New York Mets Gain $48 Million From Madoff


We already know about the countless people who lost money dealing with the evil financial wizard Bernie Madoff, but it turns out there are some who actually came out with a profit after investing with him, and one of them is the New York Mets.

The owners of the team that is. After a book claimed the Mets owners lost so much with Madoff they would soon lose the team, representatives of the Wilpon family came back with evidence they in fact gained $48 million from their dealings with the ponzi king. So great, we've established that the Mets came out winners with Bernie Madoff. Maybe now they can figure out how to come out winners on the baseball field again?
