Van Morrison at the grqand old age of 64 just became a dad for the third time, as his third kid, George Ivan Morrison III, was born yesterday happy and healthy.

The baby, who inherits Van Morrison's real name, was born in a location the family did not reveal, but will be a dual citizen of both the United States and the United Kingdom & Ireland. Van Morrison has put a lot of effort into improving his health, getting over his alcohol addiction and setting strict rules to keep alcohol from affecting him, even banning all drinks from being sold at his concerts. Hopefully he can pass on this commitment to staying healthy as he raised his baby boy! Best of luck to him and his fam.

The 64-year-old singer - whose real name is George Ivan Morrison - and partner Gigi Lee welcomed son George Ivan Morrison III into the world yesterday (28.12.09). The 'Brown Eyed Girl' hitmaker wrote on his website: "Gigi and Van Morrison are proud to announce the birth of their first born son, George Ivan Morrison III. Little Van, born Dec 28, 2009 - the spitting image of his daddy. He is a citizen of Northern Ireland/United Kingdom and the United States."
