Sarah Palin Memoir: Nov. 17

It turns Sarah Palin's long awaited memoir won't be awaited too long at all; publishers announced Palin's debut book will be released on Nov. 17!

The book, entitled "Going Rogue" (no joke), was slated to drop in the spring, but now has been pushed up due to popular demand, or perhaps author impatience. It will be 400 pages, and the publisher is expected to press 1.5 million copies in the first printing, equal to the printings of Ted Kennedy's autobiography.

Sarah Palin's memoir, full title "Going Rogue: An American Life," was apparently co-written with a "collaborator" named Lynn Vincent. Whatever you think of her politics (and to be frank I don't think very much), she is clearly a very bright woman, and will never be accused of being boring! So I'll be checking in on Nov 17th to peek at Sarah Palin's memoir. I mean I probably won't buy it, hardcovers are so expensive! But at least I'll see how much I can get through in a sitting at Barnes & Noble.

Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate, has finished her memoir just four months after the book deal was announced, and the release date has been moved up from the spring to Nov. 17, her publisher said...

Who ever wrote this article is an idiot, I cant wait for the book.

Posted by: Anonymous at September 29, 2009 7:02 AM

Who cares if the writer of this stupid article is going to buy a book. Why are so many people afraid of her? I admire her honesty and her family morals.

Posted by: Anonymous at September 29, 2009 7:05 AM

A book about a Govenor who didnt finish her term so she could write a book and get 6 figure speaking deals. Not going to waist my time.

Posted by: brad thompson at September 29, 2009 7:09 AM

Then Brad why did you even read the article? Wouldn't that be wasting your time...
I'll read her book!

Posted by: Anonymous at September 29, 2009 7:15 AM

Isn't 3 pages considered a pamplet and not a book?

Posted by: patrick jenkins at September 29, 2009 7:45 AM

No way this woman can write, let alone read 400 pages.

"Oil and coal? Of course, it’s a fungible commodity and they don’t flag, you know, the molecules, where it’s going and where it’s not. But in the sense of the Congress today, they know that there are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first. So, I believe that what Congress is going to do, also, is not to allow the export bans to such a degree that it’s Americans who get stuck holding the bag without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here. It’s got to flow into our domestic markets first."

Here is the moron in action. Flag the molecules?

Will most definitely read this book! Palin is a breath of fresh air in a most corrupt govenment in decades. This IS America, hopefully we will all wake up before freedom is lost forever.

Posted by: JoAnn Gannon at September 29, 2009 8:27 AM

The worst kind of politician is the one that is so clearly in it for the attention and percieved glory. People buy into her bull**** because she spouts "family values"... you know, the country is going to hell in a handbasket *sarcasm*.

Posted by: Paul at September 29, 2009 8:31 AM

Afraid of her? What on earth makes you think anyone is afraid of her? I haven't seen any indication anyone posting here is afraid of her. But, let's be honest. She is an intelligent woman but she is also a ditz. She has no real political savvy and has no business in politics but that could also be said of at least 1/3 of all politicians nationwide. (probably more!) I can't imagine there could be much of value or interest for the majority in Palin's book.

Posted by: Reese` at September 29, 2009 8:42 AM

Who cares what she has to say? Why would anyone want to read her book?
She couldn't handle finishing her term, does nothing but whine, and certainly isn't too bright.

Posted by: arey at September 29, 2009 9:00 AM

DITZ is the word... as for value in her book.. maybe they will uise it in elementary school.. "how to behave when you don't want to succeed in politics" Sarah Palin..keep hunting moose that's all your good for!

Posted by: Mary at September 29, 2009 9:03 AM

Can't wait for Sarah's book. Wish she was in the white house instead of this dunce we have. At least she loves America, and don't apologize for our way of life and prosperity built on capitalism, not socialism, which is where we are headed with these clowns we have in there now.

Posted by: Don at September 29, 2009 9:10 AM

Paul, I couldn't have said it better. DITTO!

Posted by: Dianna at September 29, 2009 9:11 AM

Just because many of us feel she is out of her league, a fake (using her kids as props; is it a good "family" value to pull kids out of school as long as she did), and a hypocrit. How can anyone say she is "intelligent"; she is smart as a fox in a negative way - she knows how to manipulate. She runs from Governor's office, why? So everyone will say: "What a refreshing person, she does what she wants". I frankly would not want her or anyone like her in office.

