I'm glad that Star offered an apology to the family. If there is anyway to bring him back to Power 105, I hope it happens soon. Hot 97 DJs make rude and offensive comments every day and their DJs are still on the air.

So let's get this straight.....man (Star) gets threatened by man (DJ Envy), so said man (Star) attacks the wife and child of the other man. That's just stupid.

On another note, these two stations are both to blame for this whole fiasco. Star and Miss Jones have been getting away with this crap for a while and these stations encourage it.

I am a HUGE fan of Star and Buc Wild. I moved from Central Jersey to the Philly area, and thought I would never hear them again. I followed them from "The Sloppy Station Down the Dial", to Power 99 in Philly.
Plenty of times, Star says things on the air that your average person would find offensive. How many times have you heard about Star acting on these things?

This is stupid. I love the Star and Bucwild morning show. What am I going to listen to? Without this morning show I won't even tune into a station. I'll just pop-in a CD. I new something was up this morning when they just played songs all morning. This is bull! Bring Star Back!

As soon as Star made those comments I laughed, but I knew he went too far. I knew this was going to turn into another Aaliyah situation. I knew that Clear Channel might suspend him, but I never thought that they would actually fire him. I pray they bring that nigga back. He was all I had in the morning before going into that depressing job of mine.

Good for Star! He deserves everything he is getting right now! It might be entertainment but it is different when you talk about someone's child. What he should have did was kept DJ Envy's children out of it. All jokes aside you don't threaten people's children and then make a public announcement about it on the damn radio!

Nothing seems to surprise me on the Star and Bucwild Morning Show, especially when you are dealing with the emperor of hate. If I were in his shoes, I would take this opportunity to accomplish bigger and better things. Hell, do like Howard Stern and be a satellite radio DJ. Say whatever you want, do whatever you want, with no one to stop you. I would pay to listen to him.

I admire Star for having the ability to bring so many different types of talent onto his show. It's not everyday that you here about religion, sexuality and politics (on a hip-hop station) in the morning. I am disappointed that he chose such a wrong path in order to retaliate against Envy. At his age - he should've known better. How can someone with so much knowledge make such a ridiculous mistake? I will listen to him if he comes back onto the airwaves - but you have to draw the line somewhere.....I hope he learns from this and chooses his words carefully next time. But what is good for the goose should be good for the gander. The sloppy station needs to clean up their act as well. I guess I will have to listen to my CD's in the morning - I refuse to lend my ear anywhere near the narrow minded, needs to learn how to speak english, ignorant, and tasteless - Ms. retarded Jones show. Usually when a person becomes a mother - they are supposed to grow up - I guess that does not apply to everyone; no matter how old you are.

I am a faithful listener of Star & Bucwild in Philly on power99 fm. I am very upset that they are not on the air anymore... I was freaking out on my drive to work this morning. One day is ok...the next day, I'll survive. But, this is getting ridiculous. Bring Star back. Not to mention the many things other people say on the radio. This is such a hypocritical business. I'm not crazy about everything he says but at least he's honest. He's real and he's raw.

I listened to the show from Miami every morning since it aired.

There�s something you have to understand about business and the human mind. Star�s behavior throughout his career was not �real.� He was an actor banking on the only role that he felt got him the most attention and the most money.

It�s one thing to hear him rip on everyone and make jokes about every race. It was funny, at times clever and a nice break from all of the nose-in-the-air people you find around you every day.

But to have a grown man poke fun at a four year old and say such horrific things about what he would do to a four year old is absolutely disgusting.

The only difference between Star and the sexual predators in jail that think and say obscene things about young children is that Star has money and is followed by near-sighted fans.

Star will never be out of a job because Americans love controversy and the more negative attention you bring to yourself, the more famous you become. But I sincerely hope that the next time we hear from him, he will check himself before opening his mouth.

All of this support for Star is admirable but he's gonna be just fine with or without radio, considering he is still due to earn his complete annual salary of $5 million because of the way his contract was set up.
At the worst he will catch a misdemeanor, plead guilty and do like 10 hours of community service before another radio station offers him another job in a similar capacity.
As far as the comments go, of course they were inappropriate -- that's why he was hired - to be an inappropriate shock jock. His employers hired him to wild out like this. Now that he has they fire him. Star might have a wrongful termination suit vs. Emmis on his hands once the dust settles from this mess.

I was about to jump on the "it wasn't so bad" bandwagon until I read through the comments and saw the quoted text of what he said. This grown man was talking about a child. It is solidly over the line. He definitely needed to be fired for what he said. There was nothing funny about his "jokes". How is that entertaining? May he and R. Kelly both take a long walk off a short pier. I'm never listening to his sick show again.

I think everyone agrees that Star's comments regarding DJ Envy's child were inappropriate. But anyone who listens to the show on a regular basis knows he is an equal opportunity abuser. No group -- Asians, Hispanics, Negros; Homosexuals; Rich; Poor; Republican; Democrat; US citizens; non-citizens, etc. -- is off limits. So I don't understand what all of this noise is about.

If people are so highly-offended by Star's words, then they should share that sentiment for all forms of entertainment. If Star should go to get fired (or as some have suggested, go to jail) over his words about an alleged crime that he was going to perpetrate, then most rap artists should be thrown under the jail for all of the murders, shootings, beatings and drug dealing they say they are going to do (and have done) on their records.

Ironically, I haven't seen anyone write about what DJ Envy did to instigate this entire situation. And DJ Envy has been mighty quiet about all of this, putting his wife and some politician out there instead. If DJ Envy didn't want to heat to come down on him (and his family unfortunately) he should not have opened his mouth.

