Kangaroos: Skin Cancer Miracle Cure!

According to researchers in Australia, an enzyme found in Kangaroos may have us hopping with joy soon, as it shows potential to help fight skin cancer.

The enzyme produced by the kangaroos being studied provides extra protection to the kangaroos when they're out in the Australian sun, and medical researchers hope they can use it to devise a "dream cream" that repairs our DNA after we get too much sun.

They say the research to provide this alternative treatment for cancer stil has years to go, so for now you need to stick with traditional ways of treatment and prevention. But hopefully in a decade or so there will be a new weapon in our fight against cancer!

How can scientists help humans avoid the scourge of skin cancer? One possible answer has now jumped out at an Australian research team: a DNA repair enzyme found in kangaroos.
Researchers at Melbourne University have been studying the enzyme... Although the enzyme does not make kangaroos immune to skin cancer, it does give them added protection from the sun's rays...
