Chia: Is Central American Plant Renowned for Its Medicinal Properties


Many people know Chia as the plant people grow as a pet (at least according to TV ads), but did you know the Chia is also a Central American plant renowned for its medicinial properties?

Chia was used traditionally by native communities in Centram America as alternative medical treatment for various ailments, and used to boost energy and strength, much like a vitamin supplement. It was also used to treat fevers and infections among other health issues. Seems a shame we now only use Chia to sell late night infomercial goodies!