Posted by: S Pendleton at September 29, 2009 9:15 AM

Its hard to believe that there are some people like Mary who feed into that negative lie that our current President does not love America the way Sara Palin does. This uneducated woman could not even handle an interview, has lied about her own family situation and continues to embarrass the Republican Parrty with her idiotic, self serving ranting. WOW, Mary, you and Paul must be as amart as she is!!!!

Posted by: MICHAEL JACKSON at September 29, 2009 9:18 AM

the people that read this book are the same people that read, and beleive, the rag sheet news magazines .

Posted by: Anonymous at September 29, 2009 9:23 AM

Oh I almost forgot, she also saw how she could make more $$$$ for herself so she quit her job, quit on the people who elected her for a better deal personally. And this is the person some would like to see running the country? I guess anything is better than a Harvard educated, family oriented man, because he is black. Sick, really sick!

Posted by: Michael R. Jackson at September 29, 2009 9:24 AM

Sarah Palin would be the best thing for this country! Someone with her Patriotism, spirit and intelligence is what has been needed for a long time. She would strive to bring back the values of AMERICA. We need our FREEDOMS protected not taken away and she would be the ONE to do it.
For everyone that is doubting her, just watch and see the book go to number one.

Posted by: Anonymous at September 29, 2009 9:53 AM

I LOVE the negative comments. They sound so familiar...like what was said about, um, oh yeah! RONALD REAGAN. He was characterized as a bumbling ditz, but he brought down the Soviet Union, cut taxes and started an economic boom in this country that took the combined efforts of Clinton and all the liberals in Congress to bring to an end, and gave us our national pride and confidence back. We need someone like SARAH to overcome the socialist malaise that Mr. "Change" is trying to force down our throats. GO SARAH--'12!!!

Posted by: Al Mondorf at September 29, 2009 9:56 AM

Sarah is intellectually lazy, she doesn't bother to dig deep into te issues- she is only interested in the next sound bite- guess this book is her way of keeping up with the other community college product- Rush..

Posted by: gary at September 29, 2009 9:57 AM

I am behind you all the way, Sarah. I am looking forward to reading your book. I like women who stand behind their beliefs. I wish you much success in the future whatever you choose to do.

Perhaps it will come with crayons, so you can color the pictures on each page as you read.

Posted by: Linda J. at September 29, 2009 10:09 AM

If Sarah Palin wants to be left alone why doesn't she just GO AWAY?
She bemoans the media interfering in her life, then writes a book.Does that make any sense? Oops,I forgot she needs the money.
What "family values"?Letting a male that impregnated her daughter live in her house? That's not what I call 'family values".

Posted by: Cheryl at September 29, 2009 10:09 AM

It's funny how the conservatives on here ignore the fact that the country was almost in the tank while on thier watch. A lot of people got rich at the expense of good hard working Americans. It was a capital crime driven by capitalist ambition. The bankers, stock brokers, mortgage brokers (all conservatives) sucked the blood out of this country for years, while being protected by a president and congress with common interest. This is no different than a bad NFL team. Someone always has to come in and dismantle it, to rebuild it back into a winner. That guy is always scrutinized for getting rid of the cancer... until he makes it a winner again. I would expect everyone on this post who criticizes the fact that they contributed to this mess... is having a tough time dealing with the fact that they will be paying thier fair share in taxes. Something that they haven't done in the previous eight years. As for S. Palin... I am disturbed that any American would let an inexperienced, uninformed, untraveled person run the affairs of this country. It takes knowledge, savvy, and a willingness to back everyone regardless of your beliefs. She has her principal and beliefs (and I get that!!!)... but they are not mine, nor will they be instilled into me because of my leader. So far, every time I hear her speak, it's as if she wants me to follow her based on belief. I don't think so. I follow leaders... not radicals.

Posted by: Raybo46 at September 29, 2009 10:10 AM

She is subject to severe mood swings and that combined with a rifle can only lead to a crazy women with a gun. She is subject to temper tantrums when she does not get what she wants. Yes she is good for the NRA and etc. She is not very smart upstairs and needs a body makeover. Yes she would make a good president, like Bush maybe or Limbaugh or....

