repubs need to understand that society is made up of people that have and don't have and you need to have supports so that everybody has the chance to reach for their goals. u don't have to do everything for people (a popular attack line of repubs) but you need to have a society that allows for real opportunities to develop for EVERYBODY or you get situations like what's happening right now in France.
I honestly think most children would do a better and more honest job than Bush is doing...

let's face it. the street hustle is republican to core. either get on the grind or starve. why would anyone who's survived that no-trickle down economics turn around be a democratic poster child?

Ok, first of all, 50, you're breaking my heart. just saw him in concert, he's amazing. in response to why he'd turn around and be a Democratic poster child:
He would do so exactly because of the experiences he's had. The Republican Party has consistently shown that they don't believe in equalizing opportunities (as someone intelligent pointed out above!). They lower taxes on the rich and think it's up to you to make your own way. Frankly, i've never seen a President with less cultural knowledge. He had been to 3 countries before becoming President. He once asked the Brazilian President if he had a lot of blacks in his country, cause we have a lot of blacks in the US. what kind of a question is that?
the reason 50 cent should not be supporting Bush is because Bush has showed very little of the compassion in the Compassionate Conservatism he proclaims to be pushing. Sure, it's a tough job, and it'd be hard for anyone. Gotta agree with 50 there. But I'm white, and I have to agree with Kanye somewhat as well (but less emphatically, i don't think Bush hates blacks or something): Bush has showed little empathy for the plights of racial or fiscal inequities. there are plenty of good Republicans i'm sure, but Bush is not one (he may be a good person, i don't know him, but his actions as President are not good). I'm pleased to see that 50 has empathy for those in difficult positions, but I do wish that he would more carefully evaluate George Bush's impact on the world and his country. Where are the programs for children like 50 who were in ghettos and in need? Where is the money that should be going to people like him, like other amazing rappers who had really difficult childhoods marked by shootings and lack of food or job? Being handed back to the rich, or being spent on cleaning up disasters that should have been more carefully handled. In my opinion, he's cost Americans a lot of money and showed little true care for them in his inattentive actions (like putting an unqualified friend in charge of FEMA - great, good job protecting the safety of the nation). There's a point where you have to say 'yes, you may be a nice guy in a tough spot, but you're messing a lot of things up, so please step down.' That's the place where a lot of Americans are getting to now. I hope 50 cent begins to feel the same.
