Injured Pilot's Hike

This weekend the internet is buzzing about this injured pilot's incredible story of surviving a plane crash, then surviving a 20 mile hike to reach help!

The pilot Daniel McGregor, crashed in a cessna in Alaska, and his passenger died in the crash, but he had the fortitude to struggle through an endless hike back to civilization despite some serious injuries including severe burns. The injured pilot is now at Seattle's Harborview Medical Center, in satisfactory condition...

From photographs of the wreckage, Richard Moore figured the odds were extremely poor that anyone survived the fiery plane crash in Alaska's Denali National Park. Remains were spotted in the burned tangle of metal. Then the park ranger medic got word that the pilot of the Cessna 185 had hiked 20 miles for help, despite significant injuries...he walked 16 miles before coming upon some other hikers, then walked back 4 miles with them to their car, then took a ride home before going to the hospital to receive treatment for his injuries...

I am very happy for this pilot. Now his family will not have to go through what could have been a very sad period for them.I am happy for them.
