D.C. Sniper Set for Execution

Years after his attacks terrorized Washington DC and the nation, the state of Virginia has the D.C. sniper set for execution by lethal injection tonight, for the random killing sprees that scarred the beginning of this decade.

the D.C. sniper's attorney Jon Sheldon is still holding out hope for a stay of execution by the Governor, TIm Kaine, but says if this final measure fails he will attend the execution to see off the man he's worked so hard for these years, whom he still sees as a human being who was mentally ill and not a monster, despite the horrible things done by John Allen Muhammad.

But for most who are there, tonight Greensville Correctional Center will be a time of closure and justice, with the execution set for the D.C. sniper who took many innocent lives.

Unless Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine steps in, the D.C. sniper set for execution, John Allen Muhammad will be executed for the sniper attacks that terrorized the nation's capital region for three weeks in October 2002...

Oh well!!

You live by the sword, you die by injection...I have no sympathy for this animal. He took innocent lives for no reason....

I feel this is a well deserve situation for a demonstrative lost on society and innocent people well in the way of what he was after. The death penalty will not reward many of the families the lost of love ones, but it will bring satisfaction knowing he will never walk on the face of earth again.

he deserves what hes getting. maybe if we would do this alot more to the idiots that kill people maybe the sick o's would think long and hard before they go around shooting innocent people.i cant believe somebody would actually defend this sick freak!!

Like the bible says an eye for a eye a life for a life.I hope he burns ih hell for what he did to thos helpless people. He is a monster.

@ChaoticDayZ

"You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth". But I say to you, do not resist an evildoer. If anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also." (Matthew 5:38–39)

If one quotes the bible should he not be well versed in the word of Christ?

Taking the bible out of context, and living by old testament makes your point of this execution being the "Christian" thing to do moot. This type of Klansman-esque attitude just proves a good portion of Americans judge others by standards of which we do not judge ourselves, so I leave you with:

"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
(Matthew 7:5)

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again"
(Matthew 7:2)

Sorry to criticize, but I cannot sit and watch as the bible is misquoted time and again. Peace be with you all.

It would be funny so see all the previous comment's family members or friends be scheduled to killed, how quickly their opinion would change?!

Those cops that found them at the rest stop could have saved us all alot of time and money. They found the car, they were inside and they could see the weapon. They should have filled that car with lead and called it a day.

Vox populi, vox Dei - The voice of the people is the voice of God. If the voice of the people rightly doesn't see him fit to inhabit this planet any longer, then God will grant him a free passage! Man is God to man!

To Mr.X?...Regardless of the fact you are sympathetic towards this murder, how do you know no one on here has experience something like this??And how do you know what their feeling would be if its one of their family members that was going to be Executed???...I have been there both ways, un-fortunaly we have know control over our children once they are grown to adults.

But? when you have taught your kids the rights from wrong and then they still choose to make harsh or bad decisions. Its pretty much out of your hands, all you can do is pray for them.

Now to get back to what you were saying, about if it was your family member, the opinions would change? maybe and maybe not...This selfish human being took innocent lives with no care of no ones else feelings of how they should DIE!!!!...He chose their fates for them. Now someone earlier in they post quoting the bible, which is fine But?? do it on your own time..We all know that vengence is gods and know ones debating that.I honestly could care one way or the other if he dies by injection or spend the rest of his life in jail. The fact is it wont bring these people back!..

He must have a reason to carry out such imoral and ingodly act.

eye for an eye tooth for a tooth. what you end up with is starving blind people. Christ forgives even this monster

There is only one way this monster of a man should be delt with, death by firing squad.I am sick to death of the almost nightly bombardment of heart wrenching episodes.I am in favor of drastic measures. For example, make it manditory if your the head of household, you are required to own a home defence fire arm,and be certified to use it.Perhaps a yearly requalification with the local police department.

I think the system contradicting. Yea it is totally wron to take someone life who is gives the system to do the same crime like he did. That just my opinion I do feel better to what has happen to the families and victims.
