April 27, 2006Man Named Gravy Shot Outside Hot 97I heard about this last night and thought the details must be exaggerated, but it looks like this guy Gravy really did go upstairs for his moment to shine after getting shot. He was on with Saigon and Wes Jackson's friend Joell Ortiz.. Glad nobody was seriously hurt, but sad to know that in today's hip-hop game this'll become Gravy's gravy train, and we can now expect a major label debut with the recurring theme of "hit the studio with the bullet still in me!" This page has video of Gravy getting taken to the hospital, and here's the NY Post report. Posted by jsmooth995 at April 27, 2006 01:17 PM Comments
Gravy has been on the shelf for a minute now. Lucky him Posted by: Hashim Gravy is a not-so-good mixtape artist who will now get his big shot at the majors, pun intended. Posted by: BCTW at April 28, 2006 12:01 PM This shit is gettin' outta hand. Dude shows up with thirty people. No one hears anything about a skirmish. Prior to today, I never heard of this dude. He's shot. Now his name's in the news. I hope these little dudes ain't gettin' themselves shot just so they can get a little shine. Ain't that what Killa Kam s'posed to had did? These little dudes gettin' cornier and cornier. I mean goddam, all you gotta do is roc the mic. Fuck is all this extra shit for? Damn. -Black People Posted by: Black People at April 28, 2006 05:00 PM this is reminding me of the sopranos story line where dude asks bobby to shoot him. SET UP. Posted by: Kwis at April 30, 2006 03:05 AM who the fuck is a Gravy?! & can't Snott 97 just be shut down?! these guys are ridiculous...i hate that they represent hip-hop to the masses. i agree, seems like a big set up. getting shot is the best promo for these "rappers". BULLSHIT! Posted by: WonTon at May 1, 2006 01:21 PM All of this type of BS will eventually force (c)rap music to implode. Posted by: P-Matik at May 1, 2006 05:04 PM gravys a class rapper ya retard if u dont know dont write bout it nigga hes dun a few tunes with d block about g unit might b conected yeaaaaaaaaa fukn war lets go Posted by: eddie boy at May 5, 2006 10:04 PM gRAVY IS DA MAN SO SHUT UR MOUTH HE IS EXPRESSIN DA HARSH REALITIES HE IS WITNESSIN AND EXPERIENCIN IN THE HOOD ON A BEAT THATS WHAT HE IS DOIN PEOPLE DO ANYTHING 2 SURVIVE OUT THERE.GRAVY IS DOIN WHAT HE GOTS TO DO N YA HE GOT SHOT N HE IS STYLL LIVIN WHICH MEANS HE STYLL GOTTA DO WHAT HE HAS 2 DO 2 SURVIVE Posted by: NOTE at May 14, 2006 11:53 PM gRAVY IS DA MAN SO SHUT UR MOUTH HE IS EXPRESSIN DA HARSH REALITIES HE IS WITNESSIN AND EXPERIENCIN IN THE HOOD ON A BEAT THATS WHAT HE IS DOIN PEOPLE DO ANYTHING 2 SURVIVE OUT THERE.GRAVY IS DOIN WHAT HE GOTS TO DO N YA HE GOT SHOT N HE IS STYLL LIVIN WHICH MEANS HE STYLL GOTTA DO WHAT HE HAS 2 DO 2 SURVIVE Posted by: NOTE at May 14, 2006 11:53 PM I understand that rappers may capitalize off the promotion of being shot, but set it up themselves? I don't think it's that simple. People think rappers are stupid enough to trust the aim of a fellow hommie(I guess so), but hardly any of them are marksmen. Some are hits(contract killings) some are Jackings(robbery). But somtimes a rappers kids himself into thinkin he can be all in the hood where people are doing worst than you think, wearing jewls around (starving or not)criminals. lots of people want to destroy what they can't have, so the're lookin for a reason to shoot, rob,or beat the ass of anyone they have heard talk shiz. rappers face the same problems local drug dealer faces. In some ways, the hood made them rich, and gave lots of them an education from the street, but any monster you create can turn it's fury on you. As far as Gravy, his gunshot had to hurt nomatter if he went upstairs for his interview anyway or not. He just showed how hungry he really is. so stop with the f....... he got somone to shoot him shit. That Sopranos shiz was another example of how they play almost every african out on that show, except Bokeem woodbine(but they still had him dressed lik a clownpimp. Anyway, bullets tear up things that will never be the same. so wise up yall, hellavision has got the world f..... up.Don't belive everything on tv. Sonny Posted by: Sonny at June 28, 2006 11:55 AM gravy spits fire no doubt, i've heard him on few tapes and he got skill, as for him getting shoot im hearing from people that Maino shoot him, maino is also underground Posted by: waraveli at August 11, 2006 06:40 PM |
