard that Russia is a very dangerous place for blacks.
My friend said that black people would be attacked in the streets and set on fire (no joke), and they're scared to walk in the streets at night, even in groups. And the police won't arrest anyone involved in the crimes.

There was no Martin Luther King in Russia, no Black Panthers, etc. Certain revolutions you take for granted never took place in a country spanning twelve timezones. You automatically assume the situation there will be the same as in the US, but that simply is not the case, learn to live with it and don't call it racism.

Racism needs to be dealt with~ Europe is a little behind the times with racism. And it'll get fixed (hopefully) but to say to live ith with and deal with it is bullshit... we need to speak up and fight racism.. Europe didn't have the revolution that the us had so they will take a little longer... we should set a damn example and not let racist thought and hatefull feelings be a part of us...

Yo man, why the fuck would anyone want to go to Russia? Especially if your black. It is like 80 degrees below zero 300 days a year and they hate foreigners anyway. If you have other options to visit, dont even consider Russia in your plans. I never been there and dont want to go there EVER!