Remember when Hitler told everyone that he was a nice guy and didn't want war? Like the other day Mr.Iran pres. said they have no new nuke factories? Seem similar? Its only the dick tators that are blaming everyone else for their problems except themselves. Seem Similar? Conservative republicans etc. make great police. Demacrats etc. are the intellectuals that are needed to control the police. So maybe if they both worked together things would get done. Because police on their own will only be bad. And intellectuals only will only be bad. Palin is a police women and is liked by her type. Barrack is a intellectual and if you can FORGET the color of his skin for a while maybe you will see he means well.

I know how hard it is for people to understand how capitalism works. But let me ask a question; have you ever been hired by a poor man?
Raybo, as for you stating that the conservatives got us in to this mess, I disagree. What has been in the government for the past 5 terms have not been based on true conservative values.
Also, AMERICA did put in an inexperinced person. How is that working for the country? Congress is the problem, they are all about working to get voted back in and that is all they are working to do. We need to get rid of them all and let them know they work for AMERICA. AMERICA does not work for them.

Predjudisum and hating others and jealousy is ACID that eats away at the hearts of people. No one has the right to give permssion to another person to KILL another human. People hating people is passed down from one generation to the next. Well so is LOVE! This is a GLOBAL endeaver and concerns everyone on this planet. So wise up becuase we are on a small ball that revolves around a very hot sun and wobles as it moves. Wise up WE ONLY HAVE EACH OTHER. We are the very fortunate to be on this beautiful playground called earth. We are the aliens that come visit for a while then leave. We do not own the earth and we came here with nothing and will leave with nothing.

I do know very much how capitalism works. I am fortunate to own a modestly size company with 60 employees. And no... I have never been hired by a poor man. lol But seriously, when is enough... enough? I have enjoyed success and financial security not through government philandering... but through hard work, integrity, and a fantastic employee base. I have sat down with my accountant and like others, took my tax savings over the years. I will admit that. I did not break the law... I followed it to the tee. Then the recession hit! We were not immediately swept away with it, but eventually it hit us. Suddenly, no work. Competitors drastically reduced thier prices to losing levels, just to keep cashflow going. After the 1st of the year... you will see another huge wave of these companies folding. Believe that if you will. We refused to get caught up in the panic. We held our own, but to what expense. My employees were forced to go home and wait it out. We did what we could to help them get through this... draining the resources of the company down to dangerous levels. So what happened during this time? WEELLLLLLL....

Gas prices stopped thier downward trend and went back up. Why? Because of OPEC and our influence to stop generating oil and reserves. Drives the price up. I know none of my employees had a say so in that one. Today, the oil companies are still injoying record profits while some people can scarcely afford 1/2 tank

The state power company is on the verge of receiving one of the highest cost of living increases to record. This is the most successful and profitable companies in the country. Most people can't put food on the table... much less turn on the A/C. Why? Journalist have discovered that the Power company execs are speaking direct with commission (conservative based)though secret emails that not tracked by state law.

I can do this all day... meanwhile, hard working honest people that I employ sat at home pondering thier futures. I can say now, that thier is an upward turn for us. I believe it has been because of several factors.

And yes Freedom3... I do believe the problem is with Congress. There will never be stable ground there as is evident with Joe Wilson calling our commander in chief a liar on national television.

I am prepared to pay my fare share of taxes along with everyone else, if it means my employees will get what they deserved. Unforturnately, a lot of capitalist do not share in my beliefs.

I don't care what color the president's skin is. The president of the United States should be red, white, and blue through and through. Bad policies make bad politics - apologizing for being an American and telling foreign leaders that we made mistakes and continue to make mistakes is simply bad policy. If some Americans aren't proud of their country - then leave it to us that are proud to be Americans. The borders are wide open. No one is keeping you here. Go abroad some where and gripe about their leaders. I fear that President Obama will go down in history as the president that drove a wedge into the heartland of this country that may never be removed. I guess I had expectations for President Obama that were simply too high. Conservatives, liberals, left, right, socialists, capitalists, who cares we should all consider ourselves Americans first and foremost. Agree or disagree with her politics, Ms. Palin has the right to write a book, quit a job, go hunting, keep an eye on Russia from her front porch, just like any of the posters have.

