Paris Jackson's Haircut

Gossipers and pundits are on fire today about Paris Jackson's haircut, wondering why her people had to pick up all of Paris's cut hair annd take it with them when they left.

Apparently they had the salon meticulously pick up all of the hair that was cut, and put it in a bag, which Paris Jackson's caretaker took with them when they left? This is actually not an uncommon practice in some cultures, and in the case of someonee like Paris Jackson it can also to make sure nobody tries to take her hair and sell it somewhere, which wouldn't be too surprising if you think about it.

But still, some are speculating they needed to clean up after Paris Jackson's haircut to make sure nobody took the hair for DNA testing, and are trying to make it into a bigger story.

It seems anything the Jackson family does, even the most mundane activities, can become a scandal in today's media, and they proved this today with the press jumping all over the details of this Paris Jackson haircut story. I think we should let this family, expecially the children, have a little more space and not make every little thing into a scandal. In fact, looking at the video below I'm a little disappointed in the Today Show for presenting this in such a sensationalistic way.

In some cultures, hair clippings from the child's first haircut are kept and cherished. It's not weird/strange, just their choice.No matter what the reason for keeping the hair, it's none of anyone's business. Respect the choice and let the Jackson children grow up in peace.

My sons are 10 and 12 and I still have the clippings from their first hair cut. I wasnt concerned about protecting their DNA, just tradition that runs in my family. When people adopt children from other races and/or countries and raise them they are their children. Michael had finally found peace and happiness when he got HIS children. I'm glad he at least had those 12 years of happiness.

Everything about Michael's children is going to be huge news. We need to step back and allow these children to have all the experiences outside the sheltered one with Michael. It is no wonder he sheltered them so, he knew the media attention that would happen. Who cares who is their real father obviously Michael doted on them emmesely and loved them very much. Isnt that all that matters? We all know that it doesnt take just sperm to be a father. Who cares if he didnt father them, he indeed WAS their father in every other way and they loved his as such. We have to remember the loss they are suffering through. Let them be. God bless you Paris, Prince Michael and Little Blanket. May angels always be with you just as your fathers spirit truly is.

@evette: Paris is 11. This WASNT her 1st haircut.

@olivia: Bc MJ just died of course all the the kids do is new. As time passes they'll be left alone. The interest in their DNA is that MJ said they were his biological kids that he had by having sex w Deb. We know that that 2nd part is a lie as Deb admitted she was artifically inseminated. MJ had told lots of lies. The Jacksons have such strong genes & that all 3 of his kids dont look like him is y there is speculation.

The vid has been removed. Is it posted anywhere else?

I think the adult took the hair bc they dont want the hair sold nor given 2 some1 for DNA testing.

I know the Jacksons are all broke xcept for Maureen & Marlon
(both who have successful 20 yr marriages, kids, & grandkids);
Latoya & Janet--yes even Momma Kat is broke, she fled for bankruptcy-- but now Momma Kat gets $ 2 care for the 3 kids. So y not just have the haircut @ hayvenhurst? Im sure there is a salon in that estate.
