The Progressive Auto Insurance Woman (VIDEO)

Not sure what this says about media nowadays, but sometimes the most interesting TV stars are the ones in the commercials! And right now lots of people want to know who that funny lady is in the Progressive Auto Insurance commercials.

Well thanks to the power of the internets, we now know her name is Stephanie Courtney, and she's a stand up comic from California. I had been thinking to myself she seems like the new Lisa Kudrow, and it turns out she's from the same improv crew as Kudrow, the Groundlings.

She's also had many other parts, including playing the voice of Tina Fey in MTV's Celebrtity Death Match. Hope we get to see more of her soon.. Making TV shows out of commercials never seems to work well (did you see the Geico Caveman sitcom??), but maybe she can at least play a character similar to the the one we see below..
