T-Mobile Sold Data About You?

Quit possibly. If you are a T-Mobile customer, there's a pretty good chance that T-Mobile sold data and information about you to third party companies without your consent.

T-Mobile has now confirmed, in fact, that their staff gave information about thousands of customers to thrd parties interested in using the data for market research and the like. This data about cell-phone and mobile app customers could have great value for other companies hoping to sell cell-phone service and other such portable devices and wifi connectivity hookups.

Apparently the action was taken by individual t-mobile staff members for their own personal gain, and the company was unaware of it until now. They insist this selling of customer data goes against their policies and they will make sure it does not continue. Has to make you wonder how safe your information is with any of these companies, though...
