Brooke Kilgarriff will represent Minnesota in the Miss America competition in January. Brooke was previously known for being on American Idol Season 5. And made it into the top 60, and had a great time in the process. Keep a eye out for this rising star.
Kilgarriff, competing as Miss Twin Cities, won in the interview and overall talent categories Saturday. She performed a rendition of "Somebody to Love," by Queen. She's a student at The Boston Conservatory and is pursuing a career as a Broadway singer and actress. She also hopes to teach elementary school music. Kilgarriff will receive more than $7,500 from the Miss Minnesota Scholarship Program.
