The End of the UCLA / Gonzaga Game

Was homeboy actually out there crying before the game ended, or is that just a grimace?

Meanwhile this blog says the biggest chokers were CBS:

A wild and wonderful finish to Thursday night’s UCLA-Gonzaga game saw CBS far from its top form.

After coming back from a late deficit, UCLA made two consecutive steals, with a basket sandwiched in between, to all but ice the contest. After the second steal, CBS play-by-play man Gus Johnson was so wrapped in the stellar turnaround that he was reduced to just shouting “What a Game, What a Game!” at the top of his lungs. Johnson’s hysteria had the wife and I literally laughing out loud at how ridiculous he sounded.

Then, with just a few seconds left and UCLA about to inbound the ball, CBS made the major blunder of going to a replay and missing the live play, which could have been the end of the game. They dumped out quickly, but it was too late, they still missed Gonzaga fouling UCLA with 1.9 seconds left.

i comepletely agree CBS' coverage was awful and Johnson's play by play distracted ma from an amazing game and it was very unprofessional.

and adam morrision is the most annoying looking kid i've ever seen. i can't take his moustache.

One could mistake that mustache, as one of a budding child molester...no doubt a cry baby.

Always a good time with the racist morons show up. Of course "your mom" is a similar sort of slang, but hey, thinking has never stopped this kind of idiot.

My boi AM is just passionate, man. I admit he shouldnt have been crying w/ 2.something seconds left on the clock, but still. That's something you can't sell or buy: the immense passion and love these dudes have for playing this game.

The call at the end of the Gonzaga game was wonderfully exciting and matched the intensity and emotion of the game. It couldn't have been better...it added to the magic of the contest and the call made the game all the more memorable. One of the tournament's greatest moments.

gordonkeith, I'm sure you've done a lot with your life you jealous little bitch.

Man, I can't believe you thought CBS was terrible. Would you rather the guy just whisper "what a game". I mean come on. The guys calling this game did a heck of a lot better than the ones calling the final four and championship games. I thought it was very exciting the way they called it and wouldnt have wanted it any other way.

So I dont know what you are smoking... Go watch Days of our Lives if you want something less distracting... lol
