In one of the strangest twists on a celebrity family drama, Lindsay Lohan's fater Michael was quoted in the press this year blaming all of his daughter's problems on....the wrath of God?

Lohan was quoted in November saying that God was taking Lindsay's entire career away from her, "because she's forsaken everything He's given her and she's done nothing but misuse all the gifts she's given." Really, dad? Lindsay, who certainly has had her share of problems and questionable life choices, has for her part called her father a "loser" and a "lunatic."

Michael Lohan has also been quoted as saying Lindsay's mother is helping to cover up their daughter's drug addiction problems, and been in many other controversies over Lindsay's still brief career. A stressful scene, that one can only hope will clear up for Lindsay as she gets older.

Michael Lohan told the New York Post that Lindsay's career trajectory was a message straight from The Big Guy himself. "No wonder why God is taking her entire career away from her," Michael Lohan told the paper. "Because she's forsaken everything He's given her and she's done nothing but misuse all the gifts she's given." Following this logic, could another of God's punishments be giving Lindsay a father who is making a career out of trying to destroy his troubled daughter in the press?
