Paul Newman Posthumous Fundraiser

After a life devoted to charity work, Paul Newman was remembered by his many friends with a Paul Newman posthumous fundraiser soon after he passed.

The celebrity studded charity affair raised money for a children's camp founded by Paul Newman, dedicated to helping kids who suffer from life-threatening illnesses. Newman was famous throughout his career for giving tremendously to charity, especially through his wide range of "Newman's Own" foods on sale pretty much everywhere.

Said Danny Glover ""We expected Paul to be with us and so this kind of turned into kind of a tribute. This is the first time we are doing this without Paul--there is a void there, without a doubt." But there is no doubt Newman will always be present in the world, both through his artistic work and his humanitarian work.

The world lost a generous, wonderful, beautiful man. I'm sure he will live in the hearts and minds of all the people he touched with his great spirit and generosity, as well as his loving family.

Paul Newman had style, not that of a Hollywood actor, but that of being universal: good looks, multi-talent, fameous, wealthy, and a generous, caring individual who stood out among the Hollywood crowd as a man much more than a movie star.

Mr. Newman was a great actor and person and will be missed. Actors of his type almost don't exist anymore and that famous stare he had would make anybody freeze in their tracks....God Bless him, his family and the rich legacy he left behind.

In this world of selfishness, greed, and self effacement, Paul Newman will be remembered ad infinitum for his concern for the less fortunate among us. A shining example of what a true role model should be. Rest in peace. You richly deserve it.

The only time I cried when a celebrity died was when Paul Newman passed. What a tragedy and loss. The man oozed class.
