'Alien' Halloween Costumes: Offensive?


Alien Halloween costumes have always been popular, but this year some people are not happy with the new kind, that combine space aliens, with a mockery of illegal immigrant "aliens."

The Halloween costumes (see below for photos) were on sale in popular stores like Target and Walgreens, but after protests they were removed. Many other stores are still selling them though, and advocacy groups like Coalition for Humane Immigration Rights are not happy. But defenders say it's just a harmless costume.

Halloween costumes have never been on sale because they were tasteful, and being inappriopriate is pretty much the only thing people do on that night, filled with "slutty version of this" and "slutty version of that" costumes. But sometimes you do have to draw a line. Was it crossed here? What do you think?

What's offensive is that anyone is concerned that people who are ILLEGAL are offended.
