May 11, 2006Ghost Writer Needed for Black FictionOn philly's craigslist, any guesses who this is for? Serious Ghost Writer NeededPosted by jsmooth995 at May 11, 2006 02:28 AM Comments
I'm curious, too. That's not much in the way of compensation. Posted by: chr0me_kitten at May 11, 2006 08:51 AM no idea who that is for since i'm generally averse to "fiction" but i do know that compensation is bs! Posted by: jb at May 11, 2006 10:16 AM I dont believe you, now authors have ghost writers???? First rappers now this, who's next? Posted by: Creem at May 11, 2006 11:12 AM I dunno but they've been advertising it for a year now. I actually sent an email when I was reallyreallyreally broke and they didn't even write back, the bums. Posted by: anne at May 11, 2006 01:28 PM Jsmooth. I'm ur girl. How ya gonna be white and write black? That is just plain presumptuous. Holla bak if you still need a best seller. Posted by: Licia at May 11, 2006 09:55 PM Can anybody help me outI do not have a college degree in anything i just want to write/ghost.I have a book of hits,no beats just writen heat. Posted by: Scott Free at May 18, 2006 12:11 PM This is a scam! This person responded to me with some crappy excerpts from their book asking me to prove myself by rewriting that shit! I didn't even respond. They wouldn't even reveal their identity. A word of caution, there are some evil people out there who get a bunch of writers to submit samples (via rewriting excerpts of their book, website, article, you name it) and then use the work submitted to improve their novel, website, article etc for free. Don't fall for it. If you provide samples, that should be sufficient. Please excuse the profanity, but this type of stuff just pisses me off! www.beverlyaarons.com Posted by: Beverly at June 1, 2006 11:18 AM I appreciate that Beverly. Nothing like preying on someone's passions. Thank you so much. I'll just do my own thing like I started and give it to God to get it in the right hands. You can't just hand your baby over to anyone. Right?? Thanks again and good luck on your novel or writing endeavors. Posted by: Licia at June 2, 2006 12:37 PM This is to Beverly and to all the above. Please read. 1st. it is not a scam! As you speak online, so can I. Note Don't hate the player, hate the game! Posted by: GW at June 2, 2006 08:47 PM I just want you all to know the posting is closed and we have a GW. He is a white male. His pay is $9,500.00 for 2 months of work! For all the foul and salty applicants, don't listen to people like Beverly. She is just salty because she got rejected. Apply for jobs. If you get it, then great, if not go to the next. The sample which was given was 3 pages from the galley. All 300 applicants got the same sample. Question, how the hell can one write a novel from three pages? Frankly stated, it can't be done. Until the next time, keep on looking for a GW project. There is more to come! Take care Posted by: GW at June 2, 2006 09:19 PM That sounds sooo coolll !!!! I love the idea!!!! Posted by: chareen Ibraheem at June 27, 2006 03:35 AM That sounds like something I would do!!!! Posted by: chareen Ibraheem at June 27, 2006 03:36 AM I don't have a degree. I have hella skills though. 27yr. old black female that can spit. Compose poetry and starting on a book called the days of my life. I want to ghostwrite because I don't want to be in the lime light, but still tring to make some bread. I have alot of people that want me to perform I will if I must but I want to just write. If your looking for a ghostwriter for hiphop, or wahtever drop me an email holla Posted by: Nikki at July 10, 2006 04:50 AM Hi, Posted by: Sultry at October 18, 2006 09:51 PM Screw 'EM rip off work for hire deals most of them are no talent conivers playing themselves even rednecks wouldn;t taken the jobs at those rates. Its a laugh as I solicit RPFs from all sides of the deal as publsihers, producer, editor and writer. Let those a'holes write their own scripts speeches and watch them bumble (editing rates are at least 5 times higher). They can swing as many deals as they like, but have them try speaking intelligently first. Hey how about this write me a no-budget scripts I can produce on a budget (go figure). BTW
WANTED FINISHED POETRY MANUSCRIPTS FOR PRINT PUBLICATION Andrew Stergiou WANTED FINISHED POETRY Book MANUSCRIPTS FOR PRINT PUBLICATION So you want to be a published writer? Good Luck! Listen first I am a publisher I don't even want to look at writers let alone writers that don't follow simple instructions!! (I get stressed without your BS). (WARNING so don't bother me and play your stupid head games show respect and wear a suit or something. I am not your momma nor babysitter so watch it.) (I) 1. A fairly well written manuscript or more of interesting material that doesn't need editing, or if editing is needed it doesn't become a problem. 2. I print and have the resources to print produce and video so keep that in mind and make complete presentations (if you don't know what you want and/or are timid it goes no where I don't have time for that [I have other projects]) 3. First Check out self-publishing costs, books on demand, and the vanity press companies if you want to research thisn and annoy someone I am ready to make a deal. 1. WANTED FINISHED or FAIRLY FINIESHED POETRY Book MANUSCRIPTS FOR PRINT PUBLICATION APPRXIMATELY 5.5"x8.5" format 40-80 pages 12point font 2. There are contractual obligations as this is not a hobby, and send a detailed resume so we know what cults criminal organizations etc police military you have belonged to, what education background you have etc what venues you worked relating to POETRY WRITING PERFORMANCE ART PSYCHO THERAPHY, incarceration, institutionalization etc medical problems any frigging thing And I put my money where my frigging mouth is namely I'd print publish, and produce you in performance at no cost to you if you can "make a deaaaaal" like Trump and Dylan say. Those with Snot nose arrogance Please take a hike I have little patience this is the job side to what I am doing (I JUST WORK HERE!) (III) 1. commercially a high royalty after costs in production pricing geared towards a mass market (authors with venues) Some of the figures related to Books on demand suggest retail prices of approx $10.95 80pp, $12.95 120pp, $15.95 which can be prohibitive to first time authors 2. Long term development and support Large Publishers take non-producing work out of print relatively quickly but often the retain rights so that access to your work is obstructed. 3. We pay the costs related to authors we are interested where as self-published authors require prohibitive outlays of cash that are expensive for the best rates affording commercial pricing. ~A~ Posted by: Andrew Zito at November 10, 2006 07:59 PM |