Having said that, there is no doubt that Star should been punished for his statements, and perhaps fined. But firing him . . . that's crazy. Now that Star & Bucwild is off the air I might as well listen to National Public Radio, because the rest of the morning shows -- local and syndicated -- are trash.

He did go over the line but suspension should have been enough. What was Envy saying to get this response from star? It looks this was a battle between to men. But keep in mind especially in New York, Miss Clones(As wendy williams calls her) is no threat to anybody on the radio, her time will come. The minute Envy's wife allerted the Ny Councilmen and put pressure to Clear Channel & Power 105, they dropped Star. Envy's wife has surely made her TV rounds these last few days. She�s been on local NYC TV stations, Bill O'Reilly (O�Reilly factor), Geraldo, and last night on "Inside City Hall" on NY1. I have to say, she is one hell of an actress. The tears, body jerking, crackling voice�At the end of it all, she can probably land a job as a (B) actress on some "made for cable movie".

But really, this whole reaction is about money. If a criminal prosecution proves successful, any civil action against Clear Channel and/or Star will bear that much more strength. By making her TV rounds, she's garnering public sympathy while distorting the public's perception of Star.

What boggles my senses is Councilman Liu's advocacy of the Caseys (Envy and Family).
Does anyone remember he also led the crusade against Ms. Jones/Envy during the Tsunami debacle (January, 2005)? Following Hot97's million dollar donation to the Tsunami victims, it was all good. Why isn't anyone calling Councilman Liu out on this? It seems to me this is a clear conflict of interest.

Why isn't anyone calling out the fact it was Jonesy's show that provoked the current unfortunate chain of events? Given, Star's rebuttal was totally inappropriate. But nonetheless, had Clear Channel not buckled and provided Star with some form of support (similar to what was provided to Jonesy by Hot97), other important details would have surfaced and Star wouldn't have been as vilified as he is now in the media.

Nonetheless, looking ahead�an apology was issued. Even though they fired Star, Clear Channel is still on the hook. Toss the Casey's the monetary bone they're looking for and let's move on and realize this whole debacle was blown way out of proportion.

Who cares about what he said to Envy's wife. Forget her ass. She's a grown woman who can defend herself. But we're talking about a four year old child that had nothing to do with anything. First, let me say that I agree CB and others who question why the transcript of DJ Envy's words has not been made public.

Second, BOTH parties have to take Responsibility and Accountability for their actions. Star- firing, fines, apology, and whatever else that may follow. But, what about ENVY? While I do not support any suggestion or act of child molestion/rape; the reality is that when people have a family(wife, kids, etc..)that, in and of itself, makes you more vulnerable, especially to current and potential enemies. Therefore, people like Envy should be even MORE careful not to provoke, instigate, or invite others in any kind of attack, be it verbal or physical.

Envy needs to take responsibility and accountability for HIS failure to exercise more prudent judgment instead of putting his family at risk to engage someone in a stupid, careless game. One never knows how far another will go, so why take the chance in the first place??

I'm sure not many of you are public school advocates, you don't get out on the front lines to show your support for children and advocate for their rights. There's been a bunch of uproar about what Star said but most of you don't go down to your local Family Services building and boycott the fact that they don't do their jobs so children are going hungry and living in unsafe environments. So, don't sit on your high horse about childrens safety. I'm a mother of three and I know enough and teach my children that radio is entertainment the same way I teach them that the actor in a Lifetime movie doesn't really molest kids in real life. Oh and for the record...I volunteer at an agency that was set up specifically to ensure the safety of children. I'm not just talking...I actually live it.

Now, it�s possible that Star said all of this out of anger. Do I believe that he would have gone to the school and �skeet� on the face of a four-year-old? No of course not. But I can sympathize with Envy�s wife for fearing for the safety of her child because I would feel the same way.
Is Star intelligent? Yes. Is Star entertaining? Yes. But just because he is an entertainer that does not meant that the line between appropriate and inappropriate does not exist. I understand that some of you have been his fan for years. I only became a fan of his when the show came to Miami in January and I listened to the show from the moment the alarm came on in the morning to the moment I stepped out of my car and in to the office building. However, I did not laugh or find it funny or say �that�s the way Star is� when he made those comments. A person saying that they would like to spread mayonnaise on a 4-year-old�s asscrack and then take a bite is not funny.

And I�m 100% positive that the parents in this board rooting for Star and claiming that it was for entertainment purposes only are doing it for the sake of arguing and not because they actually feel that way. If you as a parent do not have a problem with someone threatening a sexual assault on your child (regardless of intent) then you really need to look into where your love lies�in yourself or in your children.

i love to listening to the whole star and buc,journey. I listen to these guys from when they were introduced by the sloppy station.In we hours of the night to morning radio. When Star gets a little to crazy for my thought process, I jazz out and then returned after he was done ranting. this time when he said what he said.
I felt it was reckless, but a termination was not called for. the anoying @!@#$%^ down the dial talk a lot of shit and gets away with it.WHY? the is big money behind the hummmmmmm (record Cmopanies)...Maybe........

Radio is definately not the same with out Star. My commute sucks. I not only enjoyed his comedy but his insight on serious issues. He is needed in radio. I'm tired of hearing rehersed comedy skits and shucking and jiving from these other clowns who's only qualification for being on the air is that have failed careers in the music industry. Now I don't agree with his statement but I do understand why he did it. I am from Philly and I listened to Star's show everyday!!! The radio is not the same anymore and I don't have a morning show to listen to so I just listen to CD's. I think it is crazy that he was fired. Words had been going back and forth and in all honesty- it was funny. There are so many other thins to be worried about besides this. Beside DJ Envy is corny!!! And Ms. Jones got fired from Philly for the crap she did,so you think she would have enough since not to continue the BS in NY.
