So I see that's his daily living!!
That's D-Nice, the 808-- make no mistake. It's wonderful to know that one of my rap heroes of yesteryear is doing fine. If he can survive Lawrence K. Parker (and that guided-missile of a last verse allegedly directed towards him from the Blastmaster's "We In There" remix [my style comes from KRS/ yours come from Treach!] a decade ago), then Brother Derrick will be good to go.
Question-- on D-Nice's first album, he had a New Jack Swing-type song called "It's Over Now," and the singing credit (on the chorus or hook) was given to a Dawnn Lewis, if I could remember. I wonder if that singer and the actress from "A Different World" and "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" are one and the same.

I loved that track... haven't found a D-Nice disc anywhere, unfortunately. should look him up on iTunes, since I don't have the cassette (or a cassette player) anymore...
