Quarterbacks and running backs may get most of the hype, but for those who really know football it's another position that really matters most,. Do you know which one it is?

The most important position of all, to many football experts, is the left tackle on the offensive line, because left tackles protect a right handed quarterback in an area he can't see. Since a right handed QB has his back turned to linebackers from the left side, he needs the best blocking possible on that "blind side," making left tackles among the highest paid NFL players even though most casual fans might never know their names. The new movie "Blind Side" about Michael Oher is a reference to this crucial role played by left tackles.