Posted by: debbie at September 29, 2009 11:39 AM

Hey Raybo46...do you really run your own company? I feel for your employees...you can't even spell or write grammatically correct sentences. "thier is an upward turn..." "the oil companies are still injoying record profits..." There's more, but I think I made my point. Please - learn how to spell and write - then try to run a company.

Posted by: Tom at September 29, 2009 11:47 AM

Palin is a baboose! cheating her own government by taking trips and bringing her dumb founded uninvited family to events and they not even invited to begin with shows that she has no class, she talk so much bubbles no wander she needed to put a book together. I cannot stand her, she sucks!

Posted by: eilene at September 29, 2009 11:58 AM

Great post Raybo!
I am in the same boat as a contractor. We are being undercut everyday and as we cut our numbers, we are still not getting work. This week we are going to be cutting back again. Good luck with the business.
As for the problem; we the taxpayer had no say when the gov. required the banks to make loans to people that could not afford them.
Programs are to help people get back on their feet. Not to keep them on the ass. That in itself is a grave problem.
As for the gas/oil problem we need to supply our own. I know we want to save the world by jumping to go green (which is fine), but now is not the time. We need to drill to get self reliant, the use of oil is not going to end for many years.
BTW this green thing; do some investigation into who is going to gain from this.
Sarah is still the better choice for the people and less government.

Posted by: George at September 29, 2009 12:15 PM

What I don't understand (and I'm not picking sides here) is how one justifies wanting Palin to be President of the United States when she voluntarily quit on the Great State of Alaska with 18 months to go? You don't quit. You finish what you start. Isn't that what we instill in our children? Family values...wouldn't that be a good one? Finish what you start and then pursue other interests if that is your choice. I can't really see how quitting a political post and then writing a book about your experiences up until you quit sets you up for 2012. Even if you liked her during the election and you still do, how can you want a person who would quit while on duty to take on a higher duty???

I thought you actually had to accomplish something to write a memoir. You know General Grant in the Civil War, The Rolling Stones, the first 60 Years, Ernest Hemingway. Tabloid trash isn't really deserving of memoirs. She has more experience as a beauty contestant than a politician. I'm hoping the book will have some tips on the right lip gloss to wear. There isn't anything else she's qualified to talk about.

However, she very attractive, and smart enough to capitalize on her popularity. She is very appealing to many, even myself; I love hearing about her. She's like that accident on the road you just have to slow down for! Thank God they lost the election, we think the country is bad now, think if she was in charge. We would become the embarassment to the World. Anyway, I will read snippets of the book at Barnes and Nobles. She's not worth buying a book.

I can't wait to see if the book has as many lies in it as what her Vice-Presidential Campaign did.

I so sick of the comments about her daughter. How many of you had unprotected sex before marriage while in high school without your parents knowledge? In their house? Or whereever? I want to know. Because if you did then you all need to shut up being judgemental of anyone's parenting skills. We all do the best we can. That does not make her stupid or careless it makes her human. Dem or Rep we are all human. Her daughter made the mistake along with her boyfriend and what they do with it will define them. The press has persecuted that family. Sarah has been persecuted for being in politics and for doing what she loves and for being being herself. Why for being smart, cute or sexy even. How many people could handle that kind of pressure? So she quits. Does anyone know for sure when the book deal was purposed? No you don't so don't judge her for taking the book deal and for providing for her family. Its none of our business. You don't have to buy the book.Michelle Obama is rumored to be writing a book well so it could be said that she should'nt be doing that on tax payers time. She is the 1st lady. She has a job.To me what she does with her time is her on business. If Sarah Palin felt she couldn't serve Alaska to the best of her ability then she was right to resign. Another comment mades was about racism. America is raciest but not about Obama although you would like to accuse someone every 5 minutes for being a raciest about him, becasue that will allow him to make more mistakes but truthfully your more raciest about Sarah Palin and the fact that she is a women. Women aren't allowed to be strong, intelligent and beautiful at the same time. Plus have a family? Shame on you. Compare yourself to her, I dare you, we would never be able to withstand the crap she has. Put yourselves under that microscrope. One more thing Palin has obviously shown she can take it, but has any of you thought that maybe this book is her way of healing herself and her family and speaking out when she hasn't been able to speak out in a fair press. Maybe she wants understanding. Peace.

