November 08, 2005German Kid RappingHe's no match for that lil homey who rocked German Star Search a while back, but for some reason this kid fascinates me. Ich bin ein hustla, homey. Posted by jsmooth995 at November 8, 2005 05:49 PMComments
hahaha funny stuff Posted by: dannyboi at November 8, 2005 07:34 PM i wonder what he was sayin.N-E WAYZ that beat was hot. it was funny though.
Posted by: guess at November 8, 2005 10:04 PM he's basically just saying your mother this, your mother that - oh, and of course "i'm gonna kick your ass" to the ever-imaginary duel partner on the other side of the camera. all that on top of a song called "ganxtaville" (a big commercial hit some two years ago) with a memorable chorus roughly translating to "do me a favour and stay gangsta"... you may think it's funny, but german gangsta rap (sounds hilarious, i admit) is really selling a lot these days - and destroying even the smallest bit of credibility rap music might have had over there on the side. Posted by: mister t. at November 9, 2005 12:46 AM Thanks for the breakdown, mister t.. we had a German producer emcee named Shuko on the radio show a while back, he was telling about the scene out there.. Posted by: Jay Smooth at November 9, 2005 01:04 AM Shuko is ill. The 2 beats he made for Outerspace - blood and ashes are excellent. Posted by: Etnas Griffen at November 12, 2005 12:45 AM Im not german but i lived 8 years in germany. I listen to both english (american) n german rap n i hav to say that german rap is a lot better. Unlike american rap they talk bout other things bsides sex, drugs, n how hard thier lives are. Go to http://www.montanamax.de/ to hear the best rap ever. If you understand german you will c that montanamax, mixchris, shiml and all them are lyrical, not just bs gangsta rap. But if you dont understand german you can still appreciate the amazing beats. Posted by: amoc at November 16, 2005 04:39 PM muddafuck german rap if it by white pussys Posted by: mc g string at November 18, 2005 02:28 PM I'm with amoc. Germans are coming out with some amazing shit. When I lived in Berlin, I listened to some of the best new-hip-hop I've ever heard. The French too. There's an entire generation of lower-middle class white kids and immigrant kids in Europe from Turkey and Africa who are feeling the same things the Black community was feeling in the states in the 70s and 80s. And they're reacting in the same way we did. Look at Disiz La Peste (his newest album, The Extrodinary Stories of a Youthin the Banlieue, is fucking amazing) and Lumeur in France. And Eko Fresh and Savas Yurderi (both German-born Turks). These kids have amazing lyrical skills. And as far as them rapping in other languages - French especially lends itself to rap becuase of the repeated endings on nouns and verbs. Like Spanish, Portuguese and Italian it's a language made for music and rhyme. As American Hip-Hop becomes more and more commericialized and bland, I think a lot of people are gonna have to turn to foreign artists to get the feeling we got from NWA. Posted by: tubbs at November 20, 2005 03:51 PM S-A-V is the best german rapper ever!! Berlin --- Frankfurt ist die Macht. Savas du bist der King. Posted by: the truth at November 28, 2005 11:52 AM Jjust had to comment on the above comment white 'pussies' trana rap. Are you stupid, Eminem made it. I rest my case. It doesn't matter about colour its the skill that counts. Some people are so shallow minded and RACIST. I'm black and I think its discusting the way white people are critisized for what...being white hahahahaha. I know some black people think this is one of the only things they still got to themselves (and trust me some people do) but I just think its them getting carried away in the hype thinking there fighting for a just cause. Idiots. Learn to share because eventually everyone race is going to rapping and there gonna be good as well. Unforunatley if your dont speak english your probbably not going to make it as an international superstar but still.......your life is your life, go for your dreams while you still can.
