According to the latest grist from the rumor mill, comic Russell Brand is finally trying to tie the knot with pop star Katy Perry, after months of steady dating.

Brand was seen around town shopping for wedding rings for a while now, and finally stepped up to propose to Katy right around Christmastime, as stories have it. Hopefully this pairing will have better luck than the celebrity couples of 2009! Maybe they should play it safe and go straight to couples counsesling, preemptively.