REAL FACT check for "facts"- Sarah Palin in an interview with Charlie Gibson - ABC- 9/11/08- "They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska"

Sarah Palin wrote a book- let me see, she could not finish her term as governor of Alaska, was probably the most unprepared and unpopular GOP candidate in years - people want a no class family in the White House - are you people kidding - ok for the ones who wanted her in the White House - let me ask a question- if PResident Obama has a 17 year old daughter pregnant and unmarried - wouuld he be in the White House today? be honest folks

Posted by: Stephanie Lloyd at September 29, 2009 2:15 PM

Karen, it's to early to be drinking. She ran on family value's and her daughter was pregnant. Get real. She cute like Kelly Bundy, and just as dumb. Only the mindless, and people with an IQ of 70 or less will buy into her crap. Smoke reefer, it's less harmful.

Hey Tom...why don't you pas sthe bong to your daughter and have her take a hit...oh that's right, you don't have any kids. If you did, you would understand that family values includes loving you children even when they make mistakes. You wouldn't know family values if it jumped up and bit you in the head. Notice I didn't say a@#, because your head must be located just above the proximal head of your femur bone!

Wouldn't waste my hard earned money on her book.
Why make her rich ?? Just to read a bunch of garbage obout her life. why ????

Wow !! only in America. Whats the title ? Sara Palin the QUITTER>

Now you can get off your daughter and stop the in breeding. That's the problem with backwood peckerheads. Yall will fall for the bullsheit every time. I'm sure you're a big limbaugh and becket fan. Oh my, these posts are amazing. White or black and very little shades of gray. Of course Sarah Palin has the right to write a book, but didn't she owe the citizens of Alaska to stay in her job until the end? What kind of example is that for kids in America? I really feel money is the heart of all evil!

Posted by: lee at September 29, 2009 3:45 PM

Sorry Tom,
I admittedly made spelling and grammar mistakes as I rushed through the post and sent it. I actually chimed in once again to apologize to the readers for those errors. But do you seriously think my employees are concerned that I am articulate and can take first place in a spelling bee. I think maybe they appreciate the fact that I'm the first one in, and the last one out each day. Or maybe I'm the one who goes down and makes a couple of payments for them when they come to me as a last resort. It takes a lot for a man or woman to approach thier boss when all avenues have been expended. But I came from the trenches of our business... Been there, done that. Lived through the recession back in the early 90's. I'm not part of the problem... I'm trying to do my best to be part of the solution. I don't avoid the issues by bringing attention to a few mistakes in someone's spelling and grammar. If everyone did that, then GW would have been thrown out a long time ago.

I don't know Sarah Palin, I don't care to know her, but I will never bash her because I don't know her. As for my President Barack Obama, I am proud to have him as my president. America needs to stop looking at color. God made all of us in His image. We have gone down the tubes this past 8 years with a president who cheated his way to the White House. Americans are not giving President Obama a fair chance to correct the mess that was left to him by the last president. If that were Bush speaking at a town hall meeting, noone would've dared to call him a liar. America is the most diverse country in the world, but yet the most prejudice country in the world. If Sarah Palin wants to write a book, then by all means, let her. Freedom of speech and that good stuff!!! I will not be her judge & juror. I will not be President Obama's thorn in the side either. I love my country, but it still needs alot of work!!!!!

I guess if you write big enough with a crayon you might be able to fill up 400 pages. She should stick to her strengths, which she is best at while on her knees. The Conservative MORONS that actually believe that she is an intelligent and able political leader is just plain self deluded.

Posted by: Civilone at September 29, 2009 4:03 PM

She's laughing all the way to the bank, and will make a lot more on her public speaking engagements, book deals, etc. than she ever did as Governor of Alaska. She may be come across as ditzy, look at Dolly Parton and Jessica Simpson-wouldn't mind a % of their royalites!!!

I voted Obama/Biden and don't agree with her on her political views. However, I think she is an intelligent woman and I am all about that. Just because I don't agree with her politics doesn't mean I don't respect her. I am all about Girl Power! :) I can't wait to read her book.

Posted by: Anonymous at September 29, 2009 4:16 PM

She may not be corrupt but she certainly is greedy! Doesn't say much for her commitment to "the people" - she dumped them at the first opportunity to line her pockets.

Sarah isn't a "rougue" who's "bucking the system to give the American people a fair shake". Refreshing she may be, but she's still just one more politician looking to make a fast buck - and keep it!

