Salvation Army: Credit Card Ready!
The days of just dropping a quarter into that red bucket are in the past, as the iconic Christmas charity enters the 21st century with a new way to help the Salvation Army: credit card donations.
This year, anyone who wants to give to the Salvation Army will be able to swipe their credit card right there on the spot. The charity believes this will bring bigger donations thanks to the convenience, and the receipt it provides, that makes it easier to put it in as tax-deductible. As the Salvation Army attempts to keep donations high in tight economic times, the new credit card reading buckets seem like a logical step.
