NBC Leno Replacements


It looks like NBC will soon send Conan O'Brien packing (with a truckload of money) and putting Jay Leno back in the Tonight Show slot. So now the question is, what will NBC use as Leno replacements in that chunk of time at 10PM?

According to the latest inside dirt, NBC will be bringing in a new show named "Parenthood" on Tuesdays, and Seinfeld's new reality show "The Marriage Ref" will take Thursday, with extra Law and Orders and Datelines filling up the rest of the holes. A formula for prime time success? It doesn't exactly make the pulse race with excitement, but I guess they have to work with what they've got handy.

As the standoff with Conan O'Brien continued Thursday, NBC unveiled its post-"Jay Leno Show" 10 p.m. schedule, replacing the yakker with three scripted skeins in the hour this spring. Sources close to the situation say O'Brien's camp continues to await a formal proposal in legalese from the Peacock on settling out of O'Brien's contract to host "The Tonight Show." That pact includes a mammoth penalty in the $45 million range if the Peacock were to yank O'Brien from the show...