Posted by: Leigh McKinsey at September 29, 2009 4:18 PM

She is an idiot. Anyone that wastes their hard earned money buying her crappy book should be ashamed of themselves. If you have extra money give it to the poor people who have lost their jobs and can't afford to take care of their kids. Why would you give it to one of the biggest embarrassments that the republican party has ever had? Why should she profit because the R's made such a huge mistake putting her in the public eye in their desperation to get the vote. What a huge mistake. But go ahead Sarah and run in 2012. The democrats will win again no matter who they have running if she is the only competition.

I sure wish I knew what the meaning of what dumb is. The orchestration of labeling Sarah Palin as dumb on the part of the left has me somewhat worried about my fellow Americans. Remember how the left orchestrated the "Hope and Change You Can Believe In" candidacy of Barack Obama. You all sure went over the cliff on that one. Please learn to formulate your own opinions. Yes you can.

Let's all grow up a little. mmm, mmm, mmm.

Posted by: Ralph at September 29, 2009 4:24 PM

It is amazing to witness such bias towards someone who stands for his or her beliefs in the manner Sarah Palin exemplifies. Agree with her opinions or not but to insult her intelligence or character is ridiculous. Sarah Palin has risen from humble beginnings to achieve remarkable success both personally and professionally.

No rational person can deny these facts. I believe Mrs. Palin and her ideas for America represent the only path our country has toward fulfilling the American Dream. I proudly support her and her ideas on how America should move forward. I anxiously await the arrival of her memoirs and look forward to learning more about this fascinating women.

This woman is a nut and it shows big time and aint no one party in their right mind or any kind of in touch with reality will let this woman head their ticket. Hey Gary,

Here is something for you to think about- I hope you thanked the republicans for your 401k tanking, for flimsy environmental laws, for 4,500 American lives gone in Iraq, this horrible recession, thousands of dead Iraqis-none that had anything to do with 9/11, Halliburton lining their pockets-ohhh thank you Mr. Cheney for that one. Other countries leary of us. Our country has been turned upside down & shaken. Thanks for not the Patriot Act and a little wire tapping of our citizens-ya know...you and me. The republicans injure us and then act insulted because they were badly spanked in the last election-over 8 million votes more -it is called a landslide spanked. So, when you all go off on this new president-sore losers-remember who ultimately put him there-THANK YOU REPUBLICANS. YOU CAN'T REFUTE THE FACTS, BUT I AM SURE YOU WILL TRY.

So when you all go off on this new president-sore losers-remember who ultimately put him there-THANK YOU REPUBLICANS. YOU CAN'T REFUTE THE FACTS!

sara palin is an insult to american women. running for VP was insane. was McCain bitter, trying to bring down the office of the president or is he so out of touch with the Am. people that he believed we would dare vote for such an air-head.....sara palin. the fact is the rich need the poor and the poor need the rich. just remember it is the rich that is selling American land, high-rise buildings to other countries and anything else they can to make a buck---without a country does the buck matter--they don't....... care.....

I hope Sarah Palin runs for President in the next election. That way the Democrats can kick her divisive white supremist, right wing conservative, talking in tongues Christian ass once again!

Refute the facts. How many were lost in Southeast Asia, by the lies of the democratic party aka(lbj). Who was the last president to purjure Himself infront of congress "I did not have sex with that woman". I believe it was a democrat that was involved at chapaquittick. I may not spell everything correctly but I do remember that not all republicans are perfect but that democrats also of a few of the blemishes to our great country As for morality remember Slick Willie, Gary Hart. JFK & FDR had affairs in the White House. Then there's John Edwards, a fine upstanding respectable citizen, and Gov. Rod Bigoiovich, of the Presidents home state, who I'll agree did not quit his office. Wasn't he thrown out of office? Have we had enough throwing stones yet? I may not agree with this President but Iwill not listen to everything I hear about him, constantly criticize him or be insulting to his family, Sound familliar?

