Kristin Chenoweth: Idol Guest Judge

Pop music and Broadway show star Kristin Chenoweth debuted as one of the new guest judges on American Idol. Chenoweth served as one of the judges for Idol in Orlando Florida, and saw 40 contestants. She said the male contestants actually performed better than the females, in the competition to make it into the blockbuster talent contest, that graduates new pop music stars just about every year.

This season's American Idol will be especially important, since it is the last one with Simon Cowell in the judge's chair, and it may also be the last one that gets the high ratings he's always brought to the show. With Cowell leaving to take over his new show X-Factor, and possibly bringing even Paula Abdul with him to that new show, American Idol could lose a bit of its mojo in pop culture, though it will surely do well enough to stay on the air.

Chenoweth says she gave a lot of criticism and and feedback, and hopes that will be shown in the edits so it won't look like she's just another celebrity judge who doesn't bring anything to the table.
