Peace

I would love to build with you Jay, you are right on point. I think that the release of the iphone and the impending mobile music revolution had a lot to do with this too. Digital music sales doubled in oh 6 and in the double oh 7 - the game is about to get nasty.

The RIAA and the Big Five just played themselves.

I have built a team, technology and strategy to free the game from the diabolical pimpin of the 10%.

Please contact me at your convenience.

Great commentary. Great editing.

Did you do your own editing?

And did you get permission from RZA's record label to ues that track? I think I'll have to report you to the RIAA!

going after mixtapes....
man thats fucked up!!
mixtapes as we know em is gonna change.
once again as i've said before greed is fuckin hiphop up.

Posted by: trusouth at January 21, 2007 01:52 AM

Oh, my goodness, are we on the same page or what? Love the vlog!!!!

Never mind that mixtapes are fueling the American economy, ignore the fact that half of these record labels send music to DJ's, or that Artists stop by DJs' studios, homes offices and record the drops an shout out the DJ's name (Where I come from, that's called consent) or last but not least, that mixtape DJ's are responsible for bringing back dead artist and revitalize careers!

When will it end people? Are all the DJ's going to have to "get signed" in order to do a mixtape? If that happens, that shit is gonna get real old, real fast.

Hmmmh?!? An Atlantic Mixtape???? I mean for real who's going to buy a mixtape with Timbaland, Bjork & Zero 7, now I'm not saying it won't be great, but how likely is it that it'll sell a million copies like the lil Wayne mixtape????

"Stacey Elgin is a counterfeit journalist." Ouch! I love the vlogs, they're crack and I need more already. But can egotrip's (white) rapper show do a benefit for you so that you can get a stylist and like, a painting or something for the hallway? I got $5 for you, man!

Posted by: Jeff at January 21, 2007 08:35 PM

u hit it on the head again jay
big ups!

Posted by: budgie at January 22, 2007 09:26 AM

Well I am attempting to move to www.linkwizard.net from Link-Vault and let me tell you link-vault been a bloody headache. Nothing pisses me off more than wasting my time which is exactly what this is doing.

The damn links are showing up right on the page yet it says failed everytime.

Even better is there is no one on their support forum...
With linkwizard.net i have nothing of this.
Good support, and my links are within content of other sites!

If it wasn't for mixtapes a lot of these artist wound not even be where they are at now.The mixtape game is big and has been for sometime now everybody that give's a fuck about the mixtape game need to make a stand, and we as people need to do something about it.I say "don't buy anymore music until they bring the mixtapes back"!!!and see what the RIAA SAY'S ABOUT THAT...it can be done.

Posted by: Dee at January 23, 2007 02:32 AM

nice!

Posted by: fubabee at January 23, 2007 10:47 PM

You're vlogging is really good. You need to do more of this.

Although, I'm with Lynn on the cat. Why did he get have to get up in the mix when you started talking about snitches? Watch out for the cat?

Posted by: Rachel at January 24, 2007 02:55 PM

Hey, you've summed uo the hole racist-economic- enslaving perspective of the recording industry. The powers that be don't want to see a brother impower himself economically. I propose a movement of Indie labels shaking up the industry.
Check out the movement @ www.talantedtenthmusic.com and www.slumonline.com