If you can look at the world through rose color glasses, then you can see the Sarah Palin is in it for all of the power she can gain. All of you idots out there that Palin would be good for the country that we all so dearly love, than I say be careful what you wish for. You did that with Bush, and you see what we got. If the President term had been 12 year instead of eight, we all would be learning to speak Chinese. You gave Bush eight years to screw you and you should be score by now. Obama is only been with you for nine months give him a chance, you just might find that his way of fixing our drive just might work, it's just like having sex you might reach your climax everything, but if you do it right, it just might make you think about the way you have sex. For those of you who think Palin is better, than I have a doctor you can go see, but you do need Health Care. With that said, just chill-out and let nature take it's course, because what the world need now is love and understanding. Will I buy and read Palin book? No, but hell no she is an idot

Republicans hear my plea! For the love of God, do NOT elect Palin to run against Obama, Palin will be to conservatives what John Kerry was to Democrats. I had a hard time with the election on who to vote for last November, I'm an independent who tends to lean toward the liberal side, but I supported John McCain all the way...until he picked Palin. She was shady, the liberals had it was too easy to find proof of her naivette in office(firing a relatives Ex). She didn't know ANY of the policies of herself or McCain while being interviewed (I believe one poster here ragged on Obama for just being a smooth speaker with no straight answers in one line and pledged full support to Palin in the next...w.t.f?). She had absolutely NO foreign relation experience and no experience in Washington. I ended up voting for Obama after figuring that 8 years of Bush was enough, and McCain's health isn't the greatest and, well, you know...

Conservatives are quickly becoming the minority. Its an undeniable fact and a chain in history that will always repeat itself, some ways of thinking just "go out of style". If they want to retake the Executive office, they need to make the right choice, Palin will not defeat Obama in 2012. Call me on that one, unless Obama seriously effs up in the next 3 years he will easily defeat Palin.

Oh, and let's end the insults on the "quitter" thing, whether you like Palin or not. If you knew your history you would know that leaving your current elected position in the middle of your term to pursue greater goals is a very common practice in politics, right or left.

It used to be the Gov. of Alaska resided in the Gov. Residence provided by the State of Alaska and its tax payers in JUNEAU Ak., not as far as Palin was concerned. She knew this when she ran and when she won decided she didn't want to move her family. So instead she let the tax payers pay her a per diem to live in her own home. She runs for Vice President then quits as Gov. to bottom line here, make more money telling her loser story. I don't appreciate her quiting...im an Alaskan, we are tough!! No matter how hard the job is or how bad one is at it quiting in no way makes one a winner. Buying her book only makes her money....she bailed out on Alaska she doesn't deserve a penny from the story of her messed up job as Gov. The lady should be taking some speech classes!!!!

I want to know why these liberals think an Acorn organizer/corrupt lawyer has more experience than someone who has governed a state and had morals to go after the corruption in her own party. Yea, what a great organizer Obama is....I have never seen this country so divided!!! The liberals can't make a good arguement so they have to run smear campaigns and voter fraud to get their agenda. I will agree that both parties are corrupt and that is why Sara would be good for the country because she won't just go after Dems. WAKE UP DEMOCRATS...THE RADICAL LIBERALS ARE DESTROYING FREEDOM!!!!!

Posted by: Julie at November 1, 2009 8:06 PM

@Julie - oh please.
The accusation that Obama was a lawyer for ACORN is deceptively vague. In fact, Obama at one time represented a large coalition of groups that happened to include ACORN, as well as the U.S. Department of Justice and a host of other entities. The legal work was in support of an uncontroversial "Motor Voter" law.
Project Vote was not directly associated with ACORN until 1994, two years after Obama organized for the group. The campaign provided a statement from the Project Vote's executive director during the period of Obama's involvement. "[I]t wasn't until after Mr. Obama's tenure had ended that it began to conduct projects more frequently with ACORN than with other community-based organizations," Sanford A Newman wrote to a letter to the Wall Street Journal.
Bertha Lewis, a senior organizer for ACORN, confirmed on Monday: "Project Vote started registering voters in 1992. ACORN and Project Vote really began to work more closely together in 1994."
the only on-record connection between Project Vote and ACORN dating from 1992 is the fact that ACORN's Executive Director, Steve Kest, was part of a forty-member national Project Vote advisory board. Other members of that panel Included Rep. John Lewis, Former Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy, Former Rep. William H. Gray (D-PA), and the national presidents of the NEA, NOW, AFSCME, SEIU, UAW, IAFF, and the United Steelworkers.

Good job pushing the smear-campaign, though - do some research before you just accept whatever crap FOX "News" disseminates.
